It is correct we did install a room stat and the client reported an issue thereafter. We have tried to explain to him what is occurring. He does not live there and the resident is not a tenant. The issue is that the boiler does not always come on with the timer not that the stat (which we fitted) does not work. I am not sure the client really understood this. We then installed a second room stat for free at our expense, just to prove the stat was not at fault and the issue as expected persisted, we also changed their timer (which was not installed by us) and the issue still persisted. I have explained to the client that the issues was not caused by the stat. I have offered to remove the stat returning the installation to how it was before but explained this would probably not solve the issue which is likely to be the inside the boiler itself (the boiler does not always come on when it receives the instruction from the control). I have tried to explain this issue to the client on the phone but unfortunately, he was not to participate fully in the conversation becoming extremely irritated, he became very animated and irate, shouting, declaring the conversation was too boring and terminated the phone call. The client has declined further assistance (offered without costs).
