Neil came to check and update our very slow laptop. This wasn’t possible as it was so old, so he recommended and set up a new laptop immediately. We were delighted as it saved us trekking round computer shops, not knowing which equipment to choose. Neil also sorted out some problems I had with my iPhone. We couldn’t be happier.

Not impressed at all
After seeing the 100% 5* reviews for CPS, I emailed my enquiry as to whether they could repair a laptop which required a screen replacement. No timeframe at all was suggested for this straightforward job. The response I got from Neil was; "Sorry, we are fully booked so won’t be able to help with this one". Ridiculous and poor.

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. I’m sorry we weren’t able to help on this occasion. While screen replacements are indeed a common repair, our workload can fluctuate, and at the time of your enquiry we were fully booked and unable to take on additional jobs without risking delays for existing customers. Rather than over-promise, we prefer to be upfront and honest. I appreciate that this was disappointing, and I wish we’d been able to assist. We’re grateful for the feedback and will take it on board.

I had a new laptop which a friend installed windows 11and my files etc but not correctly. I found CPS in my local news booklet. Contacted CPS via WhatsApp he would come the same day but not convenient for me so arranged a visit the following day. Neil sorted out all my problems and lots more fantastic service, and helped me understand what he was doing. I also up graded my printer ,perfect.

I found information about CPS on the Which? Trusted Trader website. I was at my wits’ end because my desktop computer, which I rely on for creating and saving documents in particular, was running so slowly it had virtually ground to a halt. Neil agreed to come round on the Thursday afternoon of the same week (he would have come sooner if I’d been available). He phoned me a couple of hours before to confirm his ETA, as I had requested. On arrival, he diagnosed the problem with lightning speed, and offered me the option of a replacement part, which would have been quite cheap, or I might opt for a new computer, as mine was getting on a bit. After a discussion, I opted for the latter, with no pressure whatsoever from Neil. He had one of CPS’s own specially built computers on his van. He installed the new computer and transferred all the data with amazing speed and efficiency. The end result is an incredibly fast and responsive machine which is a delight to use. CPS also installed their preferred Sentinel Security system, with my agreement, and in a year’s time I will be offered an annual service. The whole operation took less than 3 hours, and Neil was pleasant and courteous throughout. Having a specially built new computer was not a cheap option, but I am glad I chose it. I also have the comfort of knowing CPS is there to help.

Problems with Microsoft

I had been having difficulties with accessing Microsoft from my laptop and was finding it more and more frustrating trying to log in. I found out about Neil and his company on our local community Facebook page, having read very favourable reviews. I contacted him via WhatsApp and he came back to me straight away, which I was very pleased about. I cannot recommend Neil and his company enough - he provided a friendly and efficient service and swiftly sorted out the Microsoft problems I was having.

Praise where praise is due. I first contacted CPS after realising that I had been well and truly scammed by an unscrupulous company, who took remote access of my computer and, of course, the rest is history. I needed someone fast, to get me out of a mess! Looking through WHICH, I found CPS, a local company to me. I contacted them and received a response within minutes. I missed their response, initially, as I was incredibly stressed about the whole thing, so rang them the following day. Neil was close by and was with me within about half an hour. An hour later, he had well and truly sorted out the computer, printer and my mobile phone! He installed an anti virus programme that will make nonsense of anyone else trying to scam me! What an absolute relief. He also helped me with my dispute resolution payment via PayPal. That has yet to be finalised but I am very hopeful. A salutary lesson, indeed. Whereas it mattered a lot, about the money I had paid out to the unscrupulous company, the money I paid CPS was nothing on the scale of things. I am very grateful and have absolutely no hesitation in recommending their service. Neil was polite, professional, courteous and showed empathy.

5 stars from me! My computer was very old and very slow. Neil supplied me with a new computer, transferred all records and installed Windows 11 without the sales pressure that you get from larger companies and no technical jargon, I would recommend him for his customer service and very helpful advice. While a hacker was on my computer accessing my bank accounts and trying to remove the anti-virus software that Computer Problems Solutions ltd had installed , CPS were alerted that this was happening, so they tried to alert me by phone numerous times, but because I was on the phone to the hacker, (who claimed they were from Microsoft tying to remove a virus), they couldn't get through to me. So they drove several miles to my house and arrived just in time to stop the hacker and phoned my bank to alert them. They came back the next day to check my computer etc. By the way this was over a weekend.

We had been experiencing problems with internet access and increasingly slow speeds for a couple of weeks. We were having to re-boot several times a day and were on the point of throwing the computer out of the window !!! I saw an advert for PCS in a local magazine and rang on the 15th February. I explained to Neil the problems and an appointment was made for the following day. At last we could relax - professional help was just around the corner ! Neil rang back shortly afterwards to say that due to a cancellation, he could be with us within 20 minutes !! Cleared the desk and made sure the coffee pot was on. He diagnosed the potential problems within seconds. He recommended deleting certain antivirus software installing a different product and suggested relocating the router, which I did the next day. What a difference in performance !! Knowledgeable, trustworthy, professional and very friendly. We still have windows 10. Neil pointed out that our existing computer could not be upgraded to Windows 11. Fear not - we will be returning to CPS to purchase a new system. Can't speak highly enough of the service we received. Thoroughly recommend CPS to anyone

I needed to replace my very slow computer and printer. Currys were less than helpful. I phoned Neil on Wednesday 22 November and discussed my needs and the very next day he arrived with the new hardware. The data from the old computer was transferred to the new computer and the system was updated to Windows 11. I cannot express how impressed I am with him and his CPS company. It is so good to deal with a small business rather than a huge company. It was so good that everything was done in my home rather than me having to take my computer elsewhere. He advised me on updating an external drive to back up my data - which I did. Totally amazing. Thanks Richard Austin
