Ebor Windows

Ebor Windows are certainly good at promoting themselves. I first had Jo out who gave us the ‘family business’ sales pitch and took an interest in our renovation work. I had a quote for a patio and porch door. I was told that Ebor would provide a stay for the patio doors and replace a defective hinge on my windows, nothing was too much trouble. When the work was due to be carried out Ebor had failed to allow for the plaster despite me telling their surveyor meaning the porch door wouldn't fit. They also hadn't brought stays and had a window hinge that was too large. I then received a phone call on the Monday morning. Jo told me that they had a meeting that morning and they had an offer for me, an additional £360 to fit the porch door. I said that I wasn’t prepared to pay that as it wasn’t my fault. By this point I just wanted to work with a company that I had confidence could do the job right, so I said to Jo that I would pay for the patio door installation once the stays had been fitted but I won’t proceed with the porch door and we can walk away at that. “We’ll take that” said Jo, sounding delighted. I then received another call from Jo that afternoon. She was acting aggressively towards me immediately and virtually shouting at me. Apparently, they'd had another meeting with the Director and now wanted me to pay for the door, despite it being their error and not what we agreed. She continued to harass me until I had to hang up to join a work call. Ebor has no integrity.

The fitters for Ebor Windows did a wonderful job on all of our windows and front door. They were very thorough and the results are really excellent. Would absolutely use them again and would certainly recommend them to anyone in the York area needing their doors / windows doing!

Replaced ten windows and one door within two days by a very efficient team. All went according to plan, from the initial contact, quote, survey and installation. Very happy with a high standard of work. Any small issues sorted very efficiently. I would certainly recommend Ebor to anyone else.

We had our bungalow double glazed by this family firm to a very high standard. We had a small mark on the door which was embedded in the plastic, it could not be polished out so a new door was brought to us and exchanged with no fuss or hassle, cannot speak too highly of this company, and would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone, they put down dustsheets every morning when they start and clean up every night when they finish, book them with confidence.

Installed replacement double glazing. Everything went to plan from the original quote, the site survey and the installation work. Very high standard of work and everything kept tidy after each work session. Good communication with small issues discussed and agreed along the way. Work certainly recommend this firm.

We love the new patio doors you have fitted to our house. Service was super friendly and helpful right from the start. I was able to visit your showroom to make sure I was happy with our choice and communication throughout was excellent. On the day they were fitted we were told exactly when the job would start and the guys who came to do the fitting were great - full of banter but very professional at the same time. The finished job is high quality and we love the black textured finish. Thanks again for the excellent service.

Bungalow windows and doors replaced in October 2021. Excellent job. So pleased we had Sun Room windows and doors fitted. January 2022. Great customer service. Good choice of design, colour fittings and price. It has transformed our Bungalow.

It’s a long time since I have seen a team show such experience, competence and motivation to complete a job to the highest standard. It was obvious that Richard and his team take such a pride in their work and want perfection. The job was not easy. We wanted all our windows updated and every window’s position needed adjusting but Richard and his team took on the challenge with ease. Replastering was done by Richard and the end result really is perfect. The team went the extra mile, flashing was cleaned and fascias replaced; even our front door that was sticking was mended - without me even asking. I am absolutely delighted with the job and highly recommend Ebor Windows.

The Ebor Windows team kept us informed throughout the process, ensuring we were aware of the inevitable delays due to COVID and the related supply issues. Come installation, the window was installed in the morning and the room was left clean and tidy. We have also used Ebor in the past and will continue to do so into the future.
