Since 1928 Hadley & Ottaway has been a household name for removals, and in particular removals in Norwich. With 90 years experience, carrying out careful shipping, removals and storage services for some of the most discerning clients. No job is too big or too small for our team of expert removals staff.
At Hadley & Ottaway, everyone cares about your move. Many of the removals and office staff have been with the company for years and really understand just how important it is for removal companies to make sure that everything goes smoothly with your relocation. Our experience means that we can make moving home or office as seamless as possible, relieving you of any stress or worry during the moving period.
Our head office is based in the East Anglia region - this is the centre of operations as there is a dedicated training room, where new recruits and 'old hands' learn to pack delicate porcelain, barometers, grandfather clocks and pianos.

We have moved several times over the years however we have never had such excellent service. The removal men were friendly, professional and very kind. The whole move was organised really well and the company made it as least stressful as possible. The men were polite and always attentive. Each item was carried in with care and placed in the correct room or place. Our move lasted for 2 days but it was made to seem relatively effortless. We are still impressed. We can totally recommend this company. They collected our boxes after the move and as usual arrived on time and were totally polite and pleasant.

I was very pleased with my experience with Hadley & Ottaway. All the way through from the quote stage to completion of the job everything happened just as they said it would. Moving is a very stressful time and anything that can help reduce the stress is welcomed and they certainly did that for me. They delivered ample boxes in plenty of time for us to pack. Our home was uplifted on time and arrived at the other end unscathed and we had enough time to unpack before they arranged collection of the boxes. All the staff were very helpful right the way through too. I couldn't ask for any more.

The guys from Hadley & Ottaway moved our belongings from Papworth Everard to Witney as agreed. They turned up bang on time and got down to loading up right away. Everything went as promised and we were on our way in 2 hours from arrival. The guys worked impressively hard and took great care to ensure that our furniture etc was properly taken care of. They were helpful all the way throughout and we couldn't have wished for a better bunch. The same at the other end when unloading in Witney. Just a really good hassle free experience and not expensive either. They made us feel comfortable from start to finish. We highly recommend them and wish to thank them for making the day as uncomplicated as possible. Just goes to show you get what you pay for. Smartly dressed, pleasant and friendly and very efficient. What else is there to say? If you are looking for a brilliant removal company this is the one to go for

We were certainly not looking forward to leaving our very personal, unique, family home of 40 years, and dreading the experience. However, the Hadley & Ottaway team made what could have been a 'disaster day' into a much less stressful time than I could have ever imagined. They worked extremely well as a team, providing full support, advice and guidance as the day progressed. Their lively banter between the team members, and with ourselves, made it a much better experience and lifted our spirits immensely. Even when everything was loaded and we received bad news from our solicitors that clearance was still awaited to commence moving in to our new property the team provided support and, once given the go ahead, upped their 'team spirit, speed and efficiency' even more ensuring that we ended the day knowing it had been successful and had a bed to sleep in!! Many thanks to our team!!

We had a number of changes to the timing of our move (the problem was exchange of contracts only 3 days before completion) but the company moved some resources around to ensure that our move could go ahead. I was most worried about my piano but the team moved everything exactly as they said they would. They were all very personable guys and good to work with. We had a little delay getting the keys to the new house but they were not phased and completed the job to my entire satisfaction. Maybe I could have got the job done cheaper but not to the standard that I received, so worth every penny to me. Thank you Hadley and Ottoway.

Excellent removal company, couldn't fault them. They had three floors to contend with, with a huge amount of stuff on the floor. The move was over three days was very organised, minimal stress, guys worked very hard and just got on with it. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a good reliable removal service.

Why would I go anywhere else if we were not more than pleased with their service. On time, well prepared, neat, clean, and courteous and polite staff. TVs, mirrors and pictures wrapped and packed carefully. Wardrobe boxes supplied for all hanging clothes. Front door protected as we're all carpets and floors. We have one more move planned so guess who we will go to.
