I had a visit from Nick from Glenfield Electrical in response to my query on facebook. From the first visit the approach was different. I was listened to and a system was designed to meet my needs rather than what the company felt I should have. The price quoted was fair from the start. Nick left information and the quote with me and I was able to study this and make lots of queries over time until I was happy. All my questions were answered and nothing was too much trouble. There was no pressure. This made my decision easy as for the first time I felt reassured and comfortable to proceed. I paid my deposit. The excellent service continued. I was visited a project manager who checked everything planned was on track. I was given the names of the installers and the date and time of when they would arrive. This date needed to be changed due to bad weather but I was given plenty of notice and another date arranged. The team arrived on time and introduced themselves. They were polite, efficient and easy to talk to. They were tidy workers and did an excellent job taking only one day. They were easy to talk to and answered all my silly questions. The aftercare has been prompt and efficient. I had problems with accessing the app and I had a visit and lots of time given to me to explain again how it worked. I cannot fault the company. They are geared to making sure the customer is happy. I would definitely recommend Glenfield Solar to anyone.

Martin installed our Hypervolt Pro very tidily and efficiently and left us with the Installation Guide, cautioning us to follow the steps very carefully. It quickly became very clear that this guide was actually for the installer him/herself and not the customer. A QR code led me to the installer app (needing an account opening) and quickly ended on a test installation page (or word to that effect). 2 immediate error messages--completely incomprehensible to anyone without the relevant qualifications and experience--and certainly no links to follow to resolve the problem. Hypervolt responded very quickly--but resolving the problem was quite a hassle. Firstly, I needed the Hypervolt App (not the installer's app which I'd been taken to via the QR code and I was told to follow). And because I'd already opened an account for the installer app it wouldn't let me use my email address to open an account to install the right app. Then I needed an ID number from the body of the charger itself. Tiny lettering, underneath the body and up beneath the front of the charger body. There was not enough light to take a photo--so I ended up lying on the ground with a torch and pen and paper. It's sorted--but it really shouldn't have been necessary--and if I'd been desperate to recharge the car it would have been much more than just a hassle. So my advice is to use Glenfield Electrical for this job, but don't let them leave without completing the full Handover to Customer page (p34 of installation guide)

Remedial work follow on from an Electrical Installation Condition Report

I was concerned about the quality of electrics on my recent house purchase so had Glenfield Electrical carry out an Electrical Installation Condition Assessment. This identified a number of issues which needed to be improved. After another site visit to discuss the details of what needed doing I received a prompt quote for the work. The two electricians (Marcin and Maddi) arrived on time and quickly got to work fitting & repositioning a new consumer unit, checking & rectifying incorrect ring main wiring, fitting new flush mounted sockets, plus many other minor items - even some that weren't on the original work order. At all times they were polite & tidy and took the time to explain things when questioned. I will certainly use them again.

Fantastic company, would never use another electrician if we had any choice in the matter! This was a relatively simple fault (turned out to be a faulty socket) but the electricians came, assessed the issue and fixed it with a smile. What more can you ask for? This is the second time we've called them, the first was 7 years ago to the day almost, we called in a panic as nothing on a particular section of the kitchen was working (including the freezer). They came, analysed and spent about half an hour trying to figure out how our weird (very old) electrical system worked but they got it done, fixed the issue.. and if I remember rightly, didn't charge us extra for taking a bit longer to figure out the issue. When we had the problem the other week we remembered them and called - would totally recommend them to anyone, especially anyone feeling a bit vulnerable or unsure (this was me, I'm deaf, and I know nothing about electrics except you plug things in at the wall and pay the electric company!)

A representative called round on the due date as promised and provided a quotation immediately on returning to the office. A time and date for carrying out the work was agreed upon acceptance of the quotation. The fitter arrived on time and replaced ceiling mounted fan in the main bathroom and a light and fan inside the shower in the en suite bathroom exactly as requested. The whole customer experience and service was excellent and the newly installed products work to perfection. It is the second time that Glenfield Electricals have done work for us and, as in the first instance, their customer service and work has been impeccable.
