Prior to our move on the 11th October we had an estimator arrive to assess the quantity of the move. In the lead up to the move 90 boxes duly arrived for us to pack! On the day of the move we were greeted by the two man team who worked efficiently through the packing and loading process: this included the careful packing of our china and glassware. The two man team were both courteous and professional throughout. They advised that it would be approximately two and a half hour journey to our destination. After this two and a half hour journey to our destination they still maintained their professional and courteous approach regarding the unloading of our possessions. We could not fault their diligence and hard work during the course of the move to our new home. We would happily recommend Hadley & Ottaway to anyone seeking to move house.

The team at Hadley and Ottoway delivered outstanding service from beginning to end of my house move. They were in constant communication with me and the process was simple and smooth from first booking the move date, to the consultant coming to give a quotation, through to the house move day. On move out day, the team were professional, polite, friendly and communicative throughout, in fact they were joy to have with us all day! After the move I received an email to make sure the move had taken place well and all was fine. I would definitely recommend Hadley and Ottoway to anyone moving house.

Staff from Hadley and Ottaway were with us for 3 days, packing up some of our belongings to go into storage, packing up and then moving us with the rest. From the minute we made contact with Hadley and Ottaway for a quote, to the day they came back to collect empty boxes from our new home the service was outstanding. So professional in everything they do. The lads that were with us for the three days were knowledgeable, professional and fun. The move went so smoothly and made what could have been a stressful few days into a calm and happy experience. Our possessions were treated with respect from the valuable antiques to the cutlery! Would so very highly recommend Hadley and Ottaway.

Hadley & Ottaway have moved us twice the most recent being 2nd February. In addition, we have also used their storage facility. We had some difficult times before completing our new house purchase on the 2nd February and during that time Hadley staff were so supportive and flexible. Could not recommend this company high enough.

Moving house can be a very stressful experience, a key part of which is transporting your possessions safely and cost-effectively. It is critical that you pick a reliable firm to relieve the worries of doing so. I chose Hadley & Ottaway (H & O), based in Watton, Norfolk. Following a visit from Chris Howlett, Senior Sales Executive, I received a sensibly priced quotation for my family’s move. Based on Chris’ assessment of items to be moved I was provided with appropriate packing materials and details of the proposed move. Like so many moves competition can be difficult to predict and ensuring your movers can meet your completion date is extremely stressful. Darren and the office staff at H & O ensured we were able to move on time. Ross and a team of four were absolutely superb in moving us. Throughout the operation, they were exceptionally careful, thorough, happy to accept changes, quick and cheerful. No property was damaged. I thoroughly recommend Hadley & Ottaway, an excellent firm, to move you.

It is over sixteen years since we last used Hadley and Ottaway to carry out our house move and before that in nineteen eighty three. That must say something about our experience of the well organised and smooth operation which characterises the way Hadley and Ottaway perform. There was, once again, excellent communication and a willingness to be adaptable especially once exchange and completion dates were on the table. Packing materials arrived in good time for us to start on the mammoth box filling and part of that adaptability was exemplified by providing us with an extra pair of hands to pack pictures on removal day. We were delighted with the way Steve and his team worked on day one so that on day two tasks of garage and garden clearing were accomplished in comfortable time. It was a little disconcerting to see both vans leave for our next property destination while we waited for the green light of completion confirmation. By the time we arrived they had already virtually completed the garden/garage off load. They steadily filled up our new home with boxes, pictures and furniture and were instrumental in enhancing contact with our new neighbour - she very kindly made tea/coffee for all of us. Overall the team worked hard, were always attentive and with good humour at all times. Steve may have had some concerns about schedule overrun but we are truly grateful for excellent planning from start to finish. Quick to collect the packing materials after moving and no breakages. A mastermind removals.

We had you move house for us, the general service was good but the Piano was not correctly wrapped as we were told it was going to be and was damaged during the move. A grandfather clock was also damaged. We see the clock fall over and the staff admitted this. They have not admitted to damaging the Piano so I can't even get the insurance to pay for the damage. I will be pursuing a claim through the courts if need be but this is not my prefered choice.

Our move was done on the two hottest days of the year. The crew worked tirelessly and uncomplainingly, particularly as the location of our house in Norwich meant everything had to be carried an extra 40 yards. Everything was delivered as requested and without any damage. There were several delays in the build up to the move, including a postponement and a late cancellation which cost us, but was obviously not the fault of the firm. The crew were helpful and pleasant throughout, and anxious to ‘get it right’, always asking if there was any doubt about where something was to go. On arrival at the new house, they had to wait nearly three hours while the estate agents managed to establish that the keys should be released. Again, they did this without complaint. We have no complaints whatsoever about the service Hadley and Ottaway provided.

We used Hadley and Ottaway for 5 months storage and then removal out of county. They were very polite, highly efficient and the removal men were extremely helpful. They were a really reasonable price for the work they did. The were great with the dog and the children. Very hard working firm. Highly recommend.

We have used 3 other Norfolk based removals firms in recent years with a poor experience each time. When the first representative of Hadley & Ottaway came to quote for the work we both felt confident they would do a good job without any damage etc. So when the quote came in at significantly less than some of the others we jumped at the chance to give them a try. They provided loads of boxes and packing for free, the team who helped us move were very polite, friendly and helpful and it all went like clockwork. After we had finished unpacking they even came and collected all the boxes and packing from us as well. We will definetely be using H&O next time we move

I would highly recommend Hadley & Ottaway. From start to finish they were nothing but professional and their team of lads on the day of the move were just fabulous and put us at ease and actually made the move a really enjoyable experience. Having moved ourselves 4 times in the previous 2 years we know what hard, back braking work it is, so we were very happy for someone else to do it this time and so appreciative of them. Nothing was too much trouble and they took great care of our possessions and before they left even asked if we wanted anything moving from any of the rooms to somewhere else. We first used Hadley and Ottoway in May 2017, when they moved us from Downham Market to Watton. This time we moved from Watton to Little Fransham, so went straight to Hadley and Ottoway as they had provided an excellent service previously. They emptied out our old house very quickly, and then there was a wait until the keys were available in the new house. They waited without complaint, and finished the job off very quickly once we could get into the house. I would recommend them, and would use them again should the occasion arise.

The whole process of moving with H&O was very professional and efficient. I would use them again and/or recommend to others.

We cannot praise this company and its staff too highly. Ours was a substantial move (approx 200 boxes) and H&O handled it well; on schedule and without hassle. They are professional, methodical, careful and cheerful. Moving is stressful, but H&O's people reduced the pressure! The men who carried out the move were a joy to work with; thorough, considerate and good-humoured. They did a great job for us, and we would certainly use H&O again.

I can't recommend this removals company highly enough, from start to finish the service they provided was absolutely exceptional. Thanks also to the team on move day you were absolute professionals nothing was too much, you helped reduce stress and couldn't have been more helpful. Bunce, Shaun and Mark you all amazed us I again can't praise you all highly enough, I know we wouldn't have managed without you and I highly recommend to all.

We had lived in the same house for 46 years, so moving was emotionally and physically quite a big deal for us. Our son had worked for Hadley and Ottaway when he was a student, so we knew the company proved good staff training and maintained high standards. I can honestly say that the team surpassed our expectations. They were very efficient, helpful, flexible and had a good sense of humour which made the whole thing far less stressful than we had anticipated. Highly recommended!

A business is only as good as its weakest team of operatives . On our removal day we experienced the most appalling service from this company. Moving home is regarded as one of life's most stressful events and the low standard of service we experienced from this companies operatives just had to be seen to be believed. We are well past the date of the actual removal but some of the consequences will remain with us long term and the management team showed little concern at all. We complained to WHICH and they sent us a form relating to a construction project! That says a lot about them too.

Picked up the furniture on the Friday and delivered on the Monday afternoon. Very professional and courteous. Covered the floors with mats especially in our new place with cream carpets. Every time I emailed the office to keep them updated re exchange dates, they always replied quickly. We could not fit a large removal van on the road we were moving out of so they used a smaller van to transport our goods. Excellent service and a very competitive quote. Would recommend.

Hadley and Ottoway moved me into a two bed bungalow. They had to go in through the garage and via the narrow kitchen door. Nothing was too much trouble for them They covered the new carpet on the way in and also the door. Everything was done professionally, loading the lorry was no problem and they listened to where I wanted things put. Nice and friendly and very positive attitude. I was very pleased with their work. Everything was done to the agreed schedule and the preliminary meeting went well with good communication from the firm.

Hadley & Ottaway moved us from Essex to Norfolk. From the initial in person visit from Chris to quote for the work, we felt we were in safe hands. We were not disappointed in any aspect of the move. All of the team worked very hard, and remained friendly and cheerful throughout the three days despite challenging weather. Hadley and Ottaway undertook our move very professionally, we decided to pack our selves. Hadley and Ottaway, provided the packing materials a week before the move, there was more than enough, however if we required more we were informed to let them know. On the day of the move they arrived at 0700 and started moving our items straight away. They provided wardrobe boxes on the day of the move, as they made up the boxes they gave them to my wife to load. The staff of Hadley and Ottaway were very professional and polite, they took good care of the flooring ensuring that carpets were covered both on the out and the in. They took good care of our furniture and loading the boxes. After all our items had been loaded into the vehicles the team left the property, after we had completed a thorough check to ensure nothing had been left behind. The senior member of staff provided us with his mobile phone number, so that we could contact him once all monies from the sale and purchase had gone through. Once we received the keys to our new property we contacted the member of staff to inform him. They were at the new property within 10 minutes, it only took them 2 hours to unload the two vehicles. After the move, once we had emptied all the packing boxes, we gave them a call to come and collect them, which they did within two days. It is good that they reuse as much of the packing material as possible, which saves going to landfill.

Despite late changes of move date and uncertainty of when the new-build would be completed, the 3-day house move, including packing, went as smoothly as possible. From the initial contact with Darren, through the necessary admin steps, to the move itself, everything was first class. The fact that the cost was the lowest of five quotes is a welcome added bonus.

H&O were endorsed by our estate agents and I can see why. Every single aspect of the move was faultless. Punctual, pleasant, knowledgeable, caring, efficient and excellent value. If you need removals I strongly advise you to give Hadley and Ottaway a call. You won’t be disappointed!

I would 100% recommend Hadley & Ottaway to you. We had a complicated move as we had to break our chain and go into storage. Plans changed frequently, but Darren and his team always accommodated the changes with patience and understanding. I would use the over used phrase of "they when above and beyond" but they really did. We moved 6 hours away, the load from our house into storage and then to our new home was very smooth and professional. All of the delivery men were obviously happy in their work, friendly and so helpful. As I say, 100% recommended.
