GS Roofing did everything they said on the tin. Their work was done on time and on budget. They were a pleasure to deal with and i would recommend them without hesitation

I found GS Roofing through the National Federation of Roofing Contractors. After contacting several companies who were not interested in fixing a leaking glass roof on a house extension I was delighted to speak to Stephanie Strank who sent a surveyor to assess the job within three days of my call. An estimate followed two days later and a date (4 September) was confirmed to carry out the work. The two roofers who turned up on the due date were efficient and pleasant and the job was completed the same day. The work was done to the agreed schedule and budget. I cannot speak too highly of GS Roofing. They will be my first port of call if I ever have another roofing problem.

GS Roofing are a well-known, long-established family-run business in the Wimbledon area where I've lived for 30+ years. Their vans and lorries are a familiar sight on local roads. I had damp coming into a top-floor bedroom around the chimney breast. As I have a 3-storey Victorian townhouse, I wanted someone I could trust to do a proper and thorough job the first time around to avoid the inconvenience and risk of expensive scaffolding going up again later to fix remedial issues. GS Roofing were a natural choice to replace the old flat roof, as well as installing bigger front guttering, replacing decorative bargeboards and other smaller jobs. They did a superb, really neat job to a high standard that I am very happy with. They turned up when they said they would, were polite, respectful and tidy and kept me updated on progress and timelines. It was a pleasure to have them work on the house.

GS Roofing - recommendation by a neighbour - to identify the cause of water ingress of a 3 storey house. Mark, the surveyor visited quickly after my enquiry, able to identify the possible cause and repair to be carried out with a quote. This was provided in writing and Mark was happy to answer my questions which made me feel comfortable that GS Roofing was the right company to undertake the repair. GS Roofing also provided a 3 year guarantee. The workmen - scaffolders and roofers - work for GS Roofing which is great because I only had to deal with Mark to organise times for scaffolding and repairs. They took photographs of the before and after so I could send to my Insurers to determine if any of the repair was covered by insurance. The workmen were polite and professional. They arrived on time, did the repair in a day. There is no external rear access - had to come in the house to access the rear - they were careful and tidy. I was comfortable giving them keys whilst I continued with my work. Good recommendation.

I had huge confidence in GS Roofing to remedy a leak coming from a shared chimney stack which had entered our kitchen ceiling. The rain earlier this year was relentless, and I was told by Stephanie from the office that there were a lot of inquiries from callers who were asking for emergency call outs. Despite this, she kindly arranged an early visit. Two levels of the chimney stack were both repaired and new lead flashing replaced. There were some other repairs that were made on the flat roof which were also remedied. I am very satisfied with all these repairs and would be very happy to recommend GS Roofing. A lovely family-run business with professional, highly skilled roofing experts.

I found GS Roofing (London) Ltd. through Which? Trusted Traders. The initial survey was carried out by Gordon Strank, the firm's Director, and I received a written estimate for the works to be done shortly thereafter. After comparing and weighing up prices and reviews against those of other roofers, I accepted their estimate to rebed the gables at the front of my house, replace broken and missing tiles, and repoint all the ridge tiles. The firm has it's own scaffolding and so they were able to erect, and then after completion of the work, dismantle and remove the scaffolding quickly. The roofers were quick and thorough. I am very happy with the finished result - they all took pride in their work, and were helpful and professional and a pleasure to do business with. I noted that the firm's Director, Gordon Strank, kept an overview of the works, with an eye for detail. The firm is insured and is particular about the safety of it's staff, which I applaud. My roof and gables are now wind and watertight and the area has been left clean and tidy. I am very satisfied with their work and would have no hesitation in recommending this firm.

Next door neighbours had common chimney stack removed, but the repair on our side had been very badly done. G. S. Roofing completely replaced the felt, tiles, flashing and gutter. They also cleaned the roof of moss and checked it. An excellent, neat job that was all done in one day. I will definitely use them again.

We called G S Roofing having found them on this site. We needed a slipped tile replaced. They attended for the quote at the agreed time, and gave us a good quote. They then attended and carried out the work efficiently. Cannot recommend them enough. Friendly speedy and reasonably priced service.

I can highly recommend GS Roofing. They removed 2 chimney stacks and carried out repairs to another one and I am very pleased with their work. Gordon gave me very good advice and offered options for the repair work. He is a "hands-on" boss, who goes out of his way to help and I really appreciated this. Stephanie runs the office and she is extremely efficient, communicates well and is a real pleasure to deal with. They are a well-established company and I can confirm they deserve their good reputation. They will give you a fair price, helpful advice, good support and do a thoroughly professional job. Would I use them again - yes definitely!

Gordon Strank was one of several roofers I asked to visit, quote and identify the problems of a roof which was still leaking after a previously recommended trader had installed a new one, but which had failed to remedy the problems. I had various quotes and suggested solutions, but G.S. Roofing were very convincing and quoted a good price. Additionally, Mr Strank was so adamant that his work would rectify the water ingress that I had been suffering for 3 years, that he insisted he wouldn't take payment until I was satisfied the leaks had been addressed. I had previously had 2 other roofers trying to remedy the problems, including the one that wrongly advised getting the new roof (and who then never rectified the situation). I was beginning to despair and water had started to flood into one of the bedrooms. I was also very sceptical that this would ever be satisfactorily resolved. It is now nearly a year later and G.S. Roofing's repairs do indeed seem to have fixed the problems. It has taken me a long time to fully trust that this is the case, after all my previous experiences, but so far so good. A big thank you to Mr Gordon Strank. Work carried out was new leading to the ridge, dressed into the brickwork and building up flaunching to a chimney stack with bedding in clay cowling.
