Deben Shutters

Bryan at Deben Shutters has helped us extensively in recent months following our move (September 2023) into a new build house. We chose blinds over shutters. Bryan measured, ordered, delivered and fitted them to every window, over 2 or 3 months. They included an electric blind (rechargeable battery within headrail) as well as top down/bottom up blinds to a pair of French doors. Given our house was a new build Bryan used his skills to do further work for us at our request. Nothing appeared too much trouble or bother. His advice was invaluable and almost always exactly correct. He assembled and fitted wardrobes and various of our new purchases to an excellent standard Our relationship with Bryan was solid and dependable. He did what he promised. Bryan kept to agreed dates and time without fail, carried out all work faultlessly, rectifying small snagging items promptly, He always invoiced as agreed and we paid promptly. Deben shutters was recommended to us by a new neighbour and we are highly delighted to have worked with the company. We have already agreed with Bryan the next series of additions to our new house; shelving out larder cupboard and various other fitments. It is a blessing to have found an excellent tradesperson who can turn his skills to almost any allied task and produce high quality work, exactly as agreed. He has never agreed work he feels beyond his capability or brief eg: electrics. I have a disability that is progressive with age and Bryan's input has been greatly valued by us. Without him we could not have achieved even half he has done for us in the timescale. Always exactly as agreed, to an excellent standard and always knowing that we will not be disappointed in the result Deben Shutters has an excellent reputation locally for high quality work at a very reasonable price. Fitting of window and patio door shutters to a new build house we purchased. Prices were available from the developer's sales hub. We were kept fully informed about the delivery and installation timescales as the window shutters were installed first, followed by the patio door shutters (the lead times on these was longer) Deben shutters were punctual, treated our home and shutters with care and cleaned away all packaging etc. from the installation. Queries were answered swiftly and in detail. A pleasure to do business with and would not hesitate to use again in the future.

Bryan Ashford, Deben Traders, fitted our shutters in January 22. We had purchased a new property and he was thorough in the type of shutters available. He listened to our budget and the requirements of the property, explaining the pros and cons in a language we understood. It was good to hear he sourced GB materials. We had problems with a completion date and Bryan was patient and understanding. He fitted the shutters between our exchange and completion dates, with one of the days being a Sunday, in order for us to move in. He ensured his work was completed prior to the fitting of carpets so we did not have any further 'making do' once we were in the property. Furthermore he didn't hesitate to come back and put right some minor defects at no charge even after two years. We are looking to move this year and will have no hesitation whatsoever in contacting Bryan and Deben shutters to fit our shutters.
