Hi, my name is Mike. I have worked in the gas and heating industry for over 34 years. I began my career as a British Gas apprentice service engineer in Huddersfield and enjoyed many years working for the company. My business was established in 2000 and I have worked for some great clients including The Scouts, The Church of England, Centrica and the NHS.

I am an Accredited Installer with Worcester Bosch, Vaillant and Ideal Boilers. I have serviced and installed thousands of central heating boilers over the past 34 years which allows me to offer unrivalled experience. I have an excellent working knowledge of smart home technology for central heating. I also install underfloor heating systems.

As a knowledgeable and experienced heating engineer, I have an excellent reputation within the industry and a very loyal client base that enjoy my friendly, professional and extremely reliable service.

Mike was thoroughly professional and a pleasure to deal with when he installed my Greenstar 4000 boiler. To get the extended warranty period on this product, I needed to use Google search to find a recommended Worcester Bosch installer & the fact Mike responded to my mobile phone calls & emails in such a timely manner increased my confidence in choosing him to carry out the work on my property. On the day, Mike turned up on time and his pleasant demeanour and product knowledge shone through. Arranging to have the old boiler and packaging taken away promptly and explaining the workings of the Google Nest thermostat at the end of a long day for him we're just two examples of his 'go the extra mile' attitude. Thanks again Mike and look forward to seeing you when you service my gas fire later in the year.

Old vented system updated with new system boiler and unvented cylinder

Found Mike from the Worcester Bosch accredited installer list and was won over by the positive reviews. His website was good and gave me a feeling of confidence before he had even visited. Mike came, explained options and gave competitive quote for the large system update. Mike and his colleague removed a 25 year old unvented system and replaced it with an all new Worcester Bosch 8000 Style System boiler and a new Unvented cylinder aswell as fitted a new vertical flu on the roof. All the old pipe work and header tanks were removed and new piping installed for the new system. A lot of care and attention was put into keeping the pipe work neat and hidden from view where possible. A lot of work was completed in the 3 days install and commissioning, and all was completed exactly when expected. All mess was cleaned up and a general respect for my house was shown. All in all a great job by a nice tradesman!

Michael was recommended to me by a friend, as I wanted to replace my old boiler & didn’t know anyone who could do the job. He came to look at where the old boiler was & as I was going from a very old system to a new one, he suggested having new radiators would be better for the new system. The quote he gave was very reasonable & I decided to go ahead. A date was agreed & he arrived on time each day, keeping me up to date with all the work as he went along. He was very tidy & disposed of all old appliances for me. His work is very thorough & once the job was finished, he very patiently explained how the new system works. He is friendly & patient, nothing is too much trouble for him. I would highly recommend Michael, a very thorough professional, who knows his job.

You always worry when trying to find a new tradesman – it can be a lottery, all you want is the job doing properly, for a fair price and for them to turn up when they say they will... we definitely lucked out with Mike! He fitted a replacement Worcester Bosch boiler in a new location in our cellar along with tidying up a spaghetti junction of old pipework. I'm sure it wasn't the most straightforward job he's had and I know he spent longer on some parts of it than he anticipated, but the work was completed in the two days we had booked in, to a very high standard and without any fuss or extra charges. He was great to deal with. As he's said himself 'friendly, professional and extremely reliable service' – I won't be using anyone else.

Let down by previous gas central heating engineer/plumber... Recommended to use only Which trusted traders in future, tried Michael @ Heat Art after reading reviews..What a breath of fresh air, confirmed appointment via email and turned up promptly. Respectful, understanding and drained, disconnected and capped 2 radiators without any issue. Gave helpful advice when selecting replacement radiators, including where to resituate some of them and also suggested more affordable styles . Michael also adjusted the boiler pressure and checked the washing machine plumbing as it had been leaking. I look forward to contacting Michael again when my decorator has finished so new radiators can be fitted-He will also be servicing the boiler on an annual basis All in all, good experience and would not hesitate to recommend-Well Done and Thank You

Michael was recommended to me by a neighbour. When he came to give me a quote, his extensive knowledge and experience was obvious as he recommended the appropriate boiler and radiators for my property. He is extremely friendly and professional. He gave me a start date which he stuck to and his pricing is extremely reasonable. Michael went above and beyond to ensure the job was finished in one day. He was extremely thorough, tidy and respectful and he arranged for the old appliances to be removed promptly. I have genuinely never experienced such high customer service - it’s my pleasure to write this review and I would wholly recommend him to anyone needing heating works. I highly recommend his services and workmanship. Once the job was completed, he took time to explain the new system and it’s controls simply to me in layman’s terms. Michael fitted my brand new boiler in December 2022. I initially called Michael (he came highly recommended from a friend) and asked him if there would be any way he could fit me in before Christmas, as I had family visiting over from Denmark. Michael managed to fit me in, despite given only a few weeks notice - which our family very much appreciated. Beforehand, Michael was extremely helpful and insightful over the phone and when he came to take a look at the old boiler. When fitting the new boiler, Michael carried out the job very professionally, and everything was so clean and tidy. He put protection down on all of my carpets - it is as if he was never here. Boiler works fantastic and he spent lots of time explaining how everything works with the new boiler and the new remotes. I would highly recommend him to friends and family - which I have already done so.

Mike was recommended and has done service work on all my gas appliances in the past. He has always been on time and has always stuck to the agreed price, so when my 15 year old boiler had had enough I had no hesitation in asking Mike to do the work. The job was done as usual at the agreed time and price and although new I am feeling the benefit already. Mike took care to protect my newly fitted kitchen and cleaned up afterwards, he explained the workings in good simple terms for me and I felt so confident in him. He is a true professional, friendly and trustworthy and I would have no hesitation in recommending Mike. Brilliant.

Mike fitted a new boiler today plus new thermostatic valves on all the radiators. He also checked that the whole system was working properly and then explained carefully how to operate the boiler. He was very patient, friendly and polite and went over certain things several times in order for us to understand. The whole process from start to finish has been easy. Nothing has been too much trouble for him. He also took away the old boiler etc. Also, we know we can easily contact him if we have any questions.

Having placed an enquiry with Worcester Bosch on their website, Mike responded very promptly. Mike surveyed the problem with our system very promptly, and his quotation was received the same day as his visit. Because of anomalies from other contractors, he answered our questions sensibly and put our mind at rest. Mike was able to give us a very speedy installation date bearing in mind we had very limited facilities. We found Mike to be very personable, with a happy disposition and a good sense of humour. I was impressed by Mike's experience and knowledge, and he took time to explain the processes. Equally impressive was his willingness to ensure that we had, at least, got toilet facilities before going home after an 11-hour day. Mike returned for 3 hours on Saturday morning to complete the job. We are very pleased with the new Worcester Bosch Combi Boiler and have no worries about the oncoming winter. Mike will be doing all our annual servicing and future plumbing, and we highly recommend his services.

He came out to survey what was needed, went through all areas, explained the work required, and then sent us a detailed accurate written quotation. He arrived promptly each day as arranged and completed the work as detailed. He is very professional, polite, pleasant and patient. Any problems found during the installation were clearly explained to us and sorted, particularly around some of the original sixty year old pipework. He also spent time thoroughly checking the system on completion and explaining to us as to how we would use the system, the programmer, boiler and particularly setting the timer. Mike will also return in a months time to check over the system. In conclusion this was a thoroughly professional job very well done. Highly recommended by ourselves.

Mike and his colleague Chris were excellent, we required a full new central heating system. This required all the floors, carpets and furniture to be resited whilst the install was being carried. The workmanship along with the attention to detail from Mike was of the highest level and everything was returned to how it was before the install, with the obvious addition of a brand new Worcester boiler with the Hive system. Mike and his colleague were on time everyday and explained the work they were carrying out as they were going along. Post install Mike fully explained the workings of the system and I was left reassured that we had selected the correct installer for this job. I can highly recommend Mike without hesitation and will be using him for servicing etc. in the future.

Mike repaired a leak on our 6 year old Worcester boiler. This was a recurring issue that we have had with this boiler since it was first installed. It was first repaired by Worcester under warranty and last year by another Gas Boiler Engineer. Mike identified the leak was being caused by high water pressure and so fitted a pressure reducing valve for us. He also replaced the damaged component and completed a service, all at a very reasonable price. Very professional and informative throughout the whole process and gave us confidence in what he was doing. Would highly recommend and have no hesitation in using his services again.

We recently moved into our new home only to find that no DHW was available. The boiler was in need of replacement and so I went straight to Worcester web site for an approved installer/repair. Mike was very helpful and as we were in a hurry fitted us in with an initial visit. We agreed on a new boiler install, thermostat valves upgraded and a new radiator where needed. During the work we agreed on additional work to be carried out and Mike was very helpful going above and beyond. All in all a great job carried out, very happy with quality of work, efficient and would recommend.

I have used Heat Art for 20 years and have never been let down. My Boiler broke down on Sunday 20th June and Mike went above and beyond to order and install a new one today Tuesday 22 June. He is always reliable, trustworthy, on time, explains everything, charges exactly what has been agreed . I wouldn't use anyone else and have recommended him many times. If ever I have a problem with my heating he is always willing to help which is such a relief to me as I am disabled and live alone.

After spending Christmas and New Year without central heating or hot water and as our local plumber was unavailable, I checked Which? Trusted Traders and Worcester Bosch accredited engineers - and Mike rode to the rescue. He returned my phone call promptly, ascertained all the circumstances over the phone, and, though he was already solidly booked through January, he was willing to come on the next Saturday, with a contractor he had used before, and get the job done in one day. They worked solidly throughout a long and very cold day, and Mike took time, in the end, to take us through the setup and user details. Mike is polite, cheerful, friendly and helpful and I cannot thank him enough for coming when he did and doing a thoroughly professional job under lockdown conditions on the coldest day so far this winter.

Mikes recommendation came to me via my brother, who couldn’t speak highly enough of the mans professionalism and general good nature. He wasn’t wrong. Our combi boiler was dead, unrepairable. On initial contact with Mike, he didn’t talk £££. He just asked questions regarding our old boiler, pipe work etc and requested pictures of the aforementioned, so he could weigh the job up beforehand, I’m assuming. Further correspondence would have Mike giving us 3 options with regards to a new boiler and fitting, each explained clearly. On deciding our choice, he arranged a set price, which NEVER wavered, and showed up punctually at the arranged time. His workmanship was excellent. In short, the attention to detail was something I’ve never experienced before with a tradesman. And we’ve had many in our house over 15 years. This guy actually gives a damn about his work, he really does. Polite, friendly, professional and the absolute epitome of honest. Anybody else would be second best.

Mike was prompt and explained what was needed in detail and the options available. Mike's work was excellent and my entire heating system has now been updated. I didn't have to wait very long. Mike's work is excellent, my entire heating system was checked over and he upgraded 2 radiators for me. The system is easy to work and it's a joy to have heating and hot water that is reliable. Mike was friendly and efficient and also cleaned up. I needed a new combi boiler after my last one packed in on Sunday, made some enquiries and Mike was the 1st to respond. He gave me a quote after I sent pictures of my current boiler and came round when he said to double check a few things. Work started on time and was completed within the day. I was recommended Michael by a friend after my aged boiler finally gave up. I rang Mike and despite being busy he arrived on time the following day to have a look. I had anticipated I would need a new boiler, I asked Mike to be honest. He was not pushy at all, he said he could fix my old boiler but the likelihood was that given its age and make it was probably not very cost effective. I wanted a good quality boiler and having researched WHICH I had decided on a Worcester Bosh. Mike was in agreement and sent me 3 quotes later on that night. 2 WB models and a 3rd which was slightly cheaper. Having made my choice, he arranged to come yesterday to fit it. He arrived on time and worked from 8.30 am till 8pm (he asked would this be ok). As I had no hot water, I was delighted to find someone who was actually prepared to see the job to its conclusion in one day. As for Mike himself, he is a gentleman, reliable, friendly, tidy and for someone who doesn't have any boiler knowledge, was happy to talk me through the various functions in a way that I understood. The job was not straightforward, I live in an old cottage and had made the bad mistake of having a new kitchen fitted around the old boiler. Dismantling the fitted units was tricky but Michael managed to remove and refit them with no damage. I cannot praise Mike enough, do not hesitate in hiring him for a job. Definitely a name than has gone straight in my phone book for any future jobs. Perfect service at a reasonable price.

Mike from Heat Art was recommended to me by my dad (whose boiler he'd previously replaced and has been servicing the new one for a number of years) to give me a quote for a new boiler. He recommended a boiler to suit me; nothing too fancy, but with a good reputation and competitively priced. He was great at explaining everything that needed to be done to install the new boiler in line with current standards (as my previously boiler was probably over 15 years old) including fitting a filter, condenser outlet and thermostat (which I'd not previously had) and "flushing out" the central heating system. He also noticed the hot tap in my bathroom wasn't working (which it hadn't for a number of years), and after explaining the problem I'd had with it over the years he fixed that too, so I now finally have hot water in my bathroom sink! He carried out the work at the agreed time and to the agreed budget. Mike is personable, knowledgeable, competitive in price and very good at his job. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to others.

Mike was recommended to us by a friend, and we chose him to install our new boiler. We could not have asked for a better job to be done. He was very professional, friendly, reliable and the price was very fair. The thing that impressed us the most, was when we had to call out the boiler manufacturer for some teething problems, they made a point of commenting on what a great installation job had been done. The teething problems were down to some parts within the boiler, nothing to do with any of the work Mike had undertaken. He has since been back for 2x boiler services and we will always use him for any future gas works.

Mike has now fitted two new boilers- one in my current home, one in my previous home and honestly, I wouldn’t choose anyone else. He is honest, very reliable and always carries out his work to the highest standard. He was respectful of the budget for our boiler and got us the best possible option for what we needed. I also recommended him to my mum, who also had nothing but positive things to say about his work. When there was a problem with one of her radiators, Mike even came to look on a Sunday to try to sort the problem out. I can not recommend his services highly enough.

Mike, over the past 12 years, has completed work at our home, including boiler servicing, replacing/ moving radiators and installing a new boiler. All the work has been completed to a high standard, with care taken to prevent any damage to our home. The price quoted is always the price we pay - no hidden extras, plus its always good value for money. (Heat Art) Mike is a true professional, gave a specific time and date to start and finish the work schedule. He completed the work to a very high standard and to our complete satisfaction accordingly. We found his work very tidy systematic and responsible. Our previous boiler (Potterton Promax HE30kw) was only 6 years old and we spent a fortune on call out charges, and Mike was God sent. I will recommend Mike at Heat Art After spending and spending on our old Valliant boiler we decided time was enough and looked to replace this antiqated relic. Michael came highly recommended by our freind whome had a new gas fire then boiler fitted by Michael. He was so pleased with Michael and his service and workmanship that he could help to tell everyone on our street " you must use heat art if you need a fire or boiler this guy knows his stuff. So anyway we booked Heat art to access our needs Michael came and explained everything to us and sent a really competitive quotation to take out the old boiler and replace with new. We couldn't more happy with how this was taken care of from Michael, we didn't have to worry as everything was taken care off. I had an issue with British Gas. On their last service of my gas fire they decided to condemn the flue and suggested I also replaced the fire. A neighbour recently had his boiler replaced by Mike and was very pleased with the quality of his work so, I asked him to have a look. Fearing a very hefty bill I was more than pleased when he said there was nothing wrong with the flue and all the fire needed was the front glass panel replacing. Mike was also very helpful when the PCB failed on my boiler. He suggested I contact the manufacturer who did the work at a very reasonable cost. I have ditched British Gas and have my gas fire and boiler serviced by Mike. I highly recommend Heat Art and will definitely use them again should the need arise.

Not only did he come in with a really competitive quote for a new boiler and installation of a new gas hob, he identified and rectified poor workmanship by another company, and sorted that out at no additional cost. The work was completed on time and on budget. More than this, Mike's attitude was exemplary. It is rare to find someone who really does go the extra mile; Mike couldn't have been more helpful, thoughtful and professional. He also did some work for my mum which he was most thorough; when my dad was seriously ill and the boiler stopped working, Mike came over to fix it, even though it was Christmas and he was super-busy. I first met Michael over 17 years ago when he came to fix a fault with my central heating system that was installed a couple of years earlier. I was so impressed with him as a professional polite, knowledgeable individual and with the care and quality of his work that I have used him ever since.
