I thought that I needed to substantially replace my very old multi-device desktop system to accommodate Windows 11. I was prepared for the upheaval and expense and had thoroughly researched my options, which seemed to involve basically starting again. Mark at Computer Repair Herts took a completely different approach, employing his extensive expertise to the situation and coming up with a robust, quick, very cost-effective solution, leaving me up to date and prepared for the next few years with a system which closely mirrored my previous one. It is such a relief to have this carried out swiftly, effectively, and end up with a system that feels familiar without a huge learning curve to adapt to the normal idiosyncrasies of a system upgrade. I was having problems with my old laptop when it started playing up and stopped functioning. After reading an article in a Which? email about computer repairs a while ago, I looked on the Which? Trusted Trader website and found Computer Repair Herts based locally in Ware, Herts. When I spoke to Mark, in his very warm friendly knowledgeable manner, he was able to put my mind at rest he could repair my 10 year old Toshiba laptop, and there was no need to replace it with a new laptop! Mark carefully explained he could transfer all the data from the old hard drive onto a new one, a solid state drive this time, without the loss of any data or any need to reprogram it to my printer. Mark gave me a price to repair the laptop and he offered to collect it the following morning, and return back after repairs the following day, turning up at the time stated on both days, very impressed. And great value with no hidden extras too. I have no connection with Computer Repair Herts other than a very happy and satisfied customer. I am very impressed with the superb service I received, putting the customer first, which is sadly missing from other service traders! I will certainly strongly recommend this company to anyone. My laptop needed a new battery - which was hidden under the keyboard. I contacted CRH and we communicated by text message to confirm the required part and give me a price quote. My Dell computer keyboard was playing up with at least three keys not working at all. The fact Mark has a recommendation from Which? convinced me I needed to go with him to get a repair and I was not disappointed. In the end he replaced my whole keyboard and also replaced the battery and the machine is performing like new and I could not be happier as it's an essential tool of my work as a writer. Not only is he a very friendly guy, Mark picked up the computer from my house and delivered it back a few days later and kept me informed every step of the way. If you have any issues and want them resolved quickly, I would have no hesitation in recommending him. I'm very happy with the work he did and would use him again in a heartbeat and it proved much cheaper than buying a new PC! His customer service is second to none and he prides himself in doing a top job which is did. I'm a very happy client.

Enormous thanks and gratitude to Mark and his team. I had a complicated transfer of files, images and video from 2009 to present day with a super old very slow desktop Mac and laptop. New machines and set ups required to save and backup old material. Mark was very helpful on the telephone and visited me to see the current set up. We had some complications with my old system and also the new hardware purchased but Mark found a way around them all. I needed 3rd party applications loading onto the new equipment and all this was done with ease and efficiency. Mark returned with the new desktop and a couple of days with the new laptop. Both set up and ready to go. Amazing! I can't recommend Mark and his team highly enough - and must stress thank you to the guys in the 'backroom' figuring out what was best to handle ALL the complications. First class service. Always easy to contact and arrange for care for my computer. My computer had started to work very slowly, a new hard drive was inserted and it now works like new. Excellent care and advice. Previously received computer care in lockdown and service again was excellent and maintained all appropriate social distancing regulations etc.

I contacted Mark as the hard drive on my laptop had failed. It was collected on the same day and was returned within two days with a new drive fitted and all of my files recovered. A great service and a good price. Would certainly use again and highly recommend.

Once again superb service from Mark and the team. My computer fan was making a lot of noise so I contacted Mark. He very quickly came to my house and took the computer away. He contacted me the next day to say that the fan should be replaced and I agreed to this. We also agreed that he would conduct a health check and clean the inside. Two days later Mark returned to my house, installed the computer and tested it. All was perfect once again. I am very grateful to Mark and the team for their excellent service and it is a joy to deal with such a friendly and professional company. Really pleased with Mark's work. I originally took my laptop to PC World as that's where I bought it from. It's out of warranty but still fairly new. They entered the model number into their system and apparantly can't source any parts so refused to even look at it. Mark agreed to have a look and it, came to my home to collect and later the same day called me with the part problem (turns out it was just the charger) and a very reasonable price. Once the part came through he delivered back to me as early as possible. Again, really pleased with the service and the price. Will definitely use again and highly recommend.

I have used this company on a number of occasions over time with home laptops and PCs that had developed various faults due to different hardware issues. On each occasion, they picked up the machine from my property, were able to identify the issue in good time, phoned to communicate findings and discuss potential next steps, and then delivered the repaired machine back to me.

If I could give 6 stars I would. The service fixing my MacBook couldn't have been better, Mark collected my computer and returned it within 24 hours. Mark did pre-warn me that in fixing my keyboard he may also need to replace the battery at an extra cost of £125.00 (something I wouldn't have known either way), yet was able to save mine and keep my costs down. 4th time I have used Mark. Fixed a couple of problems with my Dell Laptop. Picked up, repaired & returned within 48 hours. Really good customer service, quality work & competitive price.

I don't normally leave reviews, but on this occasion I thought I would make an exception. I cannot rate these people highly enough. My Data drive worked fine on Thursday and then just died on Friday morning (it is over 12 years old). I had work documents I needed to access but also more importantly, it was my back up drive and I had literally thousands of family photos on it. My Wife rung late morning on Friday, the drive was collected around 2 hours later. I had a courtesy call on Saturday morning to say work had begun and then another on Monday to say all data recovered. I was expecting a big bill from Google Searches relating to other companies, but the data was retrieved (all of it) and placed on a new hard disk at just over £100. I think this price was more than reasonable, given that the disk might have cost me close to £40 alone. I was kept in touch all the way and the work was quick and great, great value for money. Would I use these people again. 110%.

When I called on Christmas Eve, in a pandemic, with a broken laptop it was a relief to be spoken to by someone who obviously knew their trade, their timescale limits and who offered reassurance, respect and realistic timeframe to solution. Having just collected my now fixed laptop 4 days after dropping it off I could not be happier. Mark and his team work hard and offer continued high level service even during a lockdown. I will use them again, but hopefully won't need to!
