No-one stopped for a coffee break! The team arrived ahead of time. They packed speedily and carefully, and marked the boxes accurately. They arrived at my new home well ahead of time and waited patiently for completion. They were helpful and courteous throughout.

The team arrived on the first day of 4 at the time advised, the 2 guys, Con and Jason who were friendly, professional and helpful, nothing was too much spent the day packing our home up, Con and Jack returned the next day to continue the packing and loading of the vehicles, on the third day Con and Jack returned to load the last items and to drive to our new property in Lincolnshire. They arrived with the 2 vehicles and we had to wait whilst the other family finished loading and left. Con and Jack unloaded the essentials and emptied the small vehicle, then left for the day. The boys returned as advised at eight in the morning and worked extremely hard, not stopping until they had finished unloading the main removal vehicle, they were at all times friendly, helpful, courteous, professional and hardworking, they would do anything they were asked. The three guys looked after all of our belongings as if they were their own and very respectful not only to our belongings but also to us. We would recommend F Smith and Son (Croydon) LTD to everyone who needs to use a removal company, they are extremely reliable, helpful, courteous and professional, the guys who attended on all 4 days are a credit to the company. The process when obtaining the initial quotation from the company was also a pleasure as the gentleman who attended was also very polite, respectful and professional, he also made us feel at ease with what would happen and what to expect from start to finish. Thank you F Smith & Sons for providing an excellent service. From the initial survey, to the administration, information provided, then an energetic 4-man team of removers who arrived on schedule, worked efficiently and diligently to transfer belongings from our 2-bed flat (situated on the 2nd floor of an attic flat), to loading up carefully and the secure packing of the removal van. Two of the team then traveled to Suffolk to our new home, and thoughtfully delivered any furniture which we needed overnight, before securing all carefully again to then return to us the following day to unload and position furniture as required. All very friendly and reassuring.

My move was a bit last minute. I called F Smith & Son on 20 January about moving on the 23 January. Lorraine organised a video call for that afternoon and I had a quote by the end of the day. The quote was very reasonable. The 2 movers on the day were excellent. They were friendly, courteous, quick and professional, both loading and unloading at my new address. They did everything I asked and I was very happy with the service. I can confidently recommend F Smith & Son.

Used F Smith and Son for a house move in january 2026. The booking and quote process was easy with knowledgeable staff and despite some delays in exchange, they communicated well and were supportive on revised dates. Moving day went very well with a professional team who moved us out and then in very carefully but swiftly. We took their packing service and this was well worth it.

Moving can be awful, even in the best of times. The team here did everything within their power to make my life better and I am incredibly grateful for it. From showing up earlier in the week to deliver boxes, to arriving promptly with great communication, to being friendly and cheerful throughout the day, to figuring out how to do things -- despite a narrower entryway than I had understood, to assembling and reassembling stuff without a complaint, to acting professionally, to being engaging... to even collecting the boxes post-move for recycling. I honestly can't list all the ways that I'm grateful to the team for making my difficult moving experience as painless as humanly possible. Thank you to the three lads who helped me and the back office team.

This is the second time we’ve used Smiths to move home. The team were excellent and took all the stress out of the process for us. The move took place over 4 days with packing on day 1, loading day 2 and the morning of completion day. And then travel to our new place and subsequent unloading. All our stuff was placed where we asked for it and nothing we did seemed to faze the chaps. I cannot recommend this firm highly enough
