It is not until you use the services of Richard and his team(s) at Easymove of Derby that you realise how lucky you have been. Not estimates from ???men in suits??? carrying clipboards spouting ???volumes to be carried and fitted into their vans??? by unseen workers and calculations to be poured over before an estimate emerges a few days later. If anything is a little out of the ordinary the ???boss??? Richard himself comes and gives a quotation on the spot and sticks to it. If he has got it wrong, then the buck stops there ??" the quote doesn???t change, provided that he has seen everything that is to be moved. He is usually part of the team and works just as hard at the rest on his employees, if not harder. When he visited us to assess the job, he went to great lengths to explain everything in detail and I reiterate what others have said about his overarching desire to make the whole move as stress free as possible ??" it was. His courteous manner does real credit to his business. We took his sound advice which was for him and his co-workers to pack most of our items and take down fittings and fixtures which we were going with us ??" it doesn???t cost much more in the grand scheme of things ??" and was so much easier than us having to worry about them. To be fair, we had some unusual items such as a small horsebox (tyres rather flat, brake not so good, rear light broken ??" it went in one of their vans of course!), a carriage, quite a few bricks which I wouldn???t part with and potted plants galore! He didn???t flinch when he saw all of our stuff, not to mention the two fuel bunkers (empty but a little dirty), garden seats, netting ??" the list was endless I am embarrassed to say! Our move from the outskirts of Nottingham to just over the border from Devon into Cornwall took three days culminating on the hottest day of the year. Furniture etc was reassembled by his team and things mostly ended up in the right places apart from those items which would not fit into our new low-ceiling property. We rounded off the move with a barbeque style lunch and sent the 3 vans and team on their way with some bottles of beer for when they got home! Some things that might concern readers ??" Easymove doesn???t belong to a trade association ??" there is no need. These are honest straightforward guys. The company carries removals insurance but any fair-minded person who cannot accommodate the odd scratch, knock or scrape (of which we saw very little in fact) in what is logistically a complex operation would be a perfectionist in the extreme! Although we haven???t moved very often with furniture, I have made the mistake of going for an hourly rate in the past ??" don???t, it almost invariably costs more than you anticipate. Don???t be fooled by seemingly good estimates on websites from the big providers ??" when it comes down to it, costs have a habit of creeping up when the ???man in the suit??? comes to visit. We worked with Richard and kept him posted all the time. We had to move 10 or so days later than anticipated but this wasn???t a problem. So how much does this all cost? Richard at Easymove charges a very fair price (maybe a little bit of a shock at first, but less than the men in suits with clipboards as it turns out, who said, ??ùa cart?, carriage?, how would we get that on our van???ù). Richard and his company are the type of people who look for solutions, not for problems (as seemingly others do who thereby fail to offer a full service). A Rolls Royce service from a Derby based company ??" what more can I say?

We used easy move to move house during August 2014 and the whole day went without a hitch and was also very easy, relaxed and stress free, which is a high achievement for a house move! I can most definitely recommend Richard and the team as they were both professional but also a great bunch to have in your (old and new) home. We're hoping not to have to move home again for a long while but if and when we do then I will definitely be on the phone to easy move again to see if they can do the move!

I can only endorse what has been said by the others, excellent in every way. Richard and his team did a split move for us over 3 days, exchanging some stuff at one place before going to the final destination. Access wasn't easy so they used 3 smaller vans, despite a 200 mile move. A great team, no hesitation in strongly recommending, and not the most expensive of the 3 quotes we got.

Richard is the owner and is very knowledgeable and helpful. His team are good - friendly and helpful. We had quite a big move over several days - Richard and his team were on time, got on with it, we had no damage because they protect items robustly, and at the end they offered to come back if we decided that an item, or items of furniture were in the wrong place and we needed them moving again. They were competitively priced and I have no hesitation in recommending them

Richard Morley (coffee - 1 sugar), was the initial point of contact. Polite, professional, someone you felt you could rely on: someone who put the customer first, and wanted the customer to understand the quality of his firm's work. Received immediate quote, after survey of work - no deposit required: pay on completion of job. Nothing was too much trouble. On the day, were a little late, but phoned to apologise - traffic - and it was very busy. Move went without a hitch, and the care taken by Richard, Neil (tea - no sugar), and young Josh (tea - two sugars) was impressive. On arrival at the final destination, straight into action - no wasting time - clean, neat and efficient. Everything was placed exactly where we wanted it. Nothing was too much trouble. Couldn't ask for a better removal firm.

Excellent value for money - was the cheapest of all three quotes I got. The main contact (Richard) was very helpful, professional and courteous. Nothing seemed to be too much of a problem to organise. They were the only company out of the ones I researched that did not charge for cancelations, but who work with you to re-arrange the removal. This was one of the reasons I chose them, which is lucky because my initial house purchase fell through 2 days before move day! When I did move (several months later) it was done quickly and professionally. They also picked up bits of furniture from another location for me. I would recommend them.
