Ordered a fire for my 90-year-old mother - From the very first visit to view the location and explain our options, Continental Fireplaces were an excellent company to deal with. They gave friendly and helpful advice, along with an honest assessment and appraisal of what would be required, and where any stumbling blocks (such as clear chimney) might be encountered. Communication from start to finish has been excellent and their staff friendly, helpful and professional, leaving my clean and tidy. I am delighted with the job they have done and would highly recommend them to anyone.

Ordered a fireplace surround for my 85-year-old mother and agreed on the date for installation. In all aspects of this process, Continental Fireplaces were an excellent company to deal with, giving great support and advice with the choice of surround. Then came COVID19, throughout the pandemic Continental Fireplaces kept me and my mother informed about what was going on and what was going to be done to ensure safety. When the fire surround was fitted, the quality of work completed was to the highest standards. The work was carried out with minimal disruption by a professional and hard-working fitting team who could have not been more friendly or considerate of the client and the current circumstances. My mother was delighted with the whole experience saying that "it now felt like a proper lounge". Stovax Sheraton 5 Wide . Just had a new wood burner installed by Jonathan and his team at Continental Fireplaces. Work required to change fireplace, install new flue and hearth and install fire. We could not be more pleased with the service and the end result. From visiting the showroom, through to completion was a trouble free experience. Ashley, in the showroom was very helpful and knowledgeable and with his guidance we chose the right fireplace. From Jonathans first visit to assess and quote for the work to the installation day we were kept informed. Jonathan fully explained the pros and cons of our choices and guided us through the installation. Over the two days of the actual installation Jonathan and the team were brilliant, they worked extremely hard and professionally, leaving no mess and a perfect result. The new brick work is great the fireplace look fantastic and works perfectly. A great experience and one company we would highly recommend and would not hesitate to use again. After years of improving the insulation of the house, we were finding our existing 12kW log burner overpowering to say the least. Plus ever since it was fitted we had been putting up with smoke spillage whenever the door was opened and so we visited the Continental Fires showroom to see if they could suggest a better option for us. They arranged for Jeremy to call around and he recommended fitting a Woodwarm Fireview Eco (5kW) together with a completely new flue. Two weeks later Jonathon and Matt arrived to fit the fire. Once they got the register plate out, and we could see the old flue, it was obvious why the fire had never worked properly. It was an odd mix of various pipes and bends fitted to accommodate the existing external flue which had to remain as this is a listed building. The new flue is a work of art, it’s such a shame that now the register plate is back no one will ever see it again. The way they have connected the flue through the plate and into the fire, which is visible, is extremely neat. A massive improvement on what we had before. We are really impressed with the Woodwarm fire, we hadn’t heard of them before and just went with Jeremy’s recommendation but it’s a massive improvement on the very famous make of fire we had previously. We are very glad that we took the plunge and decided to swap our log burner, even happier that we chose Continental Fires to do the work for us.

We can’t recommend Continental Fireplaces highly enough. They are consummate professionals who really know what they’re doing. We wanted a new fireplace insert and surround, but to use our existing fire, and it took quite a while to decide which style was the best for us. Ashley in the showroom was so helpful and really patient. Jonathan came out twice to survey, the second time because we’d changed our minds. He and Matt did the fitting and were really excellent and a pleasure to work with. We couldn’t be more thrilled with the finished product.

We needed to have a LPG fire fitted in the lounge of our new build property and approached a couple of companies for advice and quotations. This company was by far the more professional and was up front with the pros and cons. From entering the shop premises right to the fitting we found the staff had full knowledge of the products displayed and of the product that was chosen, the advice was first class. The fitting completed in half a day and the lounge was left neat and tidy. All in all we made a good choice to use this company.

Continental Fireplaces helped us to make the correct choice of product for our house and installed the new gas fire promptly and professionally. We are very pleased with the result.
