We have used DW Dunn on a number of occasions, most recently to diagnose a high pitched hum in the water system every time hot water was drawn. The MD of DW Dunn, Andy Harper, visited and was able to identify the problem, that the noise is described as "water hammer" and that it would be easily rectified by installing new ball-cocks in the cold water tanks. One of his plumbers, Dan, arrived at the house on the appointed day and the appointed time and completed the work. Dan is an excellent ambassador for the company - efficient, effective, professional, personable with very good interpersonal skills. Once the work had been completed he ensured that when hot water was drawn there was no longer any "high pitched hum". Satisfied customer.

Our oil boiler started to make unusual noises so I asked for a visit from an engineer from our usual servicing company (DW Dunn). Of course the noise went away before he arrived. The engineer (Dan) spent quite a lot pf time diagnosing the problem (I had a recording of the unusual noise). He then fully explained the situation with us and suggested a plan of action. The whole situation was very well and quickly handled by the company.

We had a number of issues to address. kitchen tap needing replacement, lavatories not flushing properly, water softener service, header tank leaking etc. All was put in order with the minimum fuss in just 90 minutes. The plumber was polite and efficient and came in well under budget. He obviously knew his trade - well done indeed.

On first call (for a non urgent look at water softner) their man arrived in half an hour. Exceptional! Recommended a solution to water softner with boiler service and heating system review. Quoted a price. Later that day the rang to confirm date. Arrived on time. 2 very experience guys, very helpful, very knowledgeable and very clean and tidy workers. I have used DW Dunn for ten years. They continue to provide excellent service. I called them yesterday to report a fault on a boiler. It was booked in immediately for a few days later but in the end one of their engineers dropped in on their way back home at the end of the day and did the repair. That shows great service and clearly a good company to work for if their engineers are prepared to go that extra mile at the end of a day.

Outstanding Service fitting a new water softener
We recently moved to the Cotswolds and needed a new water softener as part of our refurb. Andy was punctual and gave us all the information we needed to make the decision to proceed. The team at DW Dunn were exceptional, the preliminary pipework was fitted quickly to enable us to go ahead and fit new flooring, units and decorate etc. they then returned many weeks later to fit the new water softener without any problems at all. The whole team were so accommodating of our needs and we found the entire process stress free due to the efficient service from them. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend them, they were superb.

DW Dunn Ltd provided an amazing service. From calling late on Thursday afternoon with a flood coming through downstairs due to guests over filling the bathtub, they came round first thing on Friday to quickly source the issue and seal the overflow pipe. The team were so polite, efficient and professional - from the office who took my call to the plumber who fixed the leak - they were really friendly and helpful and the price was very reasonable. I can’t recommend them more highly. I will certainly use them again in the future. Fantastic service from a brilliant team.

We’ve used DW Dunn several times and I wouldn’t work with any other plumbing firm now. They’ve done multiple jobs for us; new boiler, radiators, taps etc. They have just done all the plumbing work for our new kitchen and once again they’ve been amazing. The team in the office bent over backwards to work around our moving schedule with unlimited patience. And the team; Dean, Dan, Matt and Kieron did a great job, as they always do. It helps that the team are polite, professional, courteous and love our dogs as much and they love them! They are tidy, trustworthy and work with the minimum of supervision. Very highly recommended.

We use DW Dunn for our boiler annual boiler maintenance. Our old system was over 30 years old still working but seemed the right time to change. Andy came to assess the best options for our size of house and gave us a very detailed quotation for a replacement. We also requested new thermostat valves on the radiators and the whole system drained and flushed through. Andy recommended a Worcester Bosch Greenstar Dansemoor External Combi . The engineers were a great team, led by Dan with Dean,Dan,and Kieran they were all extremely professional,polite and very pleasant to have in our house, nothing was too much trouble. Dan thought through each stage of the installation systematically and explained everything extremely conscientious. The team took great pride in their work. We are delighted with the outcome it’s been in a month since installation,we have a toasty warm house, every room is now very controllable with an efficient external boiler certainly using less oil also very quiet . The invoice came in right on quotation. The App and ease of setting the schedule is very easy. All in all superb thoroughly recommend. Thank you

I had a water softener, water cartridge with three way tap, and an outside tap providing hard water for the garden all installed. The excellent initial survey by Andy provided all the relevant detail necessary for me to make a decision on my requirement and price. I had some installation concerns but Andy made me feel very confident that nothing was too much trouble and the installation would be very straightforward. Dan and Kieran arrived as planned and on time on the installation day and proceeded to carry out a first class job. The end result was very pleasing and very tidy. All rubbish was removed, the appliances put back in situ, and the utility room cleaned. The guys were pleasant and very helpful, taking me through the various water controls etc as well as the reordering process for salt and water cartridge. I was very pleased with the results and great service and would certainly recommend D W Dunn.

During a small refurbishment a workman drilled through the underfloor heating pipe. Dunns were at our property within hours. Obviously with a flagstone floor this repair was going to be a big job, and a very messy job. So we all thought. Dan was very polite and did what he could to help us. He didn’t have the parts he needed so returned to the office to place the order. A few days later he returned with Dean. Words fail me. Dean saw a different way of going about the repair without lifting the floor. Unbearable! But what a Stirling Job. I’ve waited 20 days to do this review I wanted to be 100% sure the pipe was fixed. It is. No water, full boiler pressure and underfloor heating working as it did. Thank you Dan & Dean. Dan gave all the credit to Dean which was a nice thing to do. I’ll never go anywhere else for a plumber. These guys are the BEST. Thank You.

During my boiler service my old boiler was condemned and although DW Dunn looked into repairing it for me it was agreed that this was not going to be a viable option. My new boiler however would not fit into the existing space so it would have to be moved. This then involved a lot of extra work, including getting scaffolding and a roofer. Andy Harper at DW Dunn sorted everything for me, which was amazing, and I was kept informed every step of the way. On the day of the installation, the two heating engineers (Dan and Kieran) were brilliant. They went above and beyond in every way. Their workmanship was excellent, and they respected my property to the very last minute. Everything that was arranged happened exactly on time. Delivery of the boiler, scaffolding, electrician, and roofer. At no point did anything go wrong. The agreed budget was stuck to with no extra costs at the end, and my new boiler is working beautifully. Andy Harper also checked in with me once the work had finished to make sure I was happy with everything. Overall, I could not have been happier.

DWDunn replaced a 17 year-old gas heating boiler with a Worcester Combi. They arrived on time, laid protective floor coverings and worked fast to complete the installation in 2 days. They cleared away all of the old equipment and left my home & garden probably cleaner & neater than before they started the job! The two installers were very knowledgeable and polite. They gave me a complete training on the Hive thermostat and associated phone app. First class service - highly recommended.

The whole operation was very professional with Andy, the manager, visiting promptly and discussing options clearly. We knew what we wanted and had a good understanding of the system. We needed to have our solar hot water system drained and disabled, which may have been outside the experience of some heating engineers. The installation, and work on the solar panel , was done efficiently and with minimal disruption, and the new 28mm pipes that were required were fitted as unobtrusively as possible. I felt that Dan, the engineer, was working to high standards and wanted to satisfy our needs as best he could. We were both impressed with the work and the end product. No mess, good workmanship. Nice people.

We were quoted to fit a water softener in a specific location, to avoid the loss of a kitchen cupboard. Unfortunately, because of problems discovered on the day, it was not possible to install as we had hoped. However, we were given lots of ideas to mull over and eventually went for the obvious one; we installed in the kitchen cupboard. The installer said he would do everything to minimise the loss of cupboard space and true to his word he did exactly that. He repositioned the existing pipework and made more space available as promised. The finished look was the work of a craftsmen who takes pride in his work. He also did various other plumbing jobs around the house we had asked for and once again the finished work was excellent. Take a long bow Dean for work extremely well done! Yes, I would thoroughly recommend this firm based on my personal experience. I hope you enjoy the same service.

I have used DW Dunn several times. Both in emergency leak situations and general plumbing work. The most recent work was to fix a leak a few days before Christmas. They were so helpful, arrived promptly and found fault completed the work very quickly. I really appreciated the attention to detail when clearing up and left no trace. I was quoted for a like-for-like replacement boiler for my oil-fired central heating system in October. I was extremely impressed by the handling of my initial query with everything explained fully before I was given a quote. I had considered postponing until the following spring, but the old unit began leaking. I contacted DW Dunn and although extremely busy, they were able to offer carrying out the work within three weeks due to a cancellation. They arrived promptly on the agreed date and removed the old boiler, before carrying out work to the piping and addressing the issues surrounding my existing flue outlet. The latest regulations required a pipe to be fitted above the gutter level and away from a neighbouring property. All works were carried out by two excellent installation engineers who were hard-working, did a clean and tidy job and were very friendly throughout. The job was completed on time within two working days, on budget and (one month later), the house has a much quieter heating system now. I really am extremely pleased with the work carried out and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company to others. A first-class experience.
