In May 2025 I had number of jobs completed on my roof, including chimney re-pointing, ridge re-bedding, flashing replacement to the rear chimney and slate vent installation. The survey at the beginning was comprehensive and communication throughout was excellent. The chimneys were well re-pointed, including the front challenging one which has narrow joints, which was previously turned down as a job by another roofer. The ridge re-bedding was thoroughly carried out and it was easy to add a further job for the rear chimney flashing when it was identified that a persistent leak was due to it's age and having split all the way down. I also opted to have tile roof vents fitted, after identifying that condensation was an issue in the loft during wintertime, due to having had retrofitted double glazing and loft insulation via a government scheme several years previously. Pricing overall was in the mid-range and reasonable. Aftercare support was excellent and very prompt when it was identified there was a manufacturing fault with one of the roof vents, which was replaced without quibble or question. I wouldn't hesitate to use D & P Roofing and Building again for any future works.

From Chrissy in the office to Paul on the roof with the apprentices, the staff were kind, professional and polite. They left my house tidier than it was before! Would not hesitate to recommend.

Although the work was quoted for in August last year, the probable lead time meant that there was no guarantee that the work could be completed before late Autumn. As I did not wish to leave my roof exposed to the weather for a long period during the winter months, I chose to delay the work until Spring. This was a good decision as the dry conditions this April allowed the work to be completed without any delays over a four day period. The work was carried out in a fully professional and courteous manner at all times. The level of disruption to our residency has been minimal and we are pleased with the outcome as well as the lack of high intensity booming bass drums which too often seem to be part of labouring activity. Fully professional at all times.

We recently had the flashing and rendering work done by D&P Roofing and Building and couldn’t be happier with the results. From start to finish, their service was superb. The team were professional, punctual, and clearly very skilled. The render turned out to be particularly difficult to remove, which took longer than expected, but they handled it without any fuss and stuck to the original quote. Following my acceptance of very competitive quotes, during July/August 2024 an excellent team, led by Paul, completed a complete re-roofing of my four-bedroom detached house and, replaced the existing Roofline with plastic components, thus ensuring that, no painting of those items will be required for the future. The team were all very caring, professional and from start to finish, provided excellent customer care and were pleasure to have on site. Among other qualities, they meticulously cleared up at the end of each day and, obviously, on completion of the project. Have ever confidence in recommending the team from D and P Roofing, based on a combination of; value for money, excellent workmanship and customer service.

We approached three traders from the Which site and settled on D&P Roofing and Building Ltd. We required roofing felt replacement to the bottom metre of our house both front and back. From our first telephone enquiry to completion of the work, D&P Roofing were excellent. They offered useful advice to inform our decision making regarding what was needed and there was no pressure to agree works. Our calls were returned promptly, keeping in touch by telephone and email, and they kept us apprised of expected time scales (scaffolding was required) and agreed a date for the work. We first approached them at the beginning of November and work was completed by the 27.11.2024. We have nothing but praise, from Chrissy in the office to the roofers and scaffolders. Work was tidy and all debris removed. Everybody we had contact with was polite and courteous. Would definitely use again for other work required at our property.

I don't normally give reviews but in this case it is fully merited. A tile fell off my roof. I emailed on Monday, they inspected on Tuesday, did the work on Wednesday and I paid on Thursday. Very professional and efficient.

After an unexpected leak in the roof of my Victorian terrace property, I contacted D&P for advice. Their response was excellent and in no time at all a member of their team came out to assess the situation. As we expected, it was not good news and the diagnosis was that the annexe roof needed to be totally replaced owing to the water damage to some of the roof trusses and battens. Having approved the quote, the team quickly sprung into action. Scaffolding was erected and this was soon followed by the roofing team arriving on site. The old roof was taken off, timbers replaced, new insulation installed, a waterproof membrane installed and new roof tiles & ridge tiles fitted. All the roofing team were friendly, polite, respectful and adopted a clean-as-you-go policy. Within a week we went from an old roof to a new one and are very happy with the result. I would have no hesitation in recommending D&P building services to anyone. 10/10.

D & P customer service demonstrates a standard of outstanding excellence which is frequently all too lacking these days, in those involved in the house building and maintenance trades. Their people communicate very well, agreeing specifications, forward work plans etc. Followed by frequent updates and progress reports. Nothing is too much trouble. In essence the whole outfit functions as a well-integrated team, inclusive of effective administration and computer systems. As referred to above D&P operates as an integrated effective team dedicated to providing a top-quality service and product. They clear up carefully after themselves, leaving a very pristine environment on completion. In short, a quality assured service from start to finish, reinforced by a 5/10-year product guarantee. The jobs were completed on schedule, to quoted budget with no supplementary charges. The prices quoted were all, in my opinion, very reasonable and, demonstrate good value for money.
