About
At Forbes Tree Care we run a team of highly qualified, experienced tree surgeons working in north London. We can carry out any tree related service you require, including tree pruning, tree felling and tree planting. We provide impartial advice on what’s best for you and your tree.
We are qualified in Professional Tree Inspection (PTI) and trained to use Quantified Tree Risk Assessment (QTRA). We can provide risk assessments and mortgage reports.
We are Associate Members of the Arboricultural Association.
We are fully insured and all our work is carried out to BS3998: 2010 and BS5837: 2012.
Based in North London, Forbes Tree Care Ltd was founded in 2010 by Sean Galton. A passion for conservation was the motivation to form a company that could maintain and care for trees in the urban environment.
We put the environment at the forefront of our work, reducing emissions and reusing tree products wherever possible. We appreciate the importance of safety and trees in the city.

Properly explained process during visit for estimate. Exceptional tree cutter and first rate work carried out by him and his two team companions. Strong protective sheeting laid out in the house. Care was taken moving through the narrow hallway with large amounts of cuttings, and clearing up the garden. Excellent work.

A pleasant team of tree surgeons who arrived promptly to trim two trees and remove ivy. The work was carried out to a professional standard with safety harnesses etc. worn. Branches were taken away and the place left tidy. The agreed schedule and budget was kept.

Sean came round to quote a couple of times as we were being indecisive. He was the only quote we got that was comfortable with grinding out stumps and getting machine through our narrow, long flat. His quote was fair and he did the planning application for us, as we live in a conservation area. He was knowledgeable regarding the local council and impressive. On the day, his team arrived on time and were organised, professional and careful, led by Patrick. They were positive and seemed confident. We have a long, narrow hallway and they had to remove three trees from our garden including grinding out the stumps, and remove all waste through the front door. I was amazed how well they protected our newly refurbished flat (new wooden floors, kitchen and completely renovated) with ease. No damage done. All done in one day and payment terms reasonable. I would recommend this company to anyone. We have had a lot of work done in our home and this lot compare favourably!

We first secured Sean's help with hedges and a pear tree in the garden 8 years ago. He was then a one-man band. Since then he has returned nearly every year to tend the pear tree and a few other trees in our garden. He now has a thriving business and we are pleased his hard work and his love of trees has worked out so successfully. His advice is always reliable. The Forbes Treecare team came and removed a selection of tricky plants from my house - ivy climbers and sharp spikey plants. Sean quoted quickly and efficiently for the task - and the guys came and dispatched the work super-efficinetly, cleanly, and were a pleasure to have working at the house. 100% recommended - a cracking job well done.

The team did a fantastic job on our front trees. They had checked with local council planning and reviewed and advised this in line with our thoughts on how to thin our trees. Really helpful advice on maintenance going forward, they were professional with expert knowledge on caring for trees. Couldn't fault them and they left our property clean of any debris. We are really happy with the work, we would use them again and wouldn't hesitate in recommending them for anyone looking for tree care work.

From the initial consultation with Sean to the work carried out on the day everything was professional and ran smoothly. We had one huge Leylandii reduced in height by 3m, one Leylandii tree cut down and various tree stumps removed. The friendly team which consisted of Alec, Alex and Patrick arrived early and proceeded to complete their jobs efficiently and with consideration to our surrounding neighbours. We are delighted with the outcome as we have more light and our garden looks neat and tidy. We have recommended you already and would not hesitate in using you again!
