David was very helpful over the phone giving advice on how to find what was making a circuit breaker constantly trip. When I admitted I was beaten and needed a bit of assistance, he came round, found the cause & rectified the problem. I would not have a 2nd thought about recommending David to friends and family, in fact, I've already emailed his details round to our neighbours.

Having recently moved into a new house there is a fair amount of electrical work needed, and despite being extremely busy, David especially made time to carry out the urgent essential work - which he (and Dan) completed to a very high standard. Rather than dispose of a redundant yet serviceable garage light fitting, David re-purposed it for use as loft lighting - a perfect example of recycling, and something I doubt a lot of electricians would have bothered considering. The installation work, which was completed surprisingly quickly, was impressively neat and with obvious attention to detail using quality materials. Equally impressive is David's thorough knowledge of all things electrical. I'd have absolutely no hesitation in recommending David Savery Electrical Services.

David carried out a full house electrical inspection on a property we were selling. We were a few days from exchange when the buyer announced that they wanted the inspection to be carried out. He was recommended by another electrician that couldn't help us. Fortunately David was able to squeeze us in later the same week. There were a few minor issues flagged but David worked with us to find a swift economic solution. All the while he was aware of our desperate situation, not wanting the sale to fall through. There was every opportunity for David to exploit this situation but he did quite the opposite. The service provided was excellent, helping us out of a difficult situation and when the invoice arrived we were delighted. I'm really not sure that every trader would have acted the same way, in fact I have some previous experience of prices being inflated when the trader realises that you're in a bind. I cannot recommend DSES.UK enough. I am very confident that David would deliver the same great service and competitive pricing for anyone choosing his services. David was able to fit me in at relatively short notice. He messaged to let me know they were on their way. They wore protective overshoes to keep the carpets clean. They identified all the issues and kept me informed and involved throughout the process. They were swift but thorough and gave helpful advice on terms of good usage. They tidied up well. Dave and Nigel have just carried out an electrical installation condition report at my house. I used to work as an electrician so it was clear to me that they really know their stuff. They were polite and easy to have around the house, punctual and hard working. They uncovered a few faults during the inspection and spent the time to find, fix or agree a solution with me along the way rather that just present me with a list of extra work needed at the end. If you are going to get an EICR done then get it done properly by these two.

My elderly mother needed an electrician to fix her electric hot water tank and I needed someone patient and trustworthy. I would totally recommend David. He was very polite, reliable and took care not to cause any damage to the existing fittings, which are rather fragile due to their age. He ensured the tank was working safely and went out of his way to be helpful and fit the job in.

I’ve used David Savery Electrical a few times in the past and I was prepared to wait for him which wasn’t very long. He gives good advice when wanted and is not pushy or intrusive. On this occasion he fitted uplighting in my garden and went to great lengths to reduce it to 12volt for extra safely. I was very impressed with his work ethic as his final invoice was lower than the quote. This was due to the better quality lights that I bought thereby avoided more technical work when fitting.

David fitted us into his busy schedule to replace a malfunctioning heater and room thermostat. He was thorough and persistent when checking the function and safety of the installation. He was mindful of our home environment, wearing shoe covers to protect floors and carpets. we have recently moved into a new property and needed the electrics checking out. We found Dave by word of mouth, he came highly recommended. Dave responded promptly to my text and made an appointment at my convenience to come and check out the work. He was prompt and arrived exactly when he said on all occasions He spent over an hour checking out the place then came back to do a full survey on the main house and the outbuildings. He pointed out all the problems and explained them fully and went through all the options to rectify the problems . He then wrote everything up in a full report in layman's English so that I could understand as well as sending the official report. His charges are very reasonable and we are going to proceed with further works with him . He is also very clean and tidy. He and his team wore foot protectors whilst in the house and cleaned up after themselves

I have used DSES on many occasions over the last few years, on this occasion to conduct an EICR on a rental flat following a suspicious test commissioned by letting agents. David completed all electrical works for a new kitchen installation, including wiring for new appliances, moving and adding plug sockets and a new LED kitchen light unit. From first advice on requirements to completion of the work, David's customer service and professionalism was superb and quality of work outstanding. Definitely recommended.

This was the first time we've used this supplier, found by word of mouth recommendation. Scope of work involved fixing 2 non-functioning sockets, installing new roof downlights to replace old system, fixing under-cupboard lighting, fixing wall lights and installing remote control of block of downlights. All done in an afternoon quickly and professionally. Work was carried out to quotation and area was hoovered afterwards. Not only were all the requested concerns addressed but advice and an ideal solution for the remote access were provided. We are very pleased with the supplied items, the quality of workmanship and the total service provided, including value for money. We are happy to recommend this supplier.

David & Nigel installed 17 spotlights in our basement flat which we are refurbishing. Friendly, helpful, trustworthy & professional - they were a joy to deal with. Our RHD Trip kept tripping resulting in loss of phone, TV, broadband and microwave plus all sockets in our house and garage. Invariably after about 20 minutes the trip was able to be switched on again, and we would laboriously go round putting equipment back on: not a relaxing task for an aged ignoramus like myself. We tried various options suggested by a well-meaning friend (eg switching off our outside pond waterfall pump, radiogram etc) all to no avail. We did not know what to do and had no knowledge about electricians. A friend who had used David Savery strongly recommended him. He slotted us in a few days after our call. He (and Nigel) arrived promptly, and within less than 20 minutes had diagnosed the problem (primarily the computer mains lead cable plus the surge protected extension). They went away and obtained replacements, fitting them and all was well: much to our relief and joy! We did not ask about the cost as we are so trusting, and were so desperate, but on receiving our bill were pleasantly surprised at its reasonableness Both David and Nigel were courteous, friendly, jovial and explained things so even I could understand. We were told to ring back if any problems.

David Savery has done jobs for myself and for friends. Without exception he has been prompt, thorough, effective and carried out the work to the highest standard. Most recently, we had a fault late in the afternoon affecting everything in our kitchen. Despite being outside usual working hours David came within an hour, worked hard to trace the fault, restored power to essential items such as freezer and made everything safe overnight. He made time the next day to complete the work and restore the remaining sockets. I couldn't have asked for better service in a crisis. I feel lucky to have found a craftsman so skilled and so customer-oriented and am very happy to recommend him 100%.

We arranged with David to carry out a check on the electric circuit in our house.He and his assistant checked every light and double-checked every power socket in a highly efficient and professional way and we received the full report later the same day. David went to extra effort to fit a full rewire in a Grade II listed building into our schedule. He shifted work around to make sure he hit the deadline. He was flexible and sensitive to the specifics of this job, using some ingenuity to avoid causing harm to heritage fabric. His quote was better than others, and was almost identical to the final price, in fact the final price was slightly less. Throughout the work, his communication was impeccable, via email, text and his online tracking service, we would receive a daily update on progress and plans. As David tests as he goes along, and keeps it all on his system, he was able to produce the Certificate of Compliance the same evening that the work was completed. I have no hesitation to recommend DSES to anyone, and have don so on a number of occasions.

We contacted David when our regular electrician was away for an extended period of time. He and Nigel completed a couple of relatively small jobs, the installation of an under floor fan and modifications to an external lighting circuit. They were able to slot in with other trades on site and not only completed the work to a high standard but also revisited site the following day after a late evening phone call when it was discovered that, through no fault of theirs, the work required modifying. Our management committee were very impressed with the time and effort that had clearly gone into preparing the Estimate and Scope of Works which we received before formally instructing them to progress with the works.

I've used David a few times for electrical jobs. On this occasion I rang him in the early afternoon one Monday to ask him to look at a couple of extractor fans that had failed. He came round within 10 minutes and assessed the job; came back within the hour, replaced the two defective fans with new ones which work perfectly. He's thoroughly professional and totally reliable.
