Leaf And Lawn

This is the second time I have used Leaf and Lawn. Gareth listens to what you want, makes suggestions so a plan can be agreed. Gareth and his men arrived on the agreed date and time. All work was completed within the time frame to an excellent standard. The works, over the two jobs, included clearing the old sheds, new fencing, laying flagstones and artifical grass, building raised beds and tree pollarding. The men working were polite, cleared up daily and checked that the work was what I wanted. Would certainly use them again.

On a visit the week before on Gareth commented on the state of the path and decking and said he could clean it. I said OK and Gareth came and made the path and decking almost like new. Really efficient and a great job. Thanks.

Gareth came round initially to consult about the work to be completed, had great knowledge of fences & the trees to be cut, & then came early to complete it with his fantastic, friendly, hard-working & professional team. The fence panels are of a high quality & super sturdy with extra wood to secure them together at the top. They are smart & include boards below the fence to cover all areas. The trees have been trimmed well, my roses & trellis secured, old panels & all rubbish removed, as well as another fence secured & stump removed! A great job completed, a very happy customer!

Gareth and his team worked very hard to give us a spotless patio, and they put up a trellis above our fence, along with new garden gates, and removed some bamboo. They were reliable, polite, and hard-working at all times, and we would definitely use them again.

Gareth and the team put in fence supports, removed two dead trees and trimmed bushes in the back and front gardens. I have used Gareth's services several times. He communicates well and is always very helpful and friendly. He talks you through estimates and is always good at overcoming unexpected obstacles when completing a job. He had to leave a brace on one of the fence posts and returned in the evening to remove it once the concrete had dried. I have always found him to be totally reliable. He does what he says he will do when he says he will do it. I recommend him very highly.

Gareth and team assessed the situation and the gardens being at different levels and the existing fence slightly bowed in places. They came up with a clever and affordable solution, including using gravel boards at the bottom on the lower level, and additional posts. As soon as this was agreed, they got on with the job and completed it efficiently and quickly, leaving a neat fence which is much straighter than the old one and the whole site tidy. The team were competent, effective and professional throughout and a pleasure to deal with.

We had a broken electric gate. Gareth agreed to come over, arrived at the stated time and fixed it! A fantastic job - thanks very much, Gareth!

We were keen to sort out an unkempt part of our garden, which involved removing an old shed, cutting down trees, and replacing a broken fence. We have been impressed with the service provided by Gareth and team from start to finish. Friendly, knowledgeable and helpful, a professional service.

Gareth and his team worked to reinforce our fence after a few posts had gone rotten. Gareth explained the options we had, and helped us find a cost effective solution that solved our problem. The work itself was done quickly and to a high standard.

We'd used Gareth previously to reinforce a couple of wooden fence posts that were in need of support. This was a more cost efficient solution proposed by Gareth as the fence panels were fine and disruption was minimised. Given the success of this previous job we again used Gareth for a further post in another part of the garden. As before, communication was excellent and we were happy with the completed job.

We needed the shade created by neighbouring trees dealt with. Gareth's quote was extremely fair, & although we had some initial confusion around the date of the job, all was resolved without absolutely no fuss. They arrived promptly, carried out the work making sure to liaise with our neighbour, who owned the trees, & cleared up fully. Would certainly recommend as the work was carried out to our satisfaction, and Gareth & colleague were extremely friendly to deal with - & we now have much more light!

Leaf and Lawn did a great job for me installing my new fence panels. Gareth & Tom arrived when he said they would. They are a lovely polite hard working team. Even when they were nearly finished, I decided to have another panel change, it was not a problem. Gareth just went to get another one, while Tom took the old panel down ready for the new one. Leaf and Lawn did a great job installing a sturdy wooden shed base over uneven ground at the bottom of our garden. Gareth supplied a reasonable quote, arrived when he said he would and completed everything on schedule.

Gareth and his team have done a number of jobs for me over the years, and I've also been involved in hiring him to do work for a management company for our street which I help to run. The fact that I keep going back to him for garden, tree and fence work ought to speak for itself. The work is always done with great care and professionalism, the options are always discussed thoroughly and he makes sure that what he proposes is the best solution for what the client requires. This particular job involved tackling the challenge posed by a fir tree in my back garden which, over a decade, had gone completely out of control and was blocking light to the house as well as preventing other plants from flourishing in the garden and generally just dominating the small space in a way that made it less pleasant to use. I was reluctant to just chop it down, but Gareth came up with an inventive solution that's left the lower parts in place and has effectively turned it into a bush, which is to a scale that makes much more sense in the small garden and will be easy for me to manage. He also cleaned flagstones and decking, making the whole space so much more airy and bright, with the result that I know I'll want to make much better use of it when the weather warms up this spring and summer. And he strengthened a fence that was starting to show signs of potential failure due to recent high winds. All was done quickly, efficiently and in a very friendly manner. Superb.

Gareth is a very hardworking man. I have experienced bad workmanship before. Gareth was genuine and explained the work in laments terms. I could tell from the start, that he had a worth of experience. Did not push me to order extra items. He advised me on my options. He was very transparent in his delivery of the fantastic service that he provided. The job in question, that he carried out, is wonderful. The guys who worked with him were hard-working, so polite and respectful of me, my family and the property. Despite it being cold outside, they all carried on. I recommend Gareth 100%. Thank you.

From start to finish Gareth and his team carried out the agreed work from the quote to completion. They removed all the garden waste and left the garden tidy. They were considerate to us and our neighbours. They covered our ponds to protect them and checked with us regularly on what we wanted. They were polite and respectful and we wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Had our back garden gate repaired. Really appreciated the flexibility of Leaf and Lawn - when they arrived, they realised that their original plan for repair would not work due to a rotten gate post, but quickly adapted. Also, they kindly noticed a fence mis-aligned which they screwed in without charge. Very friendly and courteous. I would highly recommend them.

Gareth and Tom of Leaf and lawn recently completed a 2 stage project involving erecting new fencing and tree surgery in both our front and rear gardens. Work was completed on time and to an agreed quotation. We relied heavily on their knowledge and experience to execute our wishes. Gareth and Tom did an amazing job. My garden was very overgrown and needed a lot of work. They cut all the bushes back, removed the old grass (mostly weeds), cleared the block paving, dismantled and cleared an old shed, built a new concrete shed base, and laid turf. They worked quickly and efficiently, tidied up each evening, provided plenty of aftercare advice, and are lovely people. The quote was delivered the day after Gareth visited and was clearly itemised. I had a couple of questions, which Gareth answered the same day. Work started 2 weeks later, and everything was completed in the estimated time. I have no hesitation in recommending the business, and will definitely use them again if I need more work in the future.

This was a matter of clearing an area (approx.150 sq.metres) which had become desperately overgrown, whilst leaving certain features intact and unharmed. Leaf and Lawn did exactly what they said they would do whilst adding in (after consultation and within the original quote) two or three small features which much improved the effect. They began exactly on time and finished well within the envisaged time-frame. They liaised to everybody's satisfaction with our neighbours, who at one point (because of overhanging boughs) had a direct interest in what was going on. The arrival of equipment and materials was so smoothly managed that we hardly noticed it happening. Mr. Thomson's obvious enthusiasm, interest in detail, and his attention to the convenience and wishes of the customer actually made the whole experience fun. In summary: this was not just good, but outstandingly good work. Rarely, if ever, have I felt that money had been better spent.
