Ordered a fire for my 90-year-old mother - From the very first visit to view the location and explain our options, Continental Fireplaces were an excellent company to deal with. They gave friendly and helpful advice, along with an honest assessment and appraisal of what would be required, and where any stumbling blocks (such as clear chimney) might be encountered. Communication from start to finish has been excellent and their staff friendly, helpful and professional, leaving my clean and tidy. I am delighted with the job they have done and would highly recommend them to anyone.

Having recently had a wood burner installed by Contintental Fireplaces, we can highly recommend them. The tradesmen - Matt and Andy - who completed the job were cheerful and clearly enjoyed their work and their attention to detail couldn't be faulted. They certainly are a credit to the company. Jeremy, who done the initial survey, later came to advise us on how to get the best from the fire. He even gave us a bag of dried wood to get us started. From the point of sale to final commissioning everything was done when agreed and to a first class standard. Sincere thanks to all at Contintental Fireplaces. We will have no hesitation in recommending you in the future.

I can't say how good this company has been, their communication has been brilliant throughout the project. Any delays in manufacture we were always informed immediately. They turn up to site smartly presented, professional and show the upmost care for your home. Protecting the floor and surroundings and treating your home as they would their own. It was a very special fire that they installed and the company was more than up to the job. I would recommend them to anyone. I would give them 6 Stars if I could.

Stovax Sheraton 5 Wide . Just had a new wood burner installed by Jonathan and his team at Continental Fireplaces. Work required to change fireplace, install new flue and hearth and install fire. We could not be more pleased with the service and the end result. From visiting the showroom, through to completion was a trouble free experience. Ashley, in the showroom was very helpful and knowledgeable and with his guidance we chose the right fireplace. From Jonathans first visit to assess and quote for the work to the installation day we were kept informed. Jonathan fully explained the pros and cons of our choices and guided us through the installation. Over the two days of the actual installation Jonathan and the team were brilliant, they worked extremely hard and professionally, leaving no mess and a perfect result. The new brick work is great the fireplace look fantastic and works perfectly. A great experience and one company we would highly recommend and would not hesitate to use again. Ordered a fireplace surround for my 85-year-old mother and agreed on the date for installation. In all aspects of this process, Continental Fireplaces were an excellent company to deal with, giving great support and advice with the choice of surround. Then came COVID19, throughout the pandemic Continental Fireplaces kept me and my mother informed about what was going on and what was going to be done to ensure safety. When the fire surround was fitted, the quality of work completed was to the highest standards. The work was carried out with minimal disruption by a professional and hard-working fitting team who could have not been more friendly or considerate of the client and the current circumstances. My mother was delighted with the whole experience saying that "it now felt like a proper lounge". A big thank you to Continental Fireplaces for a job well done and a high standard of friendly professional service.

We wanted to replace an open fire in a 1980s mock stone fireplace surround, with an efficient log burner in an inglenook. Jeremy visited and we outlined what we wanted and he provided an acceptable quote for building a new fireplace, installing a fire and flue, in fact the complete job. The work would take 3 days from start to finish. And they could just fit us in, in the week before Christmas! Whilst we changed our mind several times on the design, eventually we did make up our mind. All I can say is that they were very patient! The allotted day arrived and two men appeared who proceeded to roll back the carpet and cover all the furniture. By the end of day one, the old fireplace was out, an entry to the chimney, for the new flue was cut out and the first few rows of blocks and bricks, forming the new chamber, laid. Day 2 saw the rest of the false chimney breast completed in framework, the flue installed and the hearth laid. Day 3 and the plasterer arrived to plasterboard the chimney breast framework and plaster over the block work, leaving the handmade rustic bricks within the chamber exposed. By mid day three they had tidied up and left, leaving the plasterer to get a perfect finish to his plasterwork At every stage, the men were keen to discuss the options, they didn’t assume anything. The process was totally stress free, they arrived and left when they said they would. They were very tidy workers and cleared up at the finish. Fully recommended.

This was our second fire from Continental Fireplaces. This time we wanted our chimney breast and fireplace rebuilding. The team were punctual, efficient and professional from first site visit to commissioning of the fire. We were very happy with the standard of construction work on the new chimney breast. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Continental Fireplaces to any one thinking of using them.

We can’t recommend Continental Fireplaces highly enough. They are consummate professionals who really know what they’re doing. We wanted a new fireplace insert and surround, but to use our existing fire, and it took quite a while to decide which style was the best for us. Ashley in the showroom was so helpful and really patient. Jonathan came out twice to survey, the second time because we’d changed our minds. He and Matt did the fitting and were really excellent and a pleasure to work with. We couldn’t be more thrilled with the finished product.

We needed to have a LPG fire fitted in the lounge of our new build property and approached a couple of companies for advice and quotations. This company was by far the more professional and was up front with the pros and cons. From entering the shop premises right to the fitting we found the staff had full knowledge of the products displayed and of the product that was chosen, the advice was first class. The fitting completed in half a day and the lounge was left neat and tidy. All in all we made a good choice to use this company.

Quite simply a pleasure to work with such knowledgeable, reliable and friendly people. We wanted to replace an oil fired Aga-type cooker with an electric version and add a small wood-burning stove into our kitchen. In the showroom we received excellent advice and guidance on the options to consider. We received a site visit to check the recommendation and plan for installation. We are delighted with our choices and with how the work has been undertaken. Continental Fireplaces were always on time; they dealt creatively and positively with a number of challenges (our house is very old); and they were unfailingly clean, tidy, considerate and friendly. The administrative and after-sales care we have received has been faultless and we really feel we were treated as individuals, where everyone knew the job and what we were doing.
