This review is long overdue for a job carried out back in July. And rather comically I first posted it to FLUSH PLUMBING AND HEATING by mistake (they were also brilliant in the quoting process by the way - such similar names!) We had a 20+ year old superbly reliable Vaillant boiler that was finally giving up the ghost. As always, I turned to Which? Trusted Traders, and although I’d never heard of Flush Plumbing and Heating before, their reviews were excellent — and now I understand why. From the very first contact, the experience was like nothing I’ve had since the “cowboy days” of Covid, when so many chancers seemed to appear out of nowhere. To be fair, the other companies I contacted were also excellent and speedy in replying and quoting but Flush won the job particularly because their price was significantly lower than the others. With Flush, I felt like I was communicating with a one-man-band in Adam, and couldn’t believe how quickly he responded, or how competitive his quote was. It blew everyone else out of the water. From start to finish, the service was simply exceptional. Adam was highly efficient and professional in assessing what we needed, gave expert guidance on choosing the best replacement boiler, and then arranged almost immediate installation. The work itself was immaculate, even when there was a last-minute challenge with the height positioning of the new boiler, it was handled seamlessly, with no drama and no delays. A Keston Combi boiler looked like the optimal replacement for my situation given my small ceiling voids for the flue runs. I selected Flush Heating & Plumbing based on their presence on the trusted traders list and reading all of their reviews there and on Checkatrade. Gareth visited for a survey and the day after provided a detailed, written quote with clarity on VAT. I took up the reasonably priced quote and paid a small down payment via credit card and agreed on two days the week after. On the first day a job had over run and they couldn't attend but Gareth and Matt turned up on day two and removed my old system and fitted the new Keston. The condensate pump pipework was left for the next day and that was done in two hours. The speed of their work (and their reviews) shows they are installation specialists. I was impressed on how they managed to remove my old metal flues (noisy work!) through small holes in my plasterboard ceiling and all of those holes got converted into (required by regulations) inspection hatches. I was pleasantly surprised by how minimal the disruption was to cold water and gas during the installation. They cleaned up at the end of the day and explained how the controls worked on the new boiler. Overall I'd say the job was very well done. The electrical cabling could be a tiny bit neater and there could have been some more communication on the one day delay, what to expect on installation day and any preparation tasks for me to do.

Called Flush as we woke up with no heating. Boiler showed a fault. Called and spoke to Gareth who wasn't sure if he could get to see it (it was -3 degrees) but knew the boiler and fault code. On checking broad knowledge (mine) he gave clear instructions on what to do which resolved the problem. Straightforward, honest advice that saved his team a trip and me some ££'s but gets them the boiler servicing contract and first port of call in future.

We had a really old boiler which needed to go. Gareth came round, gave us a quote and provided us with a solution which involved minimal disruption. The team arrived promptly, carried out the work and sorted out a couple of niggles without fuss. Would use again and highly recommend.

Gareth and Matt were both brilliant, reliable, friendly and so hard working. They replaced my boiler with minimal disruption and replaced and moved a radiator. An overall extremely pleasant and satisfying experience. I would highly recommend them to anyone and glad to be able to use them annually to service the boiler.

Gareth and all the team were outstanding during the whole process. I requested several quotes online to replace an old and broken boiler and to change all the radiators (6) of the house and Flush Heating & Plumbing Ltd were the first (and one of the fews) to respond. We arranged a first visit so they could see the layout of the radiators and the existing boiler and since the first moment he was professional, responsive, on time and showing a good technical knowledge. Their quote was, by far, the most comprehensive, detailed and with the lowest price. Once the work was agreed a team of three people attended the property and within the agreed dates (2 days) they managed to finish the work on time, professionally and with a minimum disruption to our home; they even had to deal with the lack of help of the housing association to access the roof area and managed to finish the works within the agreed timeframe. There has been a big and pleasant difference in temperature in our home after the change of the boiler and the radiators. This has been specially noticeable after this winter, and the new and more efficient boiler has helped us reduce the energy bills, even if we are using it more often. Can't recommend them enough!

Very reliable company. Very honest. Very fair. They fitted my boiler and a new thermostat. They actually popped back to fully fit the thermostat (it was a device that can be left lying around, but I asked for it to be fitted to the wall), as well as ensure I knew how to use it. Better still, they lowered the initial quote because less work needed doing. So, that's honest thrown in. I have recommended them to friends.

Gareth and his team installed and, a year later, completed a service on a new boiler. Gareth talked me through the options available for a new boiler in a way that was knowledgeable without being patronising. His team were polite, hardworking and very tidy. First up all of the people you deal with at Flush are just very nice, pleasant and know their stuff. Always helps. Most importantly the work is top notch. Thorough, attentive, considerate, and they clean up well afterwards. As I work in property I have access to many gas engineers yet I choose to use Flush when it comes to my own property, which says a lot.

Selected Flush from the Which list of approved installers initially on 23 March 2023 by 21 April 2023 it was completed, time of works was estimated as 3 days and completed by 3.5 days (5 out of a possible 5 ticks in my book). Gareth Evans visited and explained what was possible and listened and answered all my questions of which I had loads. He promised a quotation by the weekend. I have a one-bedroomed flat ex-council flat with an old backboiler and gas fire on the wall. From my shortlist of 3 companies I would say, I had consistent responses within good timescales and that Flush was the best (5 ticks). The quotation was to fit a new boiler and remove cold water tank in the attic, remove excessive pipe work, remove hot water tank in cupboard, closing the hole in the wall behind the gas fire, add an additional radiator to the system and all ancillary works appropriate. The quotation was the most detailed of the quotations I received (5 ticks). At the start of works I was introduced to Paul who started work and worked full-on. By the end of day two Paul was able to leave me with knowledge of how to operate my new system and the heating and hot water were working (5 ticks). Just in time for my hot bath in my toasty warm home, bliss! At the end beginning of the 3rd day, I had a walk-through with Gareth and we discussed the final snagging points. By 13:00hrs I knew how to maintain my warranty and new equipment. Well done from me, thanks again Team Flush.

We have used Gareth and his team for almost 9 years now. They always complete the job within the quote and time agreed. Flush have also been a great help maintaining rental properties including timely response to emergencies. We have always had a professional and courteous service.

We have used Flush 3 years running to service our combi boiler and have always been impressed with the service given. The engineers are knowledgeable and competent. The first time we used them in 2019 Adam was able to fix a longstanding worrying and intermittent fault. Since then our boiler and hot water system has run exceptionally well and we have had no problems with the the boiler Flush has serviced it every year since and have been more than happy all the engineers and their work.

In our old house he personally looked after the boilers and central heating system as it was so complicated (4 light industrial boilers and a swimming pool…) He and his team also renewed the plumbing and pumps to a dilapidated Victorian fountain. I have used Flush Heating and Plumbing for over 10 years. In this period they have maintained and replaced items within my central heating system to a high standard, and also installed a full combi boiler / central heating system in my son's flat during a complete refurbishment. Flush has also completed 3 bathroom installations, 2 in a flat we own in Balham, and third in my son's flat which was re-plumbed from scratch. In each case Flush were a pleasure to deal with; their attention to detail and the quality of their work is excellent (hence the repeat business). Perhaps as important is their customer service; the Director is always available to answer queries, or check on progress, and if there are any difficulties in the project these are honestly discussed and resolved. Each project has been completed to time and to budget, and the management of any sub-contractors is well-managed by the Flush team. I would unhesitatingly recommend Flush for both maintenance / repair jobs and for larger projects. They care about their reputation.

We've just moved into our property and had a dodgy Kitchen tap (with no isolators on either hot or cold). Usually i would have tried to fit this myself but felt under-confident due to no clue about boiler and cut-off valves. Panos knew exactly what to do and when i mentioned that the MegaFlows in these properties were picky about their pressure he made sure to maintain this so no issues would come up there. He removed the old tap, fitted both isolators and fitted the new tap in way less than an hour and I checked it thoroughly afterwards for leakages - all good. Top job. Thanks Panos.

Gareth and his team installed a new combi-boiler at my Victorian property in Clapham. The team arrived on schedule, were highly courteous at all times and kept the property in a tidy and ordered fashion throughout. The installation proceeded with a minimum of fuss and was completed to the agreed specifications, deadline and budget. Having obtained a number of quotes, I found Flush to be very competitively priced. Just prior to the installation, I noticed that an outside water pipe had cracked near to where the boiler flue was to be installed. I mentioned this to Gareth and asked for a quote to repair it. Instead Gareth repaired it free of charge, even though he had to pop back the next day with the relevant parts/fittings, highlighting the importance Flush clearly place on providing great customer service.

Gareth provided me with a written quote to fit my new combi boiler and he kept to it. His men arrived on time and did not keep me waiting. They covered my floor with dust sheets to keep my carpets clean. They took away all the old loft tanks, cylinder and pipes, and left the house clean and tidy. Gareth came back after a few days do check it was OK and make adjustments to my taps and radiators. I would be happy to recommend his company to a friend.

A problem on Friday afternoon that if not resolved would have left us without water over the weekend. When I contacted Flush Heating and Plumbing they promised a plumber that afternoon and he duly arrived and fixed the problem on Friday night. He was efficient and professional and explained in lay mans terms what he was doing. I would have no hesitation in recommending Flush Heating and Plumbing.

Vaillant service, with whom we have a service agreement, serviced our boiler, but because it needed some brackets they turned the gas off and shut down the boiler. They said they didn't do work within the service agreement, we'd have to find someone else to do it. Not content with turning said boiler off at the isolation valve, the engineer had cut out about 8in. of the gas pipe and taken away both that and the Vaillant nut. Flush arrived the next day, assessed and subsequently did the repair and, having had to buy a new Vaillant nut for the boiler, replaced that and the piece of missing gas pipe and completed the job quickly and efficiently. No more Vaillant for us - Flush can do our boiler servicing and work in future.

Whilst it was not an emergency Gareth came back to me very quickly to arrange a date. His man arrived on schedule and was polite and professional throughout my contact with him. He was also tidy and completed the paperwork required to maintain the guarantee on my boiler without me asking. Excellent service and I would recommend Gareth and his team.

I contacted Gareth and his team on a Sunday and he was quick to reply. Within 24hrs we had a new boiler installed. His team came exactly when they said they would and worked very professionally. We had to tidy up a little after they left but they was minimal considering the mess created by the removal of our old boiler. Their price was competitive and I appreciated Gareth’s excellent advice on the best boiler to install.

Very pleased with the company, fast friendly and efficient. Agreed dates, time and price and completed work as promised. We were very happy with our first use of Flush, came out and fixed a heating exchange problem in our bath that was effecting our hot water. Very glad we did as previous company has quoted to go through the wall to fix as could not be done via bathroom - doing it quickly and far cheaper was great. Also filed our cistern which we have continually had problems with - but no more!

The firm responded quickly to my request a job on the heating boiler dropping round to take a look and then arranging the work shortly afterwards. A taciturn man did the job but quietly and efficiently with no fuss. Reasonable price and the company has a nice local feel.

Gareth and Paul did an excellent job on power flushing the seven radiators in my Victorian terrace property in Earlsfield. They were very responsive, communicative and punctual and the radiators are working better than ever. They were keenly priced and there were no hidden extras. I posed a complex repair for Gareth and Paul to solve. They were able to do so in an afternoon working in a confined space. The re-wiring afterwards was the conundrum - differing standards for the original wiring and the newer replacement zone valve - With careful thought and discussion they solved that too. Garath and his team provide a responsive, effective and reliable service. The work is always to tghe highest standard and they are very respectful of domestic environments and always leave site in a clean and tidy condition. I cannot recommend Flush highly enough.

We had only a small problem of a water stain appearing on the ceiling. Gareth identified the issue very quickly and arranged to return within a couple of days to fix. All done with a minimum of fuss and pleasant to deal with.

Used Flush Heating recently when having a problem with the boiler. Gareth and his team (Paul) were extremely helpful and sorted out a big problem we had (freezing house, no hot water and 3 young children !!). The bit that helped most was the honesty and professionalism. It did result in having to have a new boiler but clearly that was the only solution and we didn't have to have a long drawn out process to get to what the required solution was. When it was installed, Paul (the fitter) was great, a Man U fan to boot, and got it filled with some extra bits done as well. An excellent experience.

Gareth came by and gave me a quote for a cracked exterior waste pipe on the Tuesday and by Friday, a new pipe was fitted. Paul the plumber was polite and very tidy and his work was excellent.
