Dave did a rewire which included replacing sockets and ceiling fittings and also fitted radiators/heaters and shower. Dave arrived promptly, minimised the damage to the walls and cleaned as he went along. Dave explained matters well and came up with ideas. He is very helpful, friendly and reliable.

The electrician was polite, cheerful and efficient. The job involved fitting a new consumer unit with split load RCD, preparing an electrical condition report and fitting a cooker hood/extractor fan. All of the work was carried out on time and on budget. Prior to quoting for the work a full explanation, in layman's terms, was given and several options explained. The job was undertaken with minimal disruption and the work area was left in a very clean and tidy state.

Checked the whole house from top to bottom electric sockets, lights etc., made sure we would be safe for the future as well as adding new sockets in the conservatory and kitchen, replaced the circuit board. Very good work indeed and it did not seem to take too long a day and a half for all he did.

Found the socket for the washing machine in what was the'granny flat' was faulty. Used 'Which' Trusted Traders for the first time and chose 'Day & Knight' as they were relatively near. Due to pressure of work, Dave Knight couldn't attend for a week. Arrived promptly at appointment time. Initial task was to change the socket box and the moulded plug on the washing machine. A full inspection of the electrical systems for the house was then carried out. A number of faults were ascertained and remedied. The consumer unit was clearly re-labelled and a plan of which sockets, lights etc related to with RCD. The work was very thorough and efficiently carried out Time taken approx. 4 hours. I have no hesitation in stating that this firm would be our 'go to' firm for all future electrical work we may require.

After having David do work previously and was so pleased rang him again to replace light fitting in one of the rooms. As my previous review he turned up promptly done an amazing job, very friendly, tidy, polite. Also got rid of my old fittings and was also very helpful and gave some very good advise on further light fittings. Once again I was so impressed with the service and cannot recommend him enough. Had consumer unit changed, also new bathroom lights fitted, sockets, new alarm battery and safety box. From the very first visit I found David to be very polite, the quote was reasonable even though he did extra work for me. The work was to a very high standard, he explained things along the way he is an absolute gent. Having for many years been ripped off by traders it was nice to have a good honest professional trader who takes his work seriously, he was very helpful as well my home is now the safest it has ever been thanks to David. I would highly recommend David, you will not be disappointed. He also fitted new smoke alarms for me which was an extra job for him, nothing is any trouble for him. It's nice to know there are still decent honest traders out there. Thanks again David for all the work and the extra at short notice, will be using you again soon.

David tested our electrics, fitted LED down-lights, installed a new fuse board, moved/removed sockets and installed a nest camera for us. From quote to completion David has proven to be an excellent electrician. On all visits he arrived early and finished the works to a high standard. Dave came to install a new plug socket and a smart doorbell. He was on time (actually 15 mins early which is great as you do sometimes wonder whether people are going to turn up sometimes!) and he was very friendly and personable- it was actually a pleasure to chat to him and have him working in my home. He was prepared, carried out the work efficiently and effectively and checked that everything was working and most importantly safe before leaving. He also cleaned up and was respectful. Very professional experience and fantastic service. Would highly recommend and will definitely use again when I need any electrical work doing. Also reasonably priced. Thank you!

From complete rewires to replacement fuse boards or quick, 10-minute jobs, David is your man. He has done other work for us in the past and we have been very happy with his work but he came to our rescue quickly today after a faulty extension lead took out power to the whole house. Thankfully the RCD on the fuse board he fitted a few years ago did its job and meant the only damage was a slightly melted plug and a damaged socket. Both were quickly replaced and power restored. I have no hesitation in recommending David. He is a complete professional and very trustworthy. A great job done again at a fair price!

I phoned them to ask if they could install a security light. When we were discussing the details, he asked me if I had thought about a battery operated light and he gave me the details of where I could get one. I said he was doing himself out of a job, but he said he liked to tell customers all the options. He has now been put on list for any future work and an excellent review from me.

Having used Day and Knight before I was very impressed with the service and quality of work done. Once again Dave has excelled all expectations in installing downlights. Day and Knight went above and beyond in customer service and a quality delivered by a professional for a great price. Many electricians will charge the earth and rip out your floorboards to install these lights but Dave’s skill and talents made this unnecessary which saves a fortune in carpenters afterward. Top quality and after using Day and Knight twice, I wouldn’t go anywhere else and I’m a difficult person to impress. Well done! Very highly recommended.

It was easy to arrange the work date. David arrived on time and replaced 8 ceiling lights with LEDS, fixed a light switch. The price was agreed beforehand and quotes were supplied on request for free. The work completed to an excellent standard. Extra parts that were needed were delivered the same day and David returned the same day to fix it. I would recommend this company to anyone.

Dave fitted us some lights and sockets. They look amazing and he was so friendly and professional. He also did a electrical check and explained clearly what it all meant. Whilst doing the check he noticed a gas leak and arranged for it to be sorted and fixed the same day. Really happy thank you Dave and your father-in-law (the gas leak fixer).

The lights in my parents bathroom weren't working so I contacted Dave to arrange for him to come out and repair them. It wasn't a big job but my parents are elderly so it's very important to me that they use someone that they feel comfortable with and that I trust implicitly. Dave turned up on time and mum was really impressed that he automatically put on boot covers, a huge plus point especially as my parents have cream carpets! Dave was polite, friendly and he quickly fixed the problem and ensured that the place was clean and tidy before he left. I first met Dave when my builder brought him in to do the electrical work for our garage conversion. The builder uses him because he turns up on time, does an excellent job at a reasonable price, cleans up after himself and he plays nice with others! Dave has done a number of electrical jobs for me over the last couple of years, he is the person I call if I need something, and I have always been impressed with him as an individual and the quality of his work.
