ETW Building Services were able to sort out a mess left by a previous contractor. They identified a blockage in the guttering system caused by debris, and realigned the gutters to make them flow properly, I was impressed by the diagnosis of the problem and recommended course of action, which proved correct. The operatives were charming and efficient. The price was competitive. I would strongly recommend ETW.

The job is mostly done to a high quality. Ted himself kept a close eye on his workers and made sure they maintained quality. They were good at communication for the most part too. Cost went over budget, but for reasons that were unavoidable, and this was clearly communicated in advance, so fair enough. Time management was poor. The job took more than a month longer than quoted. As a result there was overlap with other tradesmen, and there was definitely a lack of consideration for this, and also a slightly slapdash snagging process towards the end as a result. I'd recommend this firm if they're the only ones working on the site, and you've no particular hurry.

Ted has sorted out the damp problems in my flat. I live in Australia so have had to rely on him to manage all aspects of the work with only a couple of face to face meetings. He and his team have done a great job and Ted has returned to the flat a number of times to check everything is ok. He has worked totally to budget. I highly recommend him and he is especially good if you need someone reliable and trustworthy to work on a property in your absence.

Our block of seven flats (owned and managed by residents) needed substantial maintenance work which involved repainting, repointing, re-leading on the roof, damp-proofing and some joinery work. It also required quite a lot of liaising with various residents which Ted, who is in charge of the firm, handled very well and patiently. When the scaffolding was found to have blocked off a resident's satellite dish Ted also arranged to have the dish temporarily moved. We were pleased with the quality of the work -- it was better than we have had in the past from some other firms. It took a bit longer than originally estimated -- partly because of bad weather. Overall, we were very satisfied and would consider using this firm again.
