The team from Smiths were excellent in their work - respectful, efficient and considerate at a very stressful time for us.

Our move went smoothly thanks to the fantastic guys who did the removals. It was a bit worrying as our stuff was going all the way from Surrey to Yorkshire the day before we did but everything run like clockwork. The guys loaded up in a professional and timely manner and a friend let them in the house in Yorkshire and said What great guys they were. They treated our property with care and respect . I will not hesitate to recommend you guys in the future. Thank you so much for making a stressful time that bit easier.

Excellent service. Home move from a house in Sutton to a second floor flat in Henley-on-Thames went smoothly and efficiently.

Everything about the move was perfect, the timing at both ends was spot on and the work carried out with expert efficiency. I could not find fault with any aspect of the move. Well Done.

Extremely satisfied with all aspects of our move to another local property. The team arrived very punctually and worked continually over the day of packing, which they did. There was plenty of (some paid for by us) material to pack our own delicate/personal items. We had some awkwardly placed pieces of furniture to take out and, with great ingenuity and good humour, they succeeded without any damage. I don’t want to single out any one particular team member - they were all great, worked extremely hard over the moving day too, were very helpful and friendly. There were no extra costs, only very minor damage - all at a very competitive price. Overall very happy with our experience moving with FH Smith - thank you again to the guys!🙂

The company really care about their workers ensuring they receive breaks, and training, and are fit and knowledgeable. The workers moved my furniture with care and precision, were fit and able to work at pace, and knew when to break and what challenges to tackle first. I was completely overwhelmed at how quickly one person built my old bed frame. It would have taken me many hours to do on my own. They were a very well match pair who had different strengths and were open about what they found challenging. The teamwork was fantastic. They remembered things I forgot such as covering my mattress. The whole day was soooo calm as they were so reliable and took control. Expensive but I guess very worth it as I had zero hassle. The office staff were super too.

What a top tip, from the first meeting with our estimator (Steve) very professional to contact with the staff at and finally with the team who worked with us over two days led by Chris & Lee with Jim& Conner. It was a highly professional and friendly no fuss and nothing is too much trouble company. My wife can not speak more highly of this the company and their employees. F Smith & Sons moved us from Surrey to Co. Durham. The move took 3 days which was the agreed timeframe. They were recommended to us and I would have no hesitation in recommending them to others. The driver communicated with us by text and was good enough to do a slight detour. They were polite and efficient in the packing, loading, delivering and unloading. They rebuilt a triple wardrobe and a desk as previously agreed. I was impressed by their processes, a very professional outfit. The staff in the office have always been friendly and approachable.

The team of three arrived early on the day and were efficient in every way. Nothing was broken or lost. We were very pleased. Your quotation was very competitive and much better than using removers from our part of Surrey. We had not thought of using removers from the delivery end and are very glad we did. Excellent.

I had stuff in storage for over five years. Finally had it returned and I was amazed at the condition of everything. It all looked like it only went into storage last week rather than several years ago. Very happy with the staff when they came to put it all into storage and also with the staff who returned it all. quickly done both times with a minimum of fuss. F Smith & Sons were instructed to collected furniture already stored at a warehouse in Dorset and return to Croydon to resume storage at their own warehouse. Throughout the whole matter F Smith conducted themselves with sheer professionalism, fair with their costs and exceptional with their admin. It was a pleasure to liaise with Lorraine and John Smith, both of whom at all times could not have been more helpful to ensure the project ran smoothly. Which it did. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone in Croydon who wishes to receive good old fashioned service. Something that appears to have gone out of fashion these days.

The service provided by the team was excellent from the admin at the start to the loading and delivery on moving day. We had some particularly fragile items which were handled with care and attention. This is the second time I've used F Smith and Son, and I wouldn't consider using any other removals firm. They are incredibly efficient, clear in their communications, and very accommodating. It's always easy to get hold of them, and they are always polite and friendly in their dealings. The removals people themselves got the job done in no time. So impressed and grateful!

Although only moving a relatively short distance we still found F Smith & Son (Croydon) Ltd. very professional in carrying out our move. Everything ran smoothly from the time we received a detailed quote with options and costs. Telephone queries and the service provided was exemplary. Everything was clearly explained and followed up promptly in writing. Prior to moving day we had a part packing service and the staff member was friendly, communicative and efficient. On the day all the staff proved to be hard working, accommodating, friendly and professional in completing our move successfully. We were very pleased with the outcome and have no hesitation in recommending Smiths removals.

F Smith & Son (Croydon) Ltd were able to help me with a short distance move with little notice. The quote was sent over quickly after submitting video/photos. Price was reasonable and extras like boxes, tape, insurance were clearly detailed and available as a choice (not required). Boxes for hanging items were included in the quote. On the move day, they arrived promptly, verified all items to move and quickly but carefully loaded everything. After a lunch break, the unloading began. We have heavy, American-sized furniture and while challenging at times to fit through awkward doorways, they didn't give up. Nothing broken/damaged in the move including glass hutch and solid wood table. Would highly recommend and use this F Smith & Son again to move.

I carefully reviewed different removal companies and chose this one because I was really impressed with the professionalism from the start. They had answers to every question, knew how to package quite tricky things and on the days of packing/unpacking were really excellent. Coupled with this the Director involved himself as well which meant the service felt very personalised. Great professional and friendly staff, with great humour too which always helps :-)

I used F Smith & Son to move a piano from one room to another in my house. Whilst this was a small job for the company nevertheless the whole process was dealt with in a very professional manner. The quote was reasonable and on the day I was promised a phone call giving me warning of the crew's arrival which I received. The crew arrived and efficiently and quickly moved the piano - no fuss, no mess and no damage. I have used this company before and following my recent experience would definitely use again.

From my first enquiry to the last of my items being safely delivered to my new home, the whole team were absolutely fantastic. Aiden and John were brilliant on moving day and despite issues with confirming dates on my part they were quickly able to adapt to my solicitor schedule- thoroughly recommend this family firm.

Had a great experience from start to finish with Smiths. Quote was thorough and answered all my questions. The office were very responsive and helpful when my dates changed, keeping me up to date with their availability. We paid for a packing service and Connor arrived a couple of days before the move to do this. He was certainly more speedy than we would ever have been- would highly recommend, and it was certainly beneficial to have most of our goods bar the large furniture pre-loaded in advance of moving. Our move day went very smoothly, despite being the hottest day of the year. The team loaded and unloaded everything carefully and we had no breakages at all- I was pleasantly surprised that the had unloaded everything before 3.30pm. Would highly recommend, both in terms of quality of service and on competitiveness of quote.
