Our independent plumbing, heating and gas company serves Chesterfield, Matlock, Bakewell, Dronfield and South Yorkshire. We strive to maintain our excellent reputation by exceeding customer expectations.

We undertake the installation, maintenance, service and repair of all makes/models of gas boilers and appliances, including LPG. From simple repairs to complete central heating installations, or a tap washer to complete bathroom renovations, from Homeowners Reports to Landlords Gas Safety Inspections, we provide a friendly, efficient and diligent service.

I’d give 10 Stars if I could. From my first communication with the office, to Darren coming out and servicing our gas boiler and fire, to then getting the certificate (my fault not done on the day, I left the paperwork elsewhere) every single person was, helpful and knew what they were talking about. They obviously have a lot of expertise and experience. Highly recommend using them.

We have used Direct Gas for the past few years for our annual service and have always found the engineers very friendly and efficient. Had our old boiler replaced two weeks ago and once again received the same high standard of service, and nothing too much trouble for them. Would certainly recommend this Company.

Direct Gas did an annual service for my gas boiler. They were on time, thorough and fairly priced. They helpfully responded very quickly after a different company attempted to service the boiler the previous day, and wrongly issued a safety notice and disconnected to try to get me to buy a new boiler. I had total confidence in Direct Gas, who carefully explained to me why all that was required was a regular service, which they carried out successfully and to my satisfaction. I will definitely be using Direct Gas in the future for my annual service.

We contacted Direct Gas early in the morning when we realised that we had no hot water. We automatically reached out to them as they have previously carried out work for us, including both a new boiler and a bathroom conversion some years ago and we knew they would be reliable. We were not disappointed, later that day both Tim and Adrian arrived. They immediately diagnosed the issue and set about resolving it. It was such a relief when they said they had the correct part on the van and within a short space of time the hot water was working again. However, they then spent some minutes double checking all the hot water outlets to ensure they all worked correctly. As they cheerily waved goodbye, they reminded us to call them if any further issues arise. I would never recommend any other Gas and Plumbing Engineers. Their cheerful friendly and efficient service is second to none. A shout out to Marion in the office too, for her friendly reassurance she would organise an Engineer visit on the day.

We returned home after 3 nights away to find a problem with the Central Heating system, so rang Direct Gas, as they were the company who originally installed the system, and have always done a good job servicing the system each year. Although the problem was a nuisance problem as opposed to a serious problem, with the heating coming on and going off randomly, Direct Gas responded quickly and came out the following day. They diagnosed the problem, provided a temporary fix, and then rang later in the day with a price and a date to fit new parts. Three days later, as agreed they came out, and fixed the problem by fitting new parts.

We have used this company over a period of 12 months as we completely upgraded and renovated our property. This meant us asking for help and flexibility along the way. They have installed a new boiler and central heating, some of the radiators were the very modern ones and we wanted all of them to be piped from the wall , not up from the floor, this meant quite a lot of work fitting and re fitting them as the work was moving along. The boiler had to be re located as we had building work done and Direct Gas worked with us along the way and made the whole experience much less stressful. They helped us with additional plumbing along the way too, as we had a new kitchen and utility room. They were punctual, professional, and always did exactly what we asked. The products that were supplied were super quality, the boiler itself is the best I have ever had. We never had to ask them back to resolve a problem as everything worked right first time!. They were within our budget too, which in these times is a real bonus! A big thank you form myself and my wife for all the help!!

The engineer arrived on time, was polite, friendly, helpful and professional. He serviced our Central Heating, and although we had not originally requested testing our gas fire when we booked the appointment, when we requested this he was helpful and also did this for us. All the work was completed quickly, and efficiently and the area was left clean.

After our gas boiler stopped working Direct Gas came out the same day we contacted them to diagnose the problem. I was given a clear diagnosis and reason for the failure and discussed various options based on our future plans for next steps. This included outline cost estimates and the pros and cons for each. Later that day an accurate estimate and timescale for repair was provided. An engineer arrived on time and completed the repair leaving no mess behind. At all times the Direct Gas representatives were polite, pleasant and highly professional and considerate of our needs. We were not placed under any pressure to decide how to proceed at anytime and were given all the information we asked for. I have used them regularly over many years and have always found them helpful and good value for money. I would highly recommend them.

Starting with Tim's visit for the quote to wrapping up on completion the guys were very professional. Always on time, covered carpets to keep mess to a minimum, cleared up after themselves. They took time out to show us how the boiler worked and the wifi controller. I had 3 quotes and Tim's was the cheapest on like for like installation. His final invoice was exactly per his quote. As an accredited installer we also received a 12 year guarantee from the manufacturer instead of usual 10. I have no hesitation in recommending Direct Gas (Chesterfield) Ltd.

Direct Gas replaced our boiler and pump recently. Tim gave us sound advice and a reasonable price. Adrian and Craig did a very neat and competent job. Despite having to make some significant changes to the plumbing, the work was all completed in less than a day. The carpets were protected before work started, and all of the old parts were cleared away at the end. The system seems to be working well and we are happy to recommend Direct Gas.

Tim arrived promptly as per my booking with DG reception, all very simple. The task of fitting my fires gas valve was quite involved and to me complicated. Tim completed the job quickly, efficiently and to a high standard. I was relieved when it was in and up and running. As I had a new thermocouple Tim decided to fit this as well. I was really impressed from start to finish with both Tim and Direct gas's ease of dealing with. Very professional and reliable, unlike other trades people I have used. Will definitely be my first call when requiring ang gas services in the future. I think the value for money was a good.

When, recently, my boiler stopped working, I immediately rang Direct Gas Chesterfield Ltd. The person on the other end of the phone took my details and we arranged for an engineer to call. To my surprise the engineer was able to call the next day and was able to diagnose the problem. I was quoted a price and was told the work could be done the following morning. Spot on time the engineer, who was very professional, came and fitted the required part. I shall certainly use Direct Gas in the future.

Two engineers - Adrian and Craig - were very prompt, efficient, friendly, clean and competent in carrying out the work of removing my 38 hear old boiler and water tank nad replacing this with a combi boiler.
