WM connection & Gas Oven re-connection

Stuart did a great job of fitting my new WM which was not as easy as we first thought. Due to the layout and size of my kitchen, the Gas Oven/Hob had to be disconnected and moved in order for the old WM to be removed and the new one installed. I was let down severely by John Lewis who had agreed to do this for me and Stuart came to the rescue. He was completely thorough and extremely safety conscious. He insisted on testing the Gas meter and connection to the oven before moving it and after reinstalling it. He also noticed the washer connection at the back of the existing WM was old and poorly repaired so he ensured this was repaired to a high standard, using a much better quality washer and installed the new WM in a manner that was heaps better than the original connection associated with the old machine. He also quietly endured my efforts to clean parts of the floor that had not been exposed for some time, despite having to work in a rather cramped space. Considering the amount of time he spent here and the heavy duty lifting he needed to do, his fee was very reasonable. Can't recommend him enough.

Comment from the Tenant: I was impressed by the fact Stuart arrived onsite when he said he would arrive, with a complete tool kit in hand and identified the problem straight away with a reasonable quote for his time on top of the price of the new part. He sourced the part and returned same day. The situation was made a little more difficult for him by one of my neighbours interfering in his work, due to a leak from my flat possibly affecting other flats in the building. He dealt with the situation with the utmost diplomacy and honesty when he could have easily just completed the job in hand and departed. His assistance in this matter was a huge help in avoiding a potential miscarriage of justice for my landlord. Comment from the Landlord: Stuart has been absolutely amazing. He sorted the problem he had been employed to fix but he also looked at the other flats that could have been impacted by the leak from under the bath in my flat. He followed up the next day to make sure there was no further water seepage. Nothing was too much trouble. He explained the issue and the solutions very clearly. He was reasonably priced. I would highly recommend him. A good plumber is hard to find so I'm very glad we have found him and I'll definitely be using him again should the need arise.

Complicated plumbing job involving our freeholder too.

Stuart does not give up if a solution is hard to find. His approach is methodical and thorough. His professionalism and guidance have been excellent, putting forward practical solutions and working in a clean and tidy way. We are hampered by needing input from our freeholder and he has also given very helpful advice on how to approach this. The work he has completed so far (not needing the freeholder) has been done to a very high standard. We will post a further review when we have been able to complete the outstanding issues involving our freeholder.

Annual boiler service and required repairs completed in a timely, courteous and professional manner. Their fees are reasonably priced and I would recommend them for any plumbing and gas works services.
