A very loud ‘clonk’ had developed when my toilet filler shut off and got worse over a few months until now unnervingly loud. Also a slight leak through very rusty bolts holding bottom plate below the cistern. I sent a message to Dan on Sun 30th, not expecting a reply until Monday, but Dan replied soon after posting and said he’d ring me on Monday. This he did and said he’d come to look at the job. The toilet, an Ideal Standard, is 20 years old, but he thought it was possible to fix as long as he could get rusty bolts out, even if he needed to use a hacksaw. He left to look for parts and promised to ring me later in the afternoon with an estimate. Imagine my surprise when he rang a couple of hours later to say he had all the parts and had time to complete the job there and then! The estimate was about the sum I had expected so I was extremely happy. Fortunately no problems getting the rusty bolts removed from the bottom plate and the job was finished smoothly. Dan is very friendly and personable and easy to talk to. Communication was excellent. He works neatly and everything was left clean and tidy and the job checked several times for leaks before he was satisfied. Normally he’s very busy so my luck he was having an easy day today as I’d have been happy to wait for a space in his schedule having spoken to him earlier. I wouldn’t hesitate to ask for his services again and would happily recommend him to anybody.

Dan installed a new boiler, removed the old system and water tanks including the one in the loft and replaced the bathroom tank with a small radiator to create and airing cupboard, he also swapped out another radiator for us. We chose Dan over the other 4 quotes we had as when our old boiler went he was the only person willing to get it up and running to keep us going until the new boiler was installed, I’ve no idea how we would have coped otherwise with 2 young children in the house. He’s very easy to have around and he is quick. It took a day and a half and when he left he took all his rubbish and left the house clean and tidy. We are very happy.

My 10+ year Glowworm boiler had it's annual maintenance and all clear in October undertaken by my regular plumber, but as it continued to make occasional noises which sounded like a helicopter, I contacted Dan, the recommended local heating engineer on Glowworm's website. It turns out my old boiler had been leaking for some time and had other issues. Dan installed my new Glowworm boiler as well as undertaking the necessary remedial work to comply with regulations in one day. While installing the new boiler, Dan had noticed damp patches round the cold water tank in the loft. As it wasn't clear at first where the water was coming from, a couple of adjustments were made and over the next days the situation was monitored. By Sunday late afternoon, the water had started to discolour and lift the ceiling paper in the bedroom below. Dan came round without hesitation, was able to identify the issue and over the next hour, stopped the leak. I highly recommend Dan, he is friendly and approachable, keeps you informed and explains what is going on. Dan is methodical and very professional and the fact that he is prepared to deal with issues on a Sunday evening makes him exceptional.

I called Dan to sort a problem with my boiler which had decided to take several days off. Dan traced the problem replaced some parts including the central heating pump coaxed the boiler into working again after it's short vacation and hey presto we have hot water and heating. Dan was quick, conscientious and took the time to check the rest of the system. All in all a pleasure to deal with. Top Marks from me.

Dan is a very efficient plumber. Installed radiators and a new boiler system. Always got back to me on any questions. Would not hesitate to recommend him, as he thinks about the work and makes suggestions so really ensures the job is done properly.Rare these days! Dan was recommended by the Glowworm webservice as a local engineer and provided a boiler repair, boiler service and some additional plumbing work, all to an excellent standard. The service was friendly, knowledgeable, prompt, good value and everything was left clean and tidy. Highly recommended.

Dan was super friendly throughout the whole process of removing our previous very old boiler and installing a new one in a brand new location. He carefully considered the best way to get the work done, and gave advice on what was worth doing and what wasn't.
