Doug Farleigh Kitchens

This was a slightly different project, not a completely new kitchen but replacing Formica worktops with granite. We started off visiting granite suppliers but quickly learned that they would measure up, supply and fit the granite worktops but not all the associated tasks. These included removing and disposing the old worktops, preparing everything for the new worktops such as removing electric hob and sink, installing support for new under fitted sink and plumbing and electrical work after the worktops were fitted. We realised we needed a kitchen person to do the job and coordinate the other tradesmen for the plumbing and electrical work. We found Doug on the internet and what a find. He did a brilliant job and project managed the whole thing. Problems were overcome as they were encountered including repositioning one of the floor units and moving an integrated washing machine from one side of the kitchen to the other. Doug was totally reliable and a perfectionist, fine tuning cabinet doors and plinths once the worktop was installed. I would totally recommend and if you need a new kitchen or, like us, modifications to an existing one, you would be hard pressed to find a better company for the job.

I have deliberately left it a while to leave a review as sometimes living with your new kitchen and with hindsight you sometimes wish you might have done something slightly different with your new kitchen..... This has not happened with our kitchen from Doug & Jayne. The service they provide is outstanding their experience shines through during the design phase helping you think of things you haven't thought of. The quality of the units is brilliant and the level to which they help you make it right for you is fantastic. We have special dog food cupboards that take big dog food sacks but still look really nice as well as a beer cupboard! Doug helps you make the most of every mm of space you have and during installation goes the extra mile to make sure you can fit in whatever you need and it works for you. Our boiler is in the kitchen and Doug adjusted things so we can fit our ironing board, mops and hoover wand etc down the side as well as fitting shelving to enable Dyson charging etc. Small things that make a big difference! 18 months on there isn't a thing we would change and as this is the 3rd kitchen we have put in a property I can honestly say this wasn't the case for the previous 2 who were supplied by other well known large companies. The attention to detail and completely personalised bespoke service from design to post installation from Doug and Jayne is what makes all the difference. If you want a kitchen you'll love call them!

We have recently had the pleasure of having our kitchen installed by Doug & Jayne Farleigh. The prospect of a few weeks without your kitchen is a daunting one, to say that we’ve been pleasantly surprised would be a huge understatement. The project has been a fantastic success from design through to completion. Doug was brilliant at all aspects of the kitchen design and installation. It was a great relief to have someone totally reliable to project manage every aspect. His workmanship is faultless.

We were about to go with a well-known kitchen company, but then had a chat with Doug - who gave us a cheaper quote (than the company's apparently massively discounted quote), for better quality units, and an improved design. Doug is reliable, efficient, very patient, tidy, and a perfectionist when it comes to his work. Our beautiful kitchen receives many compliments. We highly recommend Doug Farleigh Kitchens!

We have had the pleasure of Jayne and Doug’s work for two of our homes in both kitchen and utility areas. 3D drawings of various layouts were presented for us to choose. Jayne then patiently helped me choose through the huge array of styles of kitchen door, work surfaces, appliances and inserts for the cupboards and drawers. Doug then fitted with speed and precision! I love my fitted pantry cupboards which were made especially to fit the space and recessed for a seemless finish! Also the placement of cutlery, plates, cups next to the dishwasher,sink and bins, half the time spent on the boaring kitchen jobs. Doug’s recommendation for a decorator finished the project to create the kitchen of our dreams! Always gets a wow factor from friends and family!

Brilliant service from Doug and Jayne, we cannot recommend them highly enough. We have a very compact kitchen but they really made the most of every space, maximizing storage and giving us some great advice regarding options. They were happy to print and amend the designs and double checked we were happy with every detail before ordering. The quality of the kitchen is superb. Dougs workmanship is first class, with maximum attention to every tiny detail. Jayne was fantastic in organizing and coordinating the other trades to tie in perfectly with the installation. We are so happy with our brilliant beautiful and practical new kitchen, I cannot thank them enough. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.
