Ordered two recliners and they were delivered and assembled without fuss and at the time advised. The old chairs were removed at the same time. Very pleased with the service.

We wanted new cushions and seat pads for our cherished sofa and went to Dee Cee upholstery for these. On visiting the store the service we got was fantastic and after discussion and advice from the lady in the store we ordered the cushion interiors and they were going to rewrap and change wadding on seat pads as the foam was okay. This was all arranged quickly and efficiently and we arranged to drop covers off so they could put them on the new interiors and the seat pads for us. They asked us to call back the following week to pick up the cushions and pads. During the week we damaged one off the seat pad covers in our washing machine so we called into Dee Cee and they said this was no problem and would put new matching materiel on seat pad and all would be available to collect as arranged within a few days. We called to collect on the Thursday and all was done as promised with new cushions and rewrapped, repaired seat pads which matched perfectly with our sofa. I would highly recommend Dee Cee upholstery for their great service and expertise.

Having just had my wing chair reupholstered I asked Dee Cee to recover a stool to match the chair. Once again they did an excellent job the chair and stool matching one another perfectly.

I recently left a review for work carried out by Derek and his team to re-upholster our office chair and our 3 piece sweet cushions and supply a new mattress for the sofa bed. So outstanding was the work that we decided to get our oak dining room chairs re-upholstered too. We picked them up today. First class work again and carried out very quickly. Even though the pattern of the hard-wearing covers was not critical for placement matching on each chair, Derek matched placement for all of the cushions for our chairs and they look stunning in our dining room … Derek also treated the cloth with a product to protect against soiling … an extra bonus … thank you for restoring our furniture … if it’s real craftwork you need and at a reasonable price, look no further … brilliant!

We had a sofa bed and two armchairs that needed new seating cushions plus a new mattress for the sofa bed. Also an office swivel chair that needed reupholstering. All the pieces were of good frame quality. Derek was very knowledgeable and clearly took great pride in his work having received numerous awards. Nevertheless Derek was approachable and gave us reasonable quotes. We also visited his shop in Southampton to chose the material for the work. The work was carried out in a reasonable period of time and was delivered to us today. Amazing! The old office swivel chair is now as new having been re-padded and covered to a very high quality. The mattress fits perfectly and is very supportive and comfortable with a zip fasening to enable removal of the cover for laundering … great thinking. All of the seating cushions have been meticulously re-padded and covered so that the lines on the tartan cloth we chose are coordinated and match perfectly at the edges etc. … superb craftmanship. We would thoroughly recommend Dee Cee Upholstery for providing a very high standard of care and attention and at a reasonable price … it is very hard to find, these days, small business tradesmen who take great pride in applying their expertese and skill in restoring furniture to its former glory but Derek is one of them. Very efficient: the chair was picked up on the day that I approached the company and it delivered back repaired a few days later. It was minimal effort from my side and the price was in the region that i expected.

I required upholstery foam to make extra cushions for my dinning room chairs. Karen was very helpful and patient in enabling me to choose the depth of foam required and her colleague was meticulous in creating a template for the carvers, a particularly difficult task due to the placement of the arm supports. The finished articles were completed on the date specified and were well executed. The service was professional, yet friendly. I would clarify my comment on value to say that I did not seek alternative quotes but can confirm that I was happy with the cost.

Derek has done an amazing job reupholstering our vintage three piece suite. It is a complicated curved design with button backs, piping and studs which now looks stunning. Derek and Karen were both very helpful throughout. We were able to borrow samples to decide on colours and the suite was both collected and delivered - not an easy job either given the size of the four seater sofa, so kudos to all the DeeCee staff.

Excepted quotation for the arm rest to be stripped down and upgraded to a better quality foam. The Sofa seat; which was not straight forward stripped down with new materials, and upgraded foam for a firmer seat. This probably was one of those annoying small jobs ,but Dee Cee were more than up for the challenge, and happy to do the job. I was given the quotation which was more than expected, but in life you get what you pay for, and looking into the back ground of Dee Cee, felt it was money well spent. We collected my part Sofa today after being informed the work was complete and ready for collection. Absolutely spot on workmanship, and service, with, "Honesty", as the repair didn't take as long as first thought. The excepted quotation was then discounted accordingly... We had a Parker Knoll fireside chair which was left to us by an elderly neighbour which had previously been re-upholstered. It was looking tired so we visited Dee Cee to view samples. Derek had previously re-upholstered a foot stool so we chose a co-ordinating fabric. We also had the legs stripped and re- polished, seat cushion and springing replaced. The chair has just returned and the workmanship is first class and the chair is as good as new, pattern matching is perfect. A top quality job.

Dee Cee carried out work re-padding my leather sofa back cushions. He quoted me mid-summer and held his price when I eventually dropped them off to him in October. I could'nt be more pleased with the workmanship and friendly service that I received, and would both recommend, and use them again.

Just had our 6 dining chair seats recovered, so we decided to get them “done” professionally, so knowing Dee Cee was local with parking available, I decided to visit them, from the time I entered the quaint shop I felt at ease, Mr Dee Cee was very friendly and helpful and seemed genuinely interested in making sure that what I chose was right for our particular chairs. I have used this company for many years and it is the first port of call for me. New back cushions were needed for my settee. A different, but equally acceptable (and cheaper method) of upgrading the cushions was suggested and accepted. The work was done quickly and to a high standard. I am delighted with the result.

We have just had six dining room chairs recovered , we thought we would use a small independent local upholsterer they are literally at the bottom of our road . This was the third time we have used Dee Cee Upholstery in the past year. All three pieces of furniture (fireside chair, sofa cushions and footstool) were completed to a very professional standard and we are very happy with the result. I purchased a second-hand sofa to use as extra seating for family "get-togethers". I decided to have it recovered. However, I had chosen an expensive fabric so I phoned Dee Cee’s and explained. Derek offered to pop in on his way home to check the stability of the sofa, and we agreed a date/time. Having reviewed the fabric sample and sofa Derek advised me that the sofa was sturdy enough for the job; that I would not be wasting my money and anticipated a further 25 years use. I received an estimate and paid my deposit. Karen ordered the material. (There was a delay because the fabric company were waiting for the velvet - to add their design to. Due to the ‘hangover’ of ‘Covid delays’ this company went out of business.) Dee Cees offered to return my deposit but I asked them to hold it while I chose another design. At this point, I spent a month in the hospital. My husband rang Dee Cee’s to explain ‘my’ post-Christmas delay and asked them to hold the deposit. I was finally able to settle on a fabric design and I phoned Derek. To make absolutely certain they ordered the correct fabric Derek offered to collect the sample that day. The fabric was more expensive than the original however Dee Cee’s did not increase their estimate and the invoice total remained the same. Karen and Derek have been really helpful and informative. Made advanced bookings to pick up and drop off the sofa, and have always adhered to agreed times.

This is the second time I have used Dee Cee Upholstery, this time it was to have some dining room chairs and conservatory furniture covered. I have to admit , that I was in two minds whether to reupholster or buy new chairs, the costs were similar. However, there is no comparison, my dining room chairs and conservatory furniture now match and have been expertly upholstered, look stunning and I am so pleased with the result. Brought my mother-in-law (88) along to the shop to look at rise and recline chairs. She's purchased one previously from a TV-advertised company's catalogue and the quality of it was appalling – just flimsy and badly made. We were greeted at the door of Dee Cee Upholstery by a smiling and friendly Derek who took the time to show my mother-in-law the chairs and ensure she tried them out. The first choice was an instant hit – a superbly made chair that instantly put her old chair in the shade. She also has a wing-back chair that's 29 years old. She asked Derek if he could reupholster it on the strength of her experience in the shop. She's very pleased with the material and how helpful Derek was. and that chair will be could for another three decades now. I just can't recommend Dee Cee Upholstery enough. Simply brilliant.

Our suite sustained paint damage when remedial work to our lounge was carried out by a firm of Bournemouth decorators who were appointed by our landlord. We chose Dee Cee Upholstery to undertake the reupholstery of our entire suite and were delighted with the outcome. Derek came to my house, I chose a fabric, he gave me a quote, checked the material was in stock and took the two settees away a few days later, leaving me two arm chairs to use in the meantime. We have just had 2 1960's Parker knoll chairs refurbed plus had other sofa/chairs in the past. The PK chairs were upholstered to a very professional standard. The wooden parts of frames were re -stained and polished. The cushions were remade and everything was completed to a high quality with care and detail to attention. We would always trust and recommend this business with their advice, good communication and excellent service. Good selection of material options. The chairs will now last another lifetime! Great to deal with people who really know their trade and craftsmanship. The work was done properly with no shortcuts.

Great friendly service. I had some sofa cushion fillings replaced as a tenant vacated and had disposed of them all. 1 odd shaped one, others regular shaped. Really impressed with turn around, just a few days and reasonable price for the job.

My dog chewed a very visible part of our 4 year old sofa. We emailed to ask if just that piece could be reupholstered. Communication was quick and helpful. I had to order the matching material from Next and it was 8 weeks for delivery. Once I had it , I emailed and they collected my sofa within a week and it was returned within the following week. They reupholstered 2 ancient armchairs which were much loved by my late husband. From the first visit to the final delivery, nothing was too much trouble. The ‘new’ chairs are outstanding and will certainly last and be admired for many years to come. We bought a very comfortable fireside chair secondhand which was showing its age. We took the chair in for an estimate and Mr Caplen was very helpful suggesting what type of material would suit the chair. The work was completed in about 3 weeks and we are extremely pleased with the finished results. Well worth the money!

I was really pleased with the friendly and reliable service Derek at Dee Cee Upholstery provided. The finished outcome, a window seat cushion cover, was better than I could have hoped for! My only slight niggle is that, days after I thought the job had been started, I had to confirm a third time that I wanted the work to be done. This meant that I had to wait a bit longer but it was well worth the wait!

There was no pressure to agree to anything I was not happy with, and I was given impartial advice Though I only wanted one armchair recovered and reconditioned. I had an old reproduction button back chair that needed revitalising and Derek was happy to reupholster it, having recovered our sofa with purple velvet to an excellent standard. I really wanted a Liberty print fabric but I knew it would be expensive. Derek told me how much fabric I would need and waited patiently for me to buy it and proceed when I was ready. The fabric arrived and Derek took the chair and it away. When he brought it back to choose a braid rather than studding I was amazed and delighted. He suggested I keep the braid catalogue overnight and check my choice in the daylight. I received the completed chair within a couple of days and it looks fabulous. I love this iconic Liberty peacock feather Hera print and have a stunning piece of furniture. Thank you Derek 😊

We have an antique chair which has been the family for many decades, and which was looking and feeling tired. DeeCee have done an excellent refurbishment job on the chair, transforming it, and done so in promptly, in about 10 days.

I commissioned Dee Cee to repair and reupholster my grandfather's old rocking chair and some more modern dining chairs and they have done a superb job. Karen helped me decide on the right fabrics from an impossibly large array of options and they look perfect now the chairs are done and home. Derek showed great attention to detail on the work, as well as providing a super-efficient collection and delivery service. They only take the chairs away when they are ready to do the work, and the project was complete within a week. A full overhaul and recovering of a three piece suite, restoring it to the same brand new condition as when we bought it nearly twenty years ago. Done quickly within the time estimated and delivered when agreed. The whole process from original visit to delivery went very well. They also supplied furniture for us to use whilst the job was being done. Cost was very similar to a big national company, so it was good to go local.

I couldn't replace my kitchen chairs as they didn't do them anymore so got them recovered and they are as good as new - really pleased. Also feel virtuous and better for environment to redo than throwing away

We had a chair and ottoman reupholstered in a 'designer guild' fabric. The chair was brand new from loaf. The chair is better than new with more plump cushions and a more luxurious feel. Customer service is second to none. You really feel in the hands of masters.

We had 2 sofas 15 years old & they were a little tired in particular the material although we loved the style & size. Throughout the whole process, Derek & his team made it easy from going through fabrics to the end result. The workmanship far exceeded our expectations. We opted for firmer seat cushions & all new scatter backs. Our sofas are now unique & better than new. You need to remember that upholstery isn’t a cheaper option to buying new but what you get is far better in quality of padding, comfort & material & that will stay looking great for longer. Having looked at new sofas the quality isn’t there. We now have two beautifully unique pieces. We required a cushion for our bench in the kitchen. Dee Cee Upholsterers created a quality cushion that will take years of use without showing wear and tear as the manufacture process was very thorough. Quite expensive but a excellent product.

Derek came to assess what was required and quoted to re-plump the leather seat on my chair, which was very compressed, and also replace the webbing, as well as plump the back as well. They collected it, completed the work and returned it in 10 days. I asked for the seat cushion to be firm and am delighted with the result. In addition, they called to say that the work took less time than expected, so reduced the price they originally quoted, which was a pleasant surprise. Very efficient and professional company, who also offer a warranty on their work.

They made 5 new cushions for our suite and it is now like having a completely new suite without the expense of a brand new suite. I am over the moon with the quality of workmanship from Dee Cee Interiors. I was apprehensive about having my suite re-upholstered, but wow I have two absolutely unique stunning sofas, in superb fabrics. Derek and his team spent time explaining about the fabrics and which fabrics would crush over time and which wouldn't. The staff at Dee Cee were always very helpful and friendly, the whole experience was excellent, very personal and friendly, yet professional. From our first enquiry to completion of re-upholstering our six dining chairs, we received helpful advice on selecting the fabric, clear pricing and Terms. The chairs were collected, with our consent, sooner than originally planned and returned in an excellent condition, to our complete satisfaction within 48 hours. My old arm chair needed a revamp and I went to Dee Cee upholstery as they local to me. I was really impressed with the personal service I received from Derek, he went through lots of books of fabrics even letting me borrow a book for a few days to check colour. We agree a price once I had chosen fabric and was given an idea of date for collection of the chair. Karen phoned me a few weeks later to arrange to collect the chair and she told me it would be 2 weeks for job to be carried out. True to her word she phoned me and we arranged delivery. I am so pleased with the service I received from start to finish. Not forgetting Jason who actually did the work. Fabulous! I would definitely recommend them to friends and family.

After searching for several weeks for two recliner chairs, I found this established family firm which not only gave me an excellent bargain but I received the most personal and speedy service which surpassed all the high street stores I had tried. They took away my old furniture at no extra charge. I would not hesitate to recommend this firm to anyone.

Our two chairs had once been very comfortable. They are over 50 years old and had been sat upon by us and bounced upon by the grandchildren. The springs on one chair were badly distorted and the upholstery had been scratched and worn by our now deceased cat. Dee Cee upholstery welcomed us to their premises with the required lockdown restrictions and showed us a great selection of fabrics. They advised us to consider deeper cushions, which we ordered. We were told about the likely time they could start the work and the length of time it would take. We took sample books home to compare colours and shades and were sent an invoice. The work was completed within budget. The chairs were collected from home and then delivered back after completion. They look really smart. Derek and the showroom staff were helpful. We were pleased to have the work undertaken and completed so promptly.

We inherited an Ercol chair which was in need of recovering. We contacted Dee Cee Upholstery as they were very local to us and have an excellent reputation. They collected the chair and completed the work within the agreed timescale. What particularly impressed us was not only the standard of work (which is superb) but the fact that they kept us informed of progress from the initial estimate, a discussion on the selection of materials and possible extras through to completion and delivery. We don’t have anything else to recover but if we did we would use them again without hesitation.

This is the fourth job undertaken by Derek and his team so this review speaks for itself! We have had two very old armchairs, a settee, leather chesterfield and now a sofa bed. All this furniture has been given a new lease of life and unrecognisable. You would think they had come straight from Harrods. Derek and his team are very helpful and friendly. Our much loved and used furniture has been given a new lease of life, better than going to landfill especially as they fitted in our home perfectly but we had just worn them out with family life . Originally covered in a hard wearing linen union ,we chose a faux leather by Christina Morrone to give us longevity. Both Derek and Karen in the showroom were always helpful , patient and friendly whilst we chose the material for the job and had plenty of sample books for us to take home and choose from . The arrangements we made for collection and then the delivery of our reupholstered furniture back to us were carried out with good communication along the way ,and as per quoted price .We needed new back cushion interiors and the seat cushions were made reversible at no extra charge . Definitely money well spent and great to support a local business.

I required eight conservatory seat cushions recovered and having purchased goods from the same shop many years ago. I decided to give them a go. It was really good to find out that the shop is still run on a family basis and that two of the chaps in the shop were apprentice to Ron Eldridge. The service was perfect. The virus control is well supported and looked perfectly safe to get in the shop. The quality of the material and the workmanship was of A1 service. The cushions were completed on time. I highly recommend DeeCee.

I have been using Dee Cee Upholstery for 43 years in fact I was their first customer. Nothing is too much trouble for them. So when I had the idea of sewing fabric samples together to update a chair. They said no problem! We discussed where each fabric was to go. I couldn’t be more delighted with the result. Job was to replace cushions on 2 conservatory chairs and cushion and webbing on foot stool. We wanted the chair cushions to be a little thicker and longer than the originals. The cushions and stool were both collected from and delivered back to us. Completed ahead of time and the total cost was exactly as previously advised. An excellent job of upholstery and we are very pleased with both the look and the comfort of the cushions. Derek was always on time and he and his staff were always very courteous. After DeeCee made such an excellent job of our dining chairs we asked them to reupholster two Edwardian chairs that we had. Once again they did not disappoint, the work was excellent as was the service we received from them. Cannot recommend them highly enough.

Dee Cee reupholstered my Parker Knoll chair. The service was excellent from start to finish. Derek advised me on which patterns would be unsuitable, and what would be suitable. We had to replace the leather fabric on our dining room table chairs which were split and worn. We did consider replacing the chairs but are so glad that we did not, Dee Cee Upholstery did an excellent job – seamless throughout, very helpful on the telephone responding to our first email enquiry, a wonderful range of fabrics. Once again Dee Cee Upholstery have performed another miracle! Eighteen months ago they rejuvenated two sixties armchairs and now they have done an amazing job on our settee giving us a very posh three piece suite. Even though they had a backlog of work due to Covid-19 the work was completed in just over a week. We can’t praise them highly enough for their top quality work, efficiency and friendliness. We had a variety of work done - a 1970’s swivel chair and 2 x 1930’s dining chairs recovered, plus cushions made and covered for 2 vintage Ercol chairs. Dee See has a huge collection of fabrics, offer advice where needed and nothing is too much trouble - Derek and Karen are so helpful and accommodating. A first class job on all pieces, all completed perfectly and to the very highest standard - so pleased and we can’t recommend highly enough.

Contacted Dee Cee about a leather sofa which is about 10 years old. Received a call back to arrange a visit for a free quote to carry out the works. Arrived as arranged, quote came through promptly at a fair price. Once we accepted the quote, we paid a deposit and the work was carried out really quickly. The job was to recover a seat and arm area on one end of a three seater recliner sofa. They came and de-built the sofa, took away the parts they required, carried out the repair and returned and rebuilt it. The job has been done to an excellent high standard as you would expect from a long standing company such as Dee Cee Upholstery.

Dee Cee re-upholstered 2 x sets of window seat cushions for us. They were most helpful in choosing fabrics with us and keeping us informed as the job progressed. The workmanship is excellent and the cost was as agreed. Would definitely use again if we have similar jobs and would recommend to anyone.

It was carried within the agreed time scale and at the quoted price even though a more expensive fabric was used as our original choice had been discontinued. It took us a long time to decide on material but it never was a bother, Derek arrived on time for every appointment and was very friendly and helpful. The furniture went from red and gold 1998 to an Ash colour fabric with soft texture 2019! They repaired the base and it’s feels like a brand new settee. I needed to save my settee suite from total disrepair Dee Cee went above and beyond my expectations. Their workmanship is superb when I explained what I would like them to do I was listened to and told what could be achieved and if at all possible my full wishes would met once they started work. I paid a deposit and two weeks later Dee Cee collected my suite and thoughtfully left me two very comfortable chairs for the full week of restoration. I was advised when it would be returned and was not let down. I asked if they could alter some cushion covers for me and put new backings on also zip fasteners which was done. I am totally delighted with everything Dee Cee have done for me and would not hesitate to use them again or recommend. I must add they were able to everything that I asked which was fabulous but was not left with the illusion that was going to be the case. True master craftsman.

Our antique arm chair was beautifully restored. The Sherwood frame was repaired, hand cleaned and wax polished, the seat was stripped out and re-sprung. It now looks beautiful with the new covering. We enjoy sitting on it now that it has been made strong and secure again. The stool originally had a raffia seat which we chose to have fully upholstered to match the antique chair. We are really pleased with the chair and stool.

Dropped into DeeCees following a google search on the offchance i could get a foam wedge cut to measure for my daughters pram and they found a solution quickly. Would highly recommend for good old fashioned face to face contact.
