Groves moved our possessions out on 4/10/24 into storage for what was supposed to be 2 weeks end of chain, however when we found out that the property we was purchasing apparently had no planning permission beginning of another chain, our storage turned into 6 months, eventually we found another property & Groves delivered our possessions on 2/4/25, all of our possessions were in good condition & it was nice to see the guys again who had moved us out 6 months previously. D.C. Groves & Son are an excellent choice for moving house & would thoroughly recommend them to everyone. 5*

From the initial quote to the day of moving DC Groves acted very professionally and at all times with good humour. Nothing was too much trouble. On the day of the move, they turned up promptly, worked efficiently and treated our possessions with respect. Moving out was finished in good time. When it came to moving into our new house, the team of two worked with precision and effectiveness despite being one man down (due to injury). Move (350 miles and storage) completed most satisfactorily under initially difficult circumstances. Efficient, clean and professional. No complaints and communication excellent.

The move was stress free. Quick. And really professional. The movers knew how to take apart furniture and put it back together. They can on time and finished sooner than I thought.

After considerable research we chose this local removals company for our relocation project that was undertaken over four days. We opted for their 'packing fragiles service' on top of the basic removal offer. Anthony and his team are very experienced and a pleasure to work with, despite our last minute unavoidable schedule changes, challenging access and grim weather conditions on the packing and loading days. Their logistics plan was plainly explained to us in advance and was executed professionally, with any changes accommodated without fuss or cost review. Groves were recommended to us and we used them for a local move. We have made a considerable downsize with some furniture staying in the house, some coming with us and some going to charity. The team took all this in their stride and everything ended up where it was supposed to be. The team were very professional; experts in moving some very heavy pieces and happy to accommodate a change of mind on the placing of some items. The job went extremely well and I felt in very capable hands at a very stressful time. Would not hesitate to recommend.

All those in the office were very helpful polite and very efficient. The guys were great quick helpful and very funny when loading the lorry and more so when unloading. So professional they definitely knew their job. Would have no hesitation in recommending them.

We used Groves for 2 residential moves. The first move was from our large 15th century Hall House where we had lived for 21 years. A third of our items went to our temporary (2 years) accommodation while two-thirds went into storage. Then, from our temporary accommodation, we moved to our present home which meant adding the items in storage to our ‘new’ home. The Groves ‘system’ was extremely efficient and easy to work with. The management team were very cooperative and helpful. The removal van workers were all extremely friendly, cooperative and caring. Groves Removals and Container Storage are the most 100% excellent team that we have been fortunate enough to use and interact with ever. (Having moved many times in the UK and abroad)
