Carl and Dave arrived on time having sent me a message a couple of hours earlier to confirm. Two extremely nice people who explained how they would try to identify the problem and then how they would solve it having found it! They explained that there was a possibility they would damage a floor tile and that I would have to get that replaced. I had understood that from my initial telephone call with them. In fact they identified the problem and were able to repair it with only a small amount of tile damage which was covered by the plinth anyway. Carl explained exactly what he was doing and also set up the thermostat/timer for me. Altogether a great outcome and I would definitely recommend them!

The engineer was polite and friendly. He clearly explained what he would do and located a fault, removed the tile and repaired the fault. He continued the assessment and found another fault under the bath where there was no tile and repaired that. He gave me the thermal camera to show me the underfloor heating was now working properly. He prepared the area where the tile needs replacing and tidied up. They don’t replace the tile. He sent an email to me and copied in the company who will replace the tile. Excellent service.

Although I myself am in the building trade, I didn't think this type of company existed. I assumed an entire floor would have to be dug up if the under floor heating cable had a hidden break in it. This is where Dave and Carl provided the much cheaper option of locating the exact position of the break thus keeping a small excavation and repair to a confined area. They were both extremely knowledgeable and professional and, using the latest technology, proved they were masters of their trade. We had DC technical solutions visit to repair undertile heating that had stopped working 2 years prior. Prior we tried 2 separate experienced electricians & 1 heating engineer who had not been able to fix it. All had suggested getting a new thermostat which luckily we didn’t bother with as Carl located the fault to actually be a failed element joint. The old thermostat is working fine and Carl has reinstated it. The cost does feel expensive at first but considering other electricians could not repair and work out what was wrong this company are clearly very highly skilled and worth the money. They also seemed very happy to offer free advice over the phone prior to booking & suggest steps to try first to see if a “standard” electrician may be enough before you get them in. They worked diligently and respectfully, keeping us informed and involved at each point of decision making. They did not pressure us at any stage. Costs were well explained at each stage. We are very grateful to their perseverance to locate and repair the fault on underfloor heating we had otherwise given up on. 2 tiles were removed cleanly (& we subsequently organised a local tiler to refit). Mess was minimal and they were respectful to property and fully cleaned up. They also looked at two other unrelated thermostats in the property and replaced (at my request) due to signs of overheating. All work was done with a “no problem” attitude. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

Dealing with this company has been a delight. David was most helpful from first contact. The work was carried out exactly as it was carefully explained to me verbally and in writing, in advance. David and Carl took great care in the repairing of my broken bathroom underfloor heating. Their approach is kind, friendly and professional. It was a pleasure to watch their working collaboration. Using a thermal imaging camera. they traced the cause of the fault, which was located along the heating cable length where evidence of damage was seen, under the tiled flooring, along the grout line at two points. Carl took great care in removing the tiles to reach the damaged cable. A single repair joint was made off to eliminate both points of damage near a loop. They decided this was the best choice bearing in mind the foot fall on the bathroom floor. They left me with both verbal and written instructions as to when the heating can be turned on again. David gave me a lesson in how to programme the controls. He demonstrated this, and then he got me to do it for myself, with his help. I am most impressed with them and pleased to have my bathroom underfloor heating working for the first time.

These guys really know their stuff! Arrived on time and very quickly traced the fault. Took up the screed and repaired the cable. This was in an awkward area in a gym. They moved everything and put it back without any sort of quibble. DC Technical Solutions were extremely efficient in fixing an issue with our under floor heating. The repair itself was sorted within approx 1 hour, they talked me through how the issue was caused & how to ensure it doesn't happen again, aswell as making sure I was happy that all was in working order before they left the house. There was minimal damage caused to our flooring, & the area was left extremely clean & tidy ready for the floor repair. The visit was also followed up with a very informative email as to what the issue was & what needs to be done before the heating system can be switched back on, including pictures of the full process. I requested a visit for a faulty underfloor heating system. This was arranged efficiently and with good communication right up to arrival. We have been putting off getting an engineer out for 10 years because of concerns of damage to many tiles and maybe not being able to find the error (and therefore not getting it repaired). My under floor heating has not been working for some time, but we have had two company’s look at it ( but did not seem to know what to do). However, today two guys arrived from DC technical solutions Ltd at the arranged time and within the first few minutes we felt in safe hands. Both were extremely professional both in attitude and to the job. They communicated to us through the whole job and were professional, skillful and competent throughout. We have now had DC Technical Solutions repair 2 separate faults in our bathroom floor (due to a poor installation job by the builders 5 years ago) and on both occasions, they have expertly located the fault and, very fortunately for us, been able to repair the connection without destroying any of the tiles. They are efficient, responsive, utterly reliable and very skilled and, as far as I am aware, the only company able to undertake this work in Edinburgh. I cannot recommend them too highly

Did not know underfloor heat mats could be repaired, especially with a tiled floor. However online searches showed that it was not only possible to locate a fault, but also repair with a ‘repair section’ with a minimum of disruption. Further online searches put me in touch with Carl of DC Technical Solutions (UK) Ltd, who provided a fixed price for the repair, which included: Locate fault(s) Lift tile(s) to expose fault Make repair Test repair Reinstatement of tiling is down to householder, but I think that is pretty obvious. I was happy to go ahead with the repair and a date arranged. Just to be clear, DC Technical Solutions cover the U.K, so so you cannot expect them to turn up just like that, so a wait of a few weeks maybe required, to allow them to book several jobs in the same area to make it cost effective, which I believe is very reasonable. Carl turned up with his partner Dave, who, despite just having a long journey after an early start, were keen to get on with the job. I admit to being sceptical about fault location under a tiled flooring, but Carl, using specialised equipment was able to quickly pinpoint fault. Tile was lifted and repair conducted. I was kept fully advised of what was going on and how the job would proceed. After the repair I was shown cause of fault and shown post repair tests and functionality. I have to remark on how clean Carl and Dave worked and left the site. Very pleased with their work and happy with cost.

DC Technical Solutions were referred to me by a close friend who knew we had been having major issues with our electric underfloor heating in our kitchen diner. Other specialist companies had previously inspected it and said that it was “beyond economical repair” so we were faced with deciding whether to rip up our Amtico floor and the heating system and start again or install radiators. Carl from DC Technical Solutions responded to my call straight away and could not have been more helpful or reassuring stating that it’s very rare they can’t find a solution. Within less than one hour of arriving on site they had identified the problem areas which were largely due to the wire connections under the floor being damaged in 3 out of the 6 zones. Amtico flooring was removed as carefully as possible but was always going to need replacement. The affected areas were neatly exposed and the joints repaired very professionally. Carl and Dave were the consummate professionals throughout, with regular communication to me at every stage to explain what they had found and how they proposed to repair it. Within 4 hours we had a system working to 100% capacity in all 6 zones. Carl and Dave tidied up after themselves at every stage and left the kitchen immaculate. I cannot recommend DC Technical Solutions highly enough. This is a specialist discipline and it is very hard to find experts like this who were considerate and friendly throughout.

I had a problem with the underfloor heating in my new flat. I couldn't find anyone in Bristol to look at it and so got in touch with DC Technical Solutions, after a recommendation from another tenant. Although there was a long wait for them to come, they kept in touch and turned up on time. They were thorough, knowledgeable and efficient. They explained the system to me clearly and went through every room with me, checking each sensor etc was working. Although the bill was considerable, I knew what to expect as they had let me know in advance. They had to travel a considerable distance and stay overnight. They checked everything and fixed the initial problem, as well as fixing a thermostat which would have failed in the near future. I now know much more about the system and it is working perfectly.

From initial contact to the engineer visit DC Technical Solns got the balance exactly right. Swift response to my original requests and desire to see if my they could repair my underfloor heating - and essential element to heating our bathroom. They were clear on their technical approach and costs - transparent, helpful and responsive. They coordinated with me to find the right date and time and kept me up to date with their expected arrival time (to match my own availability) including contacting me ahead of arrival to check. The engineer found the fault quickly and efficiently - looking to minimise any disruption and damage to existing installations - explaining everything along the way and even talking me through some of the technical aspects (I like that sort of thing). The fault was repaired - and then the engineer went above and beyond, covering with tile adhesive to add protection (this is not part of the agreed work) including where the original installers had cut corners and left element exposed. I was shown the working floor visually on the FLIR (heat scanner) and all the electrics were checked even back to the RCD on the consumer unit (again above and beyond expectations) Friendly, helpful, responsive and most of all - highly effective and value for money. My underfloor heating failed and I thought I might have to excavate the floor and re-do the whole thing. Dave and his colleague found the fault straight away, removed the tile and repaired it. Originally had an arranged date of 26/11/21 to look at our underfloor heating issue. Was very surprised when Dave called to say they could come earlier if convenient and a new date of 08/11 was arranged. I was contacted by Dave in the morning to confirm we were still okay for him to call and he gave an ETA which was really good. Dave was very polite and explained everything he would be doing to find the fault and repair. The overall cost is a bit expensive but this is a specialised market with not much competition. If only they could replace the tile they had to remove it would have saved me 3 weeks of trying to find a tiller. Ended up replacing it myself. We had a bathroom underfloor heating failure. I had no expectations that it was fixable! This excellent duo set up their diagnostic equipment, rather like a physics lab! The fault was located with precision and was expertly fixed without any residual mess at a later appointment. It is no surprise that they are in demand for this niche work. This floor was installed a year ago, and even after calling in a 2nd fitter, I had not been able to operate it. Desperate now with a second winter starting, I called ProDigital the floor supplier, who recommended DC Technical. They were not local, but I had to take a chance, and did I get it right! They arrived as promised, to the minute, tested the installation, and there were no problems with the installation. But they did find a wiring issue with the control panel, soon rectified, then set about programming it to my requirements. They then demonstrated to me the numerous options available, with a final few words, "Just call us if you have any problems!" DC Technical Solutions came to repair the electric underfloor heating in my bathroom. I had tried two previous firms who promised me they could fix it but failed, charging me a lot of money in the process. As soon as Dave and Carl started work it was very obvious that they knew exactly what they were doing and it was not long before they had found the fault. Dave was able to explain to me exactly what the fault was and why it had occurred (poor installation work by the person who had previously done my bathroom). This gave me a lot of confidence in their abilities. It wasn't long before they had repaired it. They very deftly removed one of the floor tiles and made the very minimum of mess. Once repaired I was able to see an infrared image of the underfloor heating working properly. As you can gather, Dave has some very sophisticated equipment. When Dave told me how much the work would cost I initially thought that it seemed rather expensive, but having seen just how professional the firm is I have no doubt in saying that it was worth every penny. Added to this Dave and Carl are both very nice people. Living in London it is very difficult to find reliable firms such as this one and my experience with DC Technical Solutions left me in a good mood for the rest of the day.

Dave and Carl came to repair a damaged electric underfloor heating system. They arrived exactly on time, were friendly, courteous and professional. They explained exactly how the repair would be carried out and answered all of my questions and concerns. The level of care and attention to detail was clear as they carried out the repair and verified the system afterwards. I am confident that the workmanship is of a high standard. They also went the 'extra mile' by locating and then drawing the positions of the sections of the heating element that could not be seen onto the concrete base so that the tiler would be able to avoid damaging them again when the old tile adhesive was removed. After struggling to get any local electrician to find the fault in our UFH I contacted DC Technical Solutions. They were efficient ,clear and prompt in the email communication ,set an appointment in 2 weeks and travelled 280 miles to sort out the problem. Dave and Carl were knowledgeable professionals, located the fault, removed one tile, demonstrated the fault, fixed it and showed that the heating system was fully functioning again, advised us on fixing the tile back on prior normal use. Both of our underfloor heating mats needed attention. The first impressions were very good. A wealth of experience, clear and regular, communications and they arrived bang on time. The first problem turned out to be a simple wall thermostat replacement but the bathroom was indeed a faulty mat. Using thermal imaging the fault was quickly identified. I was given a couple of options on how they could undertake the fix and then the work was carried out very professionally and quickly. From first making contact to completion of work, Dave and his colleague were the epitome of professionalism. Arriving as scheduled and asking if I'd like them to remove their shoes as they entered the property (a respectful request not often encountered with many trades people), they diagnosed the problem with our underfloor heating in minutes, explaining each step of the process clearly along the way. The issue could have meant the replacing of the entire system, but, thinking creatively, Dave suggested a sensible solution to the problem that avoided significant cost and disruption. My underfloor heating was broken. I had a few discussions with Dave and he fully explained the process and procedure. The lead in time for visit was very short (about a month) given they were coming from Manchester and needed other jobs scheduled in in the south west area. They were polite, prompt and efficient. Good communication in the lead up to the appointment and the problem resolved. I thought I would never have the system working, so I’m a very happy customer!!

My electric underfloor heating broke and I did think that was the end of it. A friend then recommended D.C. solutions and within 5 days they were here and, quite literally, worked their magic. They have some very impressive kit and within minutes they had identified the fault and set about fixing it. Within an hour they had finished, cleaned up and left everything working. Our new underfloor heating was damaged by a builder. I contacted DC Solutions and we had a very helpful discussion of the nature of the damage and how they would fix it. A visit was arranged promptly. Two technicians arrived as arranged, fully equipped and masked. They repaired 5 severed cables quickly, neatly and with minimal mess. They tested the system and demonstrated the successful repair by means of their infra-red camera. I was very impressed by their efficiency, visibly high-quality workmanship and willingness to explain what they were doing. I consider the charge for the work very reasonable, particularly relative to the potential cost of replacing the system. Altogether an extremely good service.

We had had an ensuite fitted with an electric underfloor heating mat and then tiled. As it turned out the tiler had somehow manage to cut through 5 of the heating mat elements and so we were left with a beautiful ensuite but no heated floor. Carl came with some very clever equipment, found all the faults, broke out the tiles without further damaging the matting. He then fixed the mat, proved that it worked. He worked very cleanly (considering he was breaking out tiles) as he used a vacuum cleaner to capture the dust. Can definitely recommend if you have a heated floor that isn't working.

Friendly, efficient and cost effective service. Our electric underfloor heating had stopped working after nearly 10 years of faithful service. It was underneath a tiled floor, so we were fearing the worst - that the whole floor would have to taken up, the heat mat replaced and new tiling throughout. Dave and Carl arrived and although they were unable to use the thermal camera to locate the fault due to the nature of the malfunction, their expertise enabled them to still identify the cause. A full and complete repair then undertaken with just a single tile needing to be replaced. Fantastic service that I wouldn't hesitate to use again should the need ever arise. Highly recommended.

Electric underfloor heating stopped working 13 years after installation. My original builder recommended DC Technical Solutions. Because they offer a national service they group jobs together by geographical area so had to wait a few weeks between booking the job and arrival - this wasn't a problem for me. Arrived on agreed date. Identified fault and fixed. They left the area clean and tidy and advised how the tile repair should be done (they don't do this for you but it clearly states that on their website). Dave and Carl both very polite and considerate tradesmen. Would highly recommend this service and worth the £360.

My husband and I have had 6 months without our underfloor heating, bringing in various local contractors to have a look to see if they could fix it, given it was only installed three years earlier. In fact, we wasted hundreds of pounds trying to find someone to get to the bottom of the fault. We contacted Prowarm to seek their advice and they swiftly sent me their recommendations. We rang DC Technical Solutions (UK) Ltd. I spoke to David and he was very helpful, explaining how they work and also the costs involved. A date was arranged as well as a price agreed upon for the repair. After only a few minutes they had identified the fault, informed me what needed to be done. Half a tile had to be removed (not the whole floor as suggested by another company) and an explanation as to why the problem had occurred given (Manufacturer’s cold lead (start) joint failed due to incorrect installation). They truly went the extra mile ensuring the bathroom was left clean and that a final check of the underfloor heating was carried out, so we could see how the heat moved under the tiles. We checked how much was owed and was delighted to find, it was the figure quoted. We thanked David and Carl for a job well done. Should anyone be anxious about what was once thought to be an impossible repair, with the whole flooring and tiles requiring replacement, do not worry because these two men are totally trustworthy, competent, and confident individuals who exceeded our expectations.

Carl and Dave came to repair our underfloor heating. Communication was excellent throughout - very responsive and clear. The guys turned up exactly when they said they would, without us having to wait too long before the initial contact. They were efficient and friendly and located the issue very quickly. A floor tile was sacrificed in the repair process, but they had warned us that this would be the case right from the beginning. The fault was duly diagnosed and fixed, and they left everything perfectly clean and tidy. These guys know what they are doing, and they do an excellent job. I would definitely recommend them.

Excellent service from a very professional couple Carl and Dave. Used very high tech equipment to identify the first fault, remove the tile and thereafter identify and repair another 2 faults, replace the sensor and install new wifi programmer, thereafter clearing up all the mess of broken bits of tile. Were in the house a total of 4 hours and continued working until 21.45 hrs when work was completed to a very high standard, would not hesitate to recommend. Thank you

I'm not sure how to describe the feeling of relief to have our kitchen floor working again... I was terrified that we would have to dig big holes in the floor or take the whole lot up to fix the electric underfloor heating but Dave and Carl came to the rescue. They were professional, explained every step they were taking to identify the fault, what they thought was the best course of action to remedy the problem and then delicately but efficiently removed a small section of tile, repaired the fault and left our kitchen cleaner than they found it! That was yesterday at 3.30pm and they were done by 5pm... A tiler will be back today to make good the very small hole created. In terms of value, a few hundred pounds to fix a problem like that, it is the best money I have ever spent. I thought it was too good to be true but these guys are honest and hard working and I cannot thank them enough. Highly recommended.

The problem was far more complicated than the average repair underfloor, but was dealt with thoroughly and rapidly. Minimal damage was caused and the job left spotlessly clean. Carl arrived on time having confirmed an hour before. Located the problem quickly removed floor tile and insulation straight into a waste bad. Component fixed and all left ready for tile replacement in better order than the original fitter. All done and dusted with 1 hour 15 mins. Recommended!
