This is my 2nd move using D.C Groves, and I would highly recommend them. The team arrived on Thurs to start packing up & loading and finished packing and loading Fri morning, I was in the new house and fully unloaded by mid-afternoon. I totally didn't consider the fact that the new house front and internal doors were smaller/narrower than the old house, but the team rose to the challenge of getting my couches over the garden fence and in through the patio doors and again with the office desk having to be dismantled and reassembled (which weren't part of the moving plan) - but nothing was too much trouble, super helpful, friendly and cheerful, for me they made the whole move stress free and I just needed to point to where the furniture/boxes were going and make tea which was the least I could do.

Very helpful team and very efficient. Friendly team who made moving house run smoothly. Good value for money.

I recently had to organise a big residential move from Tenterden to London and had a couple of quotes for the job. I ended up choosing Tenterden Removals/ D C Groves - they were really excellent from first contact and initial assessment with Ian - giving a clear and professional quote and explanation of the process. Follow up contact with Pippa and her colleagues at the office was efficient and friendly and the team (Andy, John, Andrew and Jack) who packed up the house in one day and carried out the move and unpacking three days later were incredibly polite, friendly and hard-working. Brilliant! Thank you all.

From survey of my house to final delivery every contact with Groves was a pleasure. The management and office staff were always helpful and the lads doing the lifting were careful and completely unfazed by any changes of my mind as to where things were to go. Well done all!

Moving house can be very stressful but I can honestly say they made it very easy and painless and I would definitely recommend.

We had a complicated move, some things going in to long-term storage and some into short-term at Groves' own warehouse. The initial survey was carried very efficiently and the removals done with great care over two days. The staff were friendly, polite and helpful. The price was reasonable compared to another estimate we obtained. Highly recommended.

This was a little move out of storage and I’ve done several in 3 years with Tenterden Removals including a big one! Such a warm and incredibly efficient company/brand, they’re almost like family now! Nothing is too much trouble from multiple quotes for all possible scenarios you’re mulling over to on the day hand-holding. Everything carefully packed and I was able to donate to charity furniture I didn’t need, so helpful. Can’t recommend them highly enough! Delighted!

We hadn't moved house for a long time and were naturally concerned about how difficult it would be. DC Groves were really helpful and it soon became apparent that they knew precisely what they were doing and nothing was too much trouble even when it came to lifting furniture through an upstairs window. They just took everything in their stride and knew what would work. They took a lot of care loading, unloading and moving stuff around - nothing broken or scratched which was a relief as we packed ourselves. This is probably down to the loads of advice and guidance they gave about how to pack in to boxes safely. They were only a bit above the lowest quote we received so we couldn't have done any better.

We booked D C Groves to move us from Kent to Shropshire. The whole process from visiting to quote to follow up call after our move was a dream. A lovely and pleasant team to work with. The guys on move days were professional, polite, respectful, prepared and a joy to have around. Thank you to the whole team.

We chose Groves as they were able to move us over 2 days when other companies wanted 3 days. The team were very pleasant and efficient and carried out the removals under the most horrendous weather. They then had a very difficult journey to Portsmouth but were with us the next day bright and early as promised. They wrapped up our delicates very well and we didn't have any breakages. A couple of the boxes did get wet which couldn't be helped but the team waited while we checked the contents and they were happy that no damage had been done. All in all we were very pleased with the service we received which was carried out within the time frame and price quoted.

We have just moved from Kent to Dorset with Tenterden Removals /D C Groves. The quotation process was fast and efficient and they provided a very competitive quote. Moving is not cheap but we decided to go with the packing and move option. Well worth it ! The move out day although stressful was alleviated by a prompt arrival as agreed. John ( our move manager ) and the great lads got on with the packing and worked very hard. They were cheerful, courteous and packed our belongings with the utmost care. On move in day, after a very early start for them, John and the team arrived on time. They quickly and carefully moved all our belongings into our new house. Nothing was too much trouble. Having not moved for 20 years and approached the whole process with some trepidation. We were very pleased with John and the team and would not hesitate to recommend them to others. Just one learning opportunity, from the quote to the move day we had sent a couple of e mails re the status of the exchange as we did not want to lose our 'slot' and later also making slight amendments to the items we were taking. We did not receive much of a response so we would recommend better and more friendly communications via e mail or phone from their head office. That said as we now sit in our new home, we are pleased we chose Tenterden Removals/ D C Groves.

D C Groves & Son were very responsive from the start, arranging a survey quickly and providing a quotation efficiently. The removal team arrived on time, were very courteous and humorous. They packed the house during the day, taking good care of the furniture and effects and proved very amiable and conscientious. A first-class service - highly recommended!

D C Groves moved the contents of my second floor London flat to Kent. The company quoted promptly for the work and were extremely professional throughout the process, responding to queries quickly and efficiently. On the day of the move the van arrived well on time. The removal team were polite and friendly, they worked hard and took great care loading and unloading the van and nothing was too much trouble, nothing was marked or damaged. I have no hesitation in recommending this company.

The quote came through very quickly after the initial visit, and removal to storage included multiple smaller vehicles because of restricted access which saved me a whole lot of aggro. On the day the guys handled it all very well. When we eventually got to the other end, again restricted access but 2 guys with 2 trucks made light work of the whole thing, getting stuck right into it even after a 4-hour + journey.

DC Groves were excellent...from the first request for a quote, right through to completing the move. The guys turned up on time to pack the day before the move, and this level of service continued throughout. They were polite, professional, exceptionally hard-working and very efficient. Nothing was too much trouble. Everything in the house and garden was moved into the new house in perfect condition. I couldn't recommend DC Groves highly enough.

I would recommend D C Groves removals as they made a very stressful time as easy as they could. Our move took a lot of planning as we moved from Kent to Devon over three days. When we arrived at our new home in Devon on moving day [ late in the day] the removal team had already arrived and had unloaded the garden and shed items so did not waste anytime. They returned the following morning to finish unloading and they were very careful with all they moved. I would recommend them to anyone.

Excellent service provided by the team at D C Groves & Son. All were very helpful over the phone with an appointment to quote arranged quickly. The quote then arrived quicker and better value than expected with all the information clearly detailed. On the day they arrived promptly and the move went very smoothly with the two guys very professional and polite throughout.
