Our indoor poolhouse outbuilding suffered extensive damage from a leaking roof. However we were at a loss as to the cause and extent of issues in the roof and therefore how to go about fixing it. Even though Harrington Builders, who built two extensions for us in the past, were extremely busy on other major projects, they took time out to come out to us to investigate and help us understand the nature and extent of the problem, and to advise us on the best course of action to resolve the issues and because of them we are now on the right track to get the problems fixed properly. We are very grateful to Harrington Builders for going above and beyond as usual and for being Builders we could trust.

We were delighted at being able to secure Harrington Builders for the next stage of our home improvements which was a front garage extension. Again, from start to finish it was a pleasure dealing with the team all of whom were friendly, considerate and courteous and always left the site clean and tidy. The finished result was of the very high quality we have become used to from Stuart and his team and we particular love the way they preserved the original character of the house in the finished aesthetics. We would highly recommend Harrington Builders, and hope to secure them again in the future when we get round to our stage 3 indoor swimming pool project.

We love the new kitchen/dining/living extension to our home built by the team to the very high standards we hoped for. What we originally expected would be a stressful few months actually turned out to be an enjoyable and memorable experience due to the much appreciated customer-oriented approach from the management of our project start to finish. The whole team were friendly, courteous and considerate of our whole family throughout - a pleasure to have about. We would recommend them highly.

Had our master bedroom & ensuite bathroom completely gutted & redone, including bespoke wardrobes etc. Really high quality finish & a lovely team. Any problems that arose were resolved without problems, & they were great at cleaning up every night. Very happy. We have used them for several projects in the past, and wouldn’t go to anyone else.

Excellent workmanship, very professional and helpful bunch of workmen. Excellent suggestions for improving general look and sub contracted plasterers did an amazing job. Will definitely use them again.

Stuart and team are delightful bunch to have in your home not to mention their high degree of professionalism and care. Always tidy and courteous. For the occasional task they required additional assistance e.g plastering...they called in the " right crew". Attention to detail is first class and we are thoroughly delighted with end product.

We chose to work with Harrington Builders based on personal recommendation rather than the builder recommended by the architect. After starting the job, we made changes to the worked planned which involved a lot more work. Our 1914 house presented some interesting challenges changing roof lines, installing a floor to ceiling Velux and removing a wall and the very large chimneys it housed. After nearly a year we are tantalising close to completion and can start to appreciate the transformation. If you going to have builders in your house for a year, if would be hard to find a more charming crew. Some of the most impressive new features are those suggested by John Harrington such as the glass wall at one end of the kitchen. It's the first thing people notice and admire when they walk in. Stuart's enthusiasm, intelligence, hard work and patience are all exceptional. When he can see that you are struggling to does everything he can to help by rigging up a temporary solution that will help show the results of you choice. Their approach is to find a way to make what you want possible. No builder is perfect and if they have a weakness it is the time taken to provide a quotation, the lack of a contract or payment schedule. If budget is not your primary concern and you want a quality job done, then they are the right choice for you.
