Furnish & Co was recommended by a friend who is an interior designer. We met Neal on site and walked through the requirements (fitted wardrobes, fitted drawers and shelves and a laundry cupboard plus pocket doors to match the victorian doors already in our 1850s property). Neal is lovely. No hard sell, he really listens and absorbs what you're saying before sharing 3D drawings which were super helpful in conveying the impact of the furniture on the rooms (which we had never lived in). He had no issue with making changes to the drawings as the design evolved a bit. He contributes his ideas in a gentle way. As the review title makes clear, we are really pleased with the service throughout and with the final product. The quality of the furniture is top notch. The details on the cabinets are really beautiful. We are now discussing library shelving, more wardrobes and no doubt the shopping list will grow. Yet again, Neal is listening to what we would like and making helpful suggestions to come up with something that works for us and the period of the house.

We spent months looking for the perfect Bedroom furniture for our new home with no avail. We knew we wanted a shaker style chest or drawers and bedside tables with soft close drawers and the timeless cornice edges. Nothing we looked came close to our vision until we found Furnish & Co. Neal and his team are excellent, truly excellent. From our initial enquiry, to site survey, design and fitting - everything was seamless and to the highest of standards. We had a few iterations or design until we were both happy, and Neal was incredibly patient with our indecisiveness of colours! It took a few weeks (as expected) for our pieces to be built it was 100% worth the wait. The quality of the furniture is unmatched by anything else in our home. Very pleased with Neal and his team. The prep work leading up to installation was excellent. We were kept well informed throughout. Having moved into a new build with no inbuilt storage and with two attic rooms, Neal measured up and provided plans for bespoke storage using a bifold door system to give easy access to those awkward to reach places. The plans were excellent with Neal taking account of all my requirements. I had the opportunity to change any of the design but this was not needed. I was given choices on the finished look and found Neal's suggestions invaluable. The aesthetics fitted perfectly with the new house and the quality of the materials and craftmanship was exceptional. I was absolutely delighted with the finished product. Neal completed the work to schedule and left the room ready for use.

I had long wanted to reinstate a pair of bi-fold doors that had been ripped out when the original reception room was sub-divided into two smaller rooms, so I was very pleased to have found Neal Lewer of Furnish & Co. The initial confidence that I felt when we first spoke about the project was not misplaced: Neal studied the brief closely and it was reassuring that he questioned aspects of it and the visual references supplied to ensure that there was no misunderstanding the intended design or execution. Not only did Neal show great attention to detail, he also took the time and trouble to explain why things were done in a certain way and made sure that I understood the process. The pride that he takes in his work is obvious, as is his perfectionism. One incident stands out: having spent the best part of a day installing the doors, we noticed that the beading did not quite match those on the adjacent, original doors in the room! The new doors were removed and returned to the workshop; new cutters made and the beading retooled. And all without drama. It has been a great pleasure working with Neal and his team, and I have no hesitation in commissioning future work from him.

This is the second time we have used the company. We were very happy with the wardrobes Neal put in first. The under stairs storage Neal put in was a tricky job involving cupboards and drawers on two fronts. Neal was very helpful in discussion at the design stage and It was a precision job excellently executed. We are very happy customers.

Neil from Furnish & Co is a master-carpenter, a master-craftsman. He offered a trusted-trader masterclass in designing and delivering our fitted bedroom wardrobes. We had a concept idea of what we wanted. Neil was able, through his skill experience, to coach and coax preferred detailing from us. Neil offered a range of woods, veneers, paints and finishes. We started off getting to know Neal and how he works, we had no plan as to design or wood so after a few meetings we knew Neal was ready to start on our projects. Dealing with Neal and Helen at Furnish & Co has been a pleasure from start to finish, nothing was too much trouble and they actually called me to advise that they would be a day late in starting as they were waiting for some doors to arrive. We were amazed at the quality of workmanship on some remakes of old warped kitchen doors and drawer fronts. we have since had some doors that needed remoulding, what a great service, we were kept informed of time scale, cost, materials used ect, Very happy with every aspect of these jobs completed.

We have been really pleased with Neal’s craftsmanship. He previously Made a dressing room for us, so we didn’t hesitate to ask him to do more work for us. He has an eye for detail & seems to understand exactly what we want. He has a good team of electricians, plumbers & painters. I commissioned Neal at Furnish & Co to make a large bespoke coffee table for my son, who had just moved into his first property. This table was based on a coffee table I owned. The end result was more than we could ever have hoped for... This table was truly a work of art, my son and I were 'blown away' by the attention to detail, which was wholly impressive and the dedication that was instilled in this table, one could tell,was made with love. I was so impressed by this table I asked Neal to make me three bookcases. Two for my living room and one for my bedroom, yet again, I was overwhelmed by the look of the bookcases, the work that has gone into making them and the beauty of the bookcases, they fitted into their respective places and looked incredible... The furniture that Neal and his team make could NEVER ever be bettered. This is the second time Neal has delivered a great result for us. Following on from fitting wardrobes, Neal designed and fitted two floating-style bedside cabinets in the same room which complemented their style and colour. Brilliant, helpful advice and contact throughout. Neal was able to shape the cabinets supports so that they fitted around our skirting boards beautifully.

Neal and his team fitted our 12 internal oak doors last week. From the initial consultation to installation the service has been outstanding. This is the third project that Neal has undertaken for us. The other 2 projects were considerably larger and I wondered whether this smaller job would be something that Neal would be happy to undertake. The work this time involved fitting a small unit with shelves above supplying a bedside cabinet and replacing wardrobe doors in a small bedroom. Neal was as always very helpful suggesting suitable colours and materials. We decided to amend the original plan after Neal had spent some time working on it. He happily came for a second visit and amended the original plan as always full of innovative and helpful ideas resulting in exactly what I wanted. We contacted Neal when we decided to replace a free-standing wardrobe with fitted ones. He responded quickly to our initial enquiry and was happy to fit around our working hours to come and discuss possibilities with us. He gave really helpful advice and even suggested an extra visit when he wanted to ensure that we had made the most appropriate choice for door handles (we hadn't!). Furnish and Co replaced all the hinges on 24 fire doors (72 hinges) as the previous hinges were not up to standard and wearing badly. They kept to the agreed schedule and budget. They arrived on time and worked throughout each day. They were friendly, tidy and worked methodically throughout our house. We were hardly aware of their presence and what might have been an ordeal was almost a pleasure. The standard of workmanship was 1st class and we were glad again that we had chosen a company from trusted traders. Furnish and Co built some bespoke fitted bookshelves and desks for us. It was to our design but Neal offered helpful tips and advice and spent time discussing the options. He is clearly keen to give satisfaction and make sure you get exactly what you want, and not just sell you more. The work was carried out to a very high level and meticulous attention to detail. They worked very hard to get it complete in one day but it was never rushed and they checked various details with us to make sure we were happy. They obviously take pride in their work and rightly so.

Neal has designed, made and fitted three sets of fitted wardrobes, a walk in wardrobe, a study and a headboard for us. The walk in wardrobe and one set of wardrobes were in the loft with tricky eaves to deal with including access into an under eaves storage area. The process from start to finish was excellent. Neal designed everything and made great suggestions to fit our budget and preferences. He didn’t push the most expensive option, unlike most others (quite the opposite) and made the very best use of space (especially in the loft). He was clear with the lead time (which was very reasonable) and stuck to it will the installations. The design drawings were very helpful and he made a number of small tweaks for us to get to our perfect design. They were so clean and careful whilst fitting, they were the only tradesmen we have allowed to work in our house without us being present. The quality of the wardrobes and fitting was brilliant and the price was very reasonable. We would highly recommend Neal and Furnish and Co, you will not be disappointed.

I have hated the staircase area in my house for years. It was dark and shabby and quite frankly was a bit depressing. Furnish and co have transformed this area into a thing of beauty that transforms the whole area. Neal helped us to design what we wanted and then delivered exactly what he said he would. He also fitted in the extra works we asked for. His team were very professional and the area was kept clean and tidy throughout the works . We found Neal and Helen to be very professional throughout the process and the bookcases were installed ahead of schedule with no issues.
