Continental Fireplaces Limited

We bought our gas stove from Continental Fireplaces around 3 years ago and the installation was first class. Every 12 months they carry out a service and this years was on 5 January. Like the previous services all went perfectly and their fitter was very tidy and cleaned up afterwards and even oiled the slate hearth. He was also very friendly and presentable and obviously knew what he was doing.

Continental Fireplaces recently fitted a Woodwarm Eco 5kw multifuel burner for me. From my first visit to their show room in Church Stretton to the final installation their Customer Service was amazing. Excellent communication, detailed product knowledge, and a well-informed customer journey, demonstrated that Continental Fireplaces were an excellent choice. At the survey stage the process was explained to me and all my options were discussed. The installation took two days as there was an existing fireplace to rip out and some remedial work once the stove was in place. All work was completed to a very high standard. The fitters were very tidy and there was minimum disruption to home life. I'm delighted with the final results. It has transformed my living room into a welcoming and cosy environment. Our twenty seven-year-old Yeoman woodburning stove & associated flue-lining were coming to the end of their design life and no longer conformed to current regulations. Continental Fireplaces were recommended. They made suggestions, surveyed the site, quoted for the work, fitted a new flue and a more efficient Woodworm Firegem multifuel stove. It was also necessary to replace the combustible oak beam fireplace detail with a new non-combustible type. All this was accomplished in less than 8 weeks (including receipt of the HETAS Compliance Certificate). Continental Fireplaces has a small team of dedicated staff, and this is proved by the excellent result due to the professionalism shown by Adam in sales department, Jeremy the surveyor, Jonathan & Matt's superb installation and Jane in accounts. We are delighted with our new stove; everything works well. This small company deserves to flourish, and we wholeheartedly recommend them.

The team did such a great job installing two fires for us, they were patient and flexible when we were making last minute decisions and nothing was too much trouble. We honestly couldn't be happier with the quality of work or the finished result.

Our experience with Continental Fireplaces Ltd covers only a few months from Quotation and Product Selection to Order Placement and Installation to Testing of the product. At each stage of the process we felt more than happy that we could absolutely trust both the administrative and technical information that we were given . Such confidence and trust was a fundamental component of our decision to go with yourselves and you certainly lived up to all our expectations . All this is in marked contrast to our experience with other suppliers . I had a gas log-effect stove installed in August 2022. From start to finish the service was excellent. They began by removing a very heavy Rayburn range with minimum fuss. The balanced flue and stove were installed quickly and efficiently. It has proved to be one of my best purchases! It has just had its second annual service and I am still delighted with it. Perhaps even more important than the installation is the fact that a small problem was dealt with quickly and pleasantly. The good service does not stop once you have paid the Invoice. This is a very rare occasion on which I would recommend a company but I would certainly use Continental Fireplaces again.

Jonathan and Matt were exceptional with the work completed on time and to highest standard, very pleased have and will recommend to others stressing the very best workmanship possible. Marks out of 10 , 12 would be minimum, second project for us completed to professional and detailed standard will use again without hesitation.

I have had a gas log burner fitted. I was advised about sweeping the chimney beforehand -efficient, tidy, great service on that. They came as planned, again, did the job, cleaned up and left NO mess, were friendly and professional. As expected from word of mouth recommendations, a really good job done well.

This is the second time we have used Continental; the date and time was agreed and all paperwork and deposit completed prior to the installation. The team pitched up on time and immediately made the area safe for the work and covered everything! The work was completed to a very high standard we then had a full explanation and detailed demonstration of how everything worked. This company has an outstanding reputation in Shropshire and I would wholeheartedly recommend them.

After spending four months looking for a suitable installer we noticed a Continental Fireplaces van in the area. We spoke to the team, they came out to us immediately after finishing that job, to assess and give advice to us. Their professional, knowledgeable approach made them stand out from all other installers. The work was quickly and competently completed. Communication with the office team and installers was excellent. I emphasis that all the work was of a high quality, but I must put in a special word of thanks for the smooth plastering work. I would definitely use them again and recommend them.
