We had all the windows and doors replaced. We chose Derwent windows because they supplied Evolution windows which I considered to be the best on the market. The price was the price and non-negotiable but we considered this a positive after dealings with other National firms who's starting prices were frighteningly high followed by pressurised negotiations! Derwent were very helpful with choosing and detailing, but some confusion arose because we talked to four people, this was resolved when we asked for one focal contact (hence the 4 star rating). The installation team were fantastic, polite, helpful, covered everything with plastic sheeting and no problem was too small. All snags were resolved to our complete satisfaction.

Not cheap and pitched as a top of the range product we bought 6 sash windows and an external door for an old stone cottage. Throughout Derwent windows provided a clear, responsive and professional service, they managed our expectations and the team doing the installation were top notch. Time will be the real test of product quality but from the experience to date I have high hopes and no problems commending Derwent Windows for their delivery.

Had a new door fitted. Derwent were helpful from the very first time we stepped into the show room. The door was installed ahead of schedule and the quality is first rate. The fitters were excellent throughout, leaving zero mess and doing an excellent job. A follow up call was made to us to check satisfaction. Would definitely recommend this company to anyone.

An extremely professional and helpful company with every member of the team from the start to the end of the process fantastic. They listened to my requests and have changed two french doors with side half windows into to two french doors with full length side panels which has totally transformed our view of the garden. High recommend using oak, as even though it was far more expensive the gain really comes out in the finish of the wood. Will definitely only use this company for windows in the future.

Derwent Windows are usually very good, but with this order of just one window its been an awful experience. It was weeks for someone to actually visit and measure up the opening, which has had knock on problems meaning we weren't able to complete the extension weather proofing before Christmas. The chap fitting the window didn't seem to want to be here, and we still haven't got the keys to operate it. We placed an order with someone else for a Bifold door, and from order to fitting was 3 weeks.

As a family-run business, servicing the East Midlands for over 25 years, I take negative reviews very seriously as we strive for continual improvement and excellence. I have thoroughly investigated the facts of your order and offer the following observations and comments that I hope will offer a more balanced view. You have placed 5 orders with us over the last 7 years. You have stated that it took “weeks” for somebody to visit you for the survey. You placed an order with us on Wednesday the 31st of October 2023 for one window and we visited to carry out the site survey on Wednesday the 8th of November. 5 working days later. We emailed your contract and request for a deposit on Monday the 13th of November. You paid your deposit on the 23rd of November. You didn't approve your drawings or confirm your contract until the 30th of November, a delay of 13 working days. From approval of your contract to installation took 21 working days, taking into account the Christmas shutdown period. We took delivery of your window from the manufacturer on the 15th of January. We installed your window on the 16th of January. I personally called you on the 15th of January to ask if it would be a problem if we delayed your installation by a few days due to staff sickness. You advised me it wouldn’t be a problem, but I heard your wife in the background angrily swear. I have never heard such a reaction when asking to potentially delay the installation of an order. I then advised that the installation would take place on the agreed date of the 16th of January. The fitter arrived at 7.45 am and left approximately 3 hours later. After the installation, as we do with all orders, out of courtesy we phoned to ask if everything was ok with the installation. You replied that you were happy but there was a key missing for the window lock. We sent out a replacement key, but unfortunately, we sent out the wrong key. Out of all the complex orders we have ever processed, it seems very strange that an order for one window, installed into a new build extension, we have received our worst rating ever on which trusted trader. Especially when I look at the facts that from approval of the contract to installation took 21 working days. We are committed to your guarantee of 10 years and if you have any further problems, I am happy for you to deal with me directly. Kind regards Alister Walters
