I've used Culkin a couple of times - once to change a tap and then to install a new boiler. I've found them very professional, communicative and competitively priced. They are really easy to deal with and reply promptly to emails. Both plumbers they sent arrived on time and cleaned up after they'd finished. All round really good service.

I've used Culkin Plumbers several times and it's always been a pleasant experience. They are efficient, fast and value for money. Last week I called them out for a toilet problem and they correctly identified that the issue was a blocked drain.

The hot water exchange on my combi boiler was blocked causing the hot water to go on and off. The team from Culkin power flushed the system and took the hot water exchange out to clean the blockage. Problem solved. They gave good advice and checked everything was working properly. The team was friendly and helpful. They are in demand so took 2 weeks to book them in. Would definitely use again.

I every I called Caulkin Heating and Plumbing as they do my gas certificate every year. It was Friday afternoon and they couldn't come till Monday, so I called and emergency plumbers. HUGE MISTAKE - they wanted to replace the boiler saying it was beyond repair and it was going to cost 3500.00 for new one. Caulkin came on the Monday, saw that the air pressure value needed replacing, ordered the part and did 3 more follow up visits for a total of 362.40. Big Difference. I have always found them to be honest reliable and very honest. I wanted to share what happens when you don't get a Trusted Trader to either do work or quote. Sometimes its better to wait for a professional. I can not recommend Caulkin more highly.

Culkin have been servicing my boiler in order to complete a landlord certificate for my boiler and cooker for many years. I have had various jobs completed by them with no complaints. I find them to be prompt, efficient and reliable. The plumbers are personable and professional they explain what they have done or what they intend to do and why. I find their rates reasonable and the fact that they are a small local company is a bonus.I think we should support local businesses.

It is correct we did install a room stat and the client reported an issue thereafter. We have tried to explain to him what is occurring. He does not live there and the resident is not a tenant. The issue is that the boiler does not always come on with the timer not that the stat (which we fitted) does not work. I am not sure the client really understood this. We then installed a second room stat for free at our expense, just to prove the stat was not at fault and the issue as expected persisted, we also changed their timer (which was not installed by us) and the issue still persisted. I have explained to the client that the issues was not caused by the stat. I have offered to remove the stat returning the installation to how it was before but explained this would probably not solve the issue which is likely to be the inside the boiler itself (the boiler does not always come on when it receives the instruction from the control). I have tried to explain this issue to the client on the phone but unfortunately, he was not to participate fully in the conversation becoming extremely irritated, he became very animated and irate, shouting, declaring the conversation was too boring and terminated the phone call. The client has declined further assistance (offered without costs).

Used Jeff initially for an annual boiler check in 2014 and then early Dec' 2015. Dec 18th 2015 Jeff & Michael recently completed installing a new sink, taps & shower for me. They were brilliant, they explained everything they needed to do in plain English. Michael fitted some easier taps for me because I have osteoarthritis which I thought was very kind of him (off his own back). They ended up having to fix stuff the other tradesman made a mess of, they charged me only the agreed quoted price. They have a lovely team of young men who clean up after themselves, are polite & professional. I had to call them back they came back without hesitation and fixed the problem. They went over and beyond the call of duty. It's really hard to find honest, decent reasonably priced tradesmen who do such a brilliant job. I consider them to be my plumbers now and the great thing is they are local. Thank you Jeff, Michael & your team for doing such a fantastic job for me it was very much appreciated. Thank you Which for having such trusted tradesmen on the site.

Jeff and Michael are hard workers. Everything is completed to the highest standard at an extremely fair price. They stay until the jobs finished and are honest and genuine in their work. Thanks very much guys for the new boiler and for installing it promptly for me. I would recommend calling these guys for your plumbing or heating needs because I don't think they could fail you. Genuine people who communicate with you and try to complete their work in your interests.

I normally don't leave reviews, but felt that I should share my good luck. Jeff Culkin is a very good plumber. He knows what he is talking about and backs this up with good work. I have used his services twice and both times was very satisfied with the work performed.

Jeff's local service is very good value for money. He was also helpful when it came to dealing with an additional request (my fault!) and is honest and forthcoming - he found a free solution to a problem that otherwise might have required expensive new parts and a return visit. As other reviewers say, he also returns phone calls and emails promptly.

At last, a plumber who not only knows what he's doing but also answers E-mails, replies to phone messages and turns up when he is supposed to. He performed a chemical flush on my central heating system and also adjusted some settings to help with pressure problems. The boiler overheated the next morning due to an airlock, but he called me within half an hour of my E-mail and came back immediately to check the system.
