I called Mark at Heat tech on Tuesday 13th, he arranged for George to come on Wednesday 14th. They arrived, as promised, at 8:30 am, the work was carried out within a couple of hours. They were so tidy and polite, the workspace was left clean and tidy after having two radiators removed from both sides of a wall. collateral damaged done to the floor in the dining room which was okay as floor is coming up anyway, but I was kept informed at all times as to what had to happen. The next good surprise was the invoice I received, very pleasantly surprised at the charge for the job. I was recommended Heat Tech by a neighbour and am so glad she did, any plumbing jobs I need doing in the future will be with Heat tech, and yes I will definately be recommending them to others in the future. HeatTech are known on the Estate I live in and I had already had a recommendation. The work I needed doing was a new shower unit in my walk-in shower, a new kitchen tap with added water filter and a new cistern valve in one of the other bathrooms. The hardest part of the work for Sapphire, who did the shower was having to remove tiles in order to get the piping out without upsetting the other bathrooms using a power showers. Fortunately I had some tiles left from the original job about 30 years ago. She grouted those tiles really well and no-one would know anything had changed, except me, of course! Sapphire had two young helpers for the other two jobs. I am extremely happy with their approach to the work and the efficient and friendly manner in which it was done and would certainly recommend HeatTech. Helen Dean

Our hot water system was on the blink. HeatTech carried out a very detailed investigation, very promptly. It was a very frustrating and intermittent problem. They made several visits and in the end we decided that the boiler was really past help. They installed a new boiler very quickly indeed. Used Heat Tec over Christmas period as heating was not working. Engineer (Dave) came out on 27 Dec., changed motor. However, problem soon returned, and he made 2 more visits, very promptly after my call. Diagnosed and sorted an elusive fault on 6 Jan. All is in perfect order. Very pleasant, ever ready to help, any time. Fair and reasonable cost. Call handlers also extremely patient and polite. Will be our regular service engineers in future.

I’ve used HeatTech before and they’ve always been excellent. This time one of my heating pumps (not installed by them) sprang a leak and we had to shut the whole system down. HeatTech got someone here within a couple of hours of my call, and did their usual highly professional job of fixing the problem and replacing the damaged components. Highly recommended.

HT are competitively priced so paying separately for work that could have been carried out by BG was a no brainer, they were in and out quickly and knew what they were doing. Very reassuring. I have no hesitation in recommending and HT will become a trusted trader I know I can and will call upon again.

Had the boiler serviced by Heat tech in September. £120 is at the expensive end for this but figured was best to pay up for a quality service to avoid unwanted expensive failures during the winter. Boiler (combi) had been working fine before the service, but almost straight away post service we started to have instances of needing to re-pressurise the system. This happened a few times so eventually called Heat Tech back in a month later to investigate, where they found a fault with the expansion vessel, despite having signed this off as working fine at the service the previous month. £265 bill to find the fault, order the part and return to replace it. Spoke on the phone, Heat Tech not interested in excepting any liability or goodwill gesture for the sequence of events or questions around the service quality. Will not be using them again.

After contacting Heat Tech about fixing our boiler, they were great from start to finish. Sapphire was very friendly and helpful, doing the best she could to fix the fault and went out of her way to come back later that day to sort it. Reasonably priced and very reliable - would highly recommend!

Mark has been me go to plumber for about 5 Years. The following work was carried out to my complete satisfaction. Service Boiler. Replace leaking radiator. Replace plastics pipe work with copper to the central heating pressure vessel. 5 Star work from a 5 Star company. What more can you say.

Central heating was intermittent and not responding to the thermostat. After having a couple of locally recommended engineers look at the system and fail to properly diagnose the fault I came across this Which site which contained many satisfying reviews. Talking to Mark on the phone it was very clear that he was the engineer I was looking for. As a retired engineer of 60 years in electronics development I found we could discuss my problem successfully. Heat-Tech engineer George, came over to checkout the system and found it not to be wired according to published standards and recommended that rewiring was needed to enable efficient fault finding. Subsequently he got the heating working but there were occasional fault modes occurring and a new electronics board was needed. After fitting a replacement board the system is now working correctly. Costs of labour and parts were good value and I would call them again if required. I'm pleased with the fast and competent service from the company and would recommend Heat-Tech as a first choice. I have used Heat Tech for many years and now have had some radiators changed this week. The whole process was straightforward with a preliminary visit and quote through to the work being done on time and for a fair price. Every member of the team has been professional and competent. I have a boiling water tap in my kitchen which is 3 years old, but it suddenly started to leak by the tank under the sink and so I needed a plumber fairly quickly. My usual plumber is good but incredibly hard to contact and never available at short notice, however, I left a message for him to call me early that morning. I spoke to a local friend about this problem that same morning and she recommended Mark to me. When I had heard nothing from my plumber by lunchtime I decided to call Mark and he answered the telephone quickly. We had a discussion about the problem which resulted in me sending pictures by WhatsApp to him. He then called me back quickly and diagnosed the problem. The following day two plumbers appeared and they worked hard to solve the problem, but alas specialist spare parts were required from the manufacturer. Off his own bat, Mark spoke to the manufacturer and managed to secure a brand new replacement tap under the warranty. The new tap was couriered to me quickly and Mark sent the same two plumbers back to instal it. All done with a minimum of fuss or hassle. To be honest I was very impressed with Mark's no nonsense approach to jobs and the initiative he showed in going direct to the manufacturer without bothering me.

Brilliant. We had no water. We called Mark. Within 2 hours he sent a lady plumber and her assistant. She found the problem, went out to buy a spare part, returned, and all was completed, with running water from all taps and showers working again much faster than I thought - just 90 minutes. Mark came out to my house and fixed something my my heating very quickly and well. I asked him to diagnose a water pressure issue which I’d had a quote on from another contractor and he gave me a much better solution which was very cost efficient. I called Heat Tech and spoke to a very nice person called Sarah who explained Mark the engineer would be calling me back to ask a few questions about what was needed as my radiators were not working sufficiently. Mark called back and we discussed the procedure for a power flush for my heating system, which is 30 years old, so I wasn’t expecting miracles but that’s what I got. The job was booked in and two very professional guys called Neil and Lewis arrived, very polite and easy to talk to and they started the job. I also had to have a new circulation pump fitted. The guys worked hard as my rads were very gumped up but that didn’t bother them they cleared them and my radiators are working brilliantly. I was chuffed and so pleased I’ve found Heat Tech and will be definitely using them again. It’s was so refreshing to have the work carried out so professionally by experienced people. Following an attempted home repair that failed and water could not be turned back on, a call to Mark at Heat tech in the late evening proved the best decision of the evening! I had a problem with a leak from my boiler. I called Heat Tech at 5:30pm and spoke with Mark who was extremely helpful and arranged for Francesco to visit the house first thing the following morning. My elderly parents had an issue with their upstairs toilet which was preventing them from being able to use it. I had a problem with an overflow pipe in the loft and also a radiator that wasn’t working. Heat Tech arrived on time the next day and solved both issues and also answered questions about the heating system which was really helpful.

My boiler failed early one morning, just before Christmas and I rang Heat Tech and got immediate help which solved the problem temporarily and then it was followed up by someone coming to the house and fixing it. It was a very good service

Having seen wet floorboards by the hot water cylinder, a phone call to Heat Tech led to a quick visit in order to identify the problem. Fortunately a new hot water cylinder was not required but a sticky heating valve controller and some reconfigured pipework was needed to resolve the issue. As it was just before Christmas and a complete shut down until the New Year, we were delighted with the quick service and the problem was sorted. We switched to Heat Tech in mid-December 2021 as British Gas Home Care were completely unable to sort out a problem in a timely fashion and expected us to wait until after the New Year without central heating for an engineer to call.

We had a mains water leak which had obviously been going on for some time with water saturating an internal, but load bearing wall. I had no hesitation calling 'Heat Tech Services' as I knew I would receive an excellent and prompt solution at a fair price. As it was the weekend and Mark was busy, he could not actually get to us until the following week. He was incredibly helpful, giving the best temporary solution, including what we could do ourselves to save time and money before they could come to fix the pipe. The pipe was excellently and quickly fixed by the end of Monday. The site was left clean and clear of debris. I felt like a very stressful situation was calmly, expertly and promptly sorted without causing a financial headache. I had a query regards moisture on the pipe after the job was completed and Mark thoroughly explained the possible reasons and asked me to call back if I was still concerned. The workers mended the pipe perfectly and saved us a lot of hassle over a very busy Christmas period. Thank you. I cannot recommend Mark and his team highly enough.

Heat Tech engineer George came the day after I called, to replace our water pump and check the boiler because the heating was not working properly. He was excellent and a credit to Heat Tech. I had never used the company before but had been recommended. They are just excellent and very helpful and accommodating and reasonably priced. I've previously engaged Heat Tech for some repairs at my home and was happy to go back to them with a recent query. Mark was really helpful over the phone and managed to solve the issue without the need for a call out and so without any cost. We have the top of the range Home Care cover with British Gas. We were left without hot water for over a week (not classified as an emergency according to Dyno, who carry out plumbing work on behalf of British Gas), and no sign of resolution. We contacted Mark and although we live outside the area his company usually covers, he agreed to help us. He came as a recommendation from two people we know. Mark ordered the parts and carried out the repairs in a very timely and professional manner, thoroughly testing everything before he left. He left the area spotlessly clean. From our initial contact with Mark, right through to completion, Mark kept us informed each step of the way. If the software allowed, we'd give him more than 5*. We are indebted to Mark and his team member for coming to our rescue and putting an end to lukewarm showers in the gym / local swimming pool, in winter. We cannot recommend this company highly enough - so professional and efficient. We felt we could trust Mark totally.

Heat Tech came in good timing to solve boiler pressure problem; later central heating was on, but a new leaking found, Heat Tech came again in late afternoon to finish a reliable service, so far boiler OK.

We noticed a small leak coming through the downstairs ceiling. It proved very difficult to find but once it was located the exact cause was established. The remedy involved installing a new shower which Heat Tech did most efficiently. A big job for a small leak but one which had to be done. I'm pleased with the new shower. All in all a very satisfied customer. I would have no hesitation in using Heat Tech again and would definitely recommend their services.

The engineer arrived on time and was friendly He carried out the service on my boiler in a confident manner and was tidy and efficient. He also helped set my timer which I was having problems with. He suggested it was faulty. When I asked him if Heat Tech could fit a replacement he said yes and suggested I contact Mark Ockendon. I was extremely happy with the service.

Mark and his team have carried out annual services on my domestic boiler for some years. The team are utterly professional and work quickly, efficiently and to the highest standards. Charges are fully explained in advance and on each occasion I have been invoiced for the pre agreed sum. Excellent.

I called Mark to get my hob commissioned after my kitchen fitters fitted the kitchen, he came round very promptly, spent half an hour making sure my gas supply was ok but more importantly made sure I was strong enough to turn the gas off if the need arose.

Mark and team are brilliant. We found we were losing pressure on our boiler, and then during other works discovered a leak under the landing floor. Mark came quickly, replaced poor work by a previous plumber and replaced with proper copper pipes. With my elderly mum in the house getting this sorted was vital and Mark came up trumps. We also requested our annual heating service and had an appointment within days. Prices are very fair and Mark runs his business in a very professional way.

This was the annual service of our boiler and was carried out with customary efficiency, speed and courtesy by Sapphire and Tom, who left the area in an extremely tidy and clean state.. The cost is extremely reasonable and was precisely as stated. As is customary, no complaints at all over the work.

My first time using Heat Tech Services. The appointment was pre-booked, a reminder was sent and the polite and professional engineer arrived as scheduled. Excellent service and value for money.

The work was the replacement of an old and faulty Ch wall thermostat. The original engineer - Sapphire - was ill and unable to attend but her replacements actually arrived before the original appointment time and completed the installation efficiently and courteously. Moreover, they provided a clear, patient and thorough explanation of the workings of the new,' smart', thermostat. A very good, professional job.

Had issues with my radiators. Mark was very helpful initially, advising on what are the options to resolve and proposing course of action over multiple steps. Team completed the initial job, but this did not resolve the issue. Tried to speak to Mark a number of times after this - he was difficult to get hold of, refused provide a quote for the next step and preferred to say this is the cost per hour. Said he would call back but did not multiple times. Overall initial service was good, but not impressed with the follow-up and issue still not resolved

I cannot recommend Mark and his team highly enough. They have recently fitted a new hot water cylinder for me which was completed efficiently and provided excellent service. This week I had a water leakage in my kitchen which I noticed in the evening. I messaged Mark and he replied later that evening asking for photographs and details. He then agreed to come out first thing the next morning and within a couple of hours had replaced the pipes and fixed the problem. I couldn't be more grateful to Heat Tech.

I've been a Heat Tech customer for a few years now and would recommend Mark and his employees. Works are always done precisely and well. Heat Tech eventually solved a problem with my underfloor heating which had previously seemed insoluble and alongside that dealt with a minor plumbing emergency that happened while they were here. I have used them on three occasions now, they are reliable, communicative and keep expense to a minimum by establishing as many details as possible about a job before they come so they have the right parts/equipment with them. Responded immediately to my somewhat frantic phone call at 8.30am Sunday morning when I had water showering from the ceiling. Quickly located and fixed broken pipe in loft, hoovered it dry and cleared out all soggy insulation. Very pleased with the service indeed and wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

I needed a heating engineer in a hurry. Heat Tech were recommended by my sister. Phoned them in the afternoon and they were on the doorstep at 8:30am the following day. I would normally be wary of any tradesperson that could respond that quickly, but they were highly recommended and didn't disappoint. I will happily use them again

Rang to remind me that service was due, guys arrived on time and completed job in the time frame specified at booking. Cannot recommend this firm highly enough.

Discover reason for poor water flow from bath and basin taps in main and ensuite bathrooms of a new build development. It emerged the fault was with the taps themselves - wrong specification for hard water area - both blocked with limescale and narrow-gauge Flexi hoses restricting the flow. Removal of diffusers improved flow significantly in one tap but didn't eliminate the problem in the other. Tap judged faulty - needs to be replaced. In the interim plumber used his initiative by switching the better performing tap to main suite and relegating the faulty tap to the less used bathroom pending sourcing of new fitments. The bath tap, due to the position in which it has been installed, is inaccessible for maintenance so was advised to refer back to the construction company for remedial action. The engineer stuck to the brief until he had provided a working solution and a recommendation for future action. Subsequently HeatTech followed up with a phone enquiry to ensure customer was happy with the outcome and to endorse the engineer's recommendations. Full marks for customer service. The cost was very reasonable. I use Heat Tech for annual boiler maintenance and have every confidence in their ability to deal with other issues as evidenced above.

I have used this company for years and see it, deservedly grow. Knowledgeable reliable and clean work at a fair price. They have also come out and helped when I had gas or plumbing emergencies, a local company who take on and train local apprentices too.

On New Year's Eve I discovered the central heating boiler was leaking and dripping onto the kitchen worktop. Mark came, identified that it was the heat exchanger leaking, telephoned the manufacturer and arranged for an engineer to visit on 3 January. It was all done so efficiently and was a great relief to me. Very grateful for his swift action.

Boiler went down Christmas Eve, freezing Christmas. Saved by heating engineer I never knew existed. Recommended by friendly plumber. How right she was. Mark arrived at first possible opportunity, scrutinised the boiler from every point of view - he was definitely a problem solver. He certainly had an eye for detail and discovered some little problems where things had just disintegrated, goodness. Should have been serviced earlier but at the time we were in Lockdown and I have been isolated ever since. He changed the fan, burner gasket, and ignition electrodes on the spot and went on to tighten manual air vent in the airing cupboard - getting rid of a leak was unexpected benefit. All this, no fuss. I was left with warm radiators, proper hot water and the emergency heater redundant, thank goodness. Now the house is nice and cosy and I thank Mark. Added bonus I now have a heating engineer to call on to do the annual service. Result, excellent!!!

Heat Tech installed a new Vaillant boiler for us. Following a site visit, their initial quotation was issued very quickly, was in a clear format with various options available, and was very reasonable. We were able to book in the work very quickly. The young lady who carried out the work was excellent. She was very knowledgeable, polite and professional. My wife, in particular, was mightily impressed that a woman carried out the work! After the installation, we noticed that some air had built up in the radiator system, which we understand is quite normal when a new boiler is installed. Heat Tech returned very quickly to release the air etc. They also registered our guarantee for us directly with Vaillant. All in all, we are very happy indeed with the service offered by Heat Tech.

Many thanks to Mark for his extremely prompt and efficient service. Following a boiler breakdown we were visited by 0900 and the fault (a broken fan) quickly identified. A replacement part was speedily obtained and by 1100 hrs the boiler was back in operation. I would heartily recommend Heat Tech!

Mark's team had to switch out old boiler set up with loft tanks etc and replace with combi plus some extra rads. A big job that took all week for 2 people. Job completed as planned and all done efficiently. We had a few snagging problems but Mark made sure that one of his team came out to fix them quickly. Have used Mark before and will definitely use him again. Reliable service and good at diagnosing tricking problems!

Heat Tech services (Mark) installed a new boiler for me in the summer, which was done very efficiently. In September we started to have problems with the hot water as the new boiler kept cutting out. Mark couldn't have been more helpful in identifying the problem (failing Shunt Pump) and fixing it. He ensured that we weren't left with a problem. I wouldn't hesitate to use his services again.

Having not used this trader before, I was very impressed with the service provided and would highly recommend them. I needed someone to repair my toilet cistern as it was constantly trickling through the pan. We contacted Marc at Heat tech to a boiler service at my mothers house through personal recommendation (my mother’s neighbour). Marc was very accommodating in setting up the appointment and the fact that my mother is not comfortable with people in her home. Really helpful. Excellent advice and service. We had a problem with the flow of cold water in our bathroom after we had left a tap on which resulted in our sink overflowing. We had an ancient boiler, attached to questionable pipework which had been modified by various plumbers over the years. The boiler was removed, and the space completely cleared of any remaining pipework. New boiler fitted in the same position, and every pipe re-run in a very professional manner. This meant it looked great, and also gave us much more space, as the pipework was positioned more tidily against the walls. Sapphire, our lady plumber worked without a break over two days, until the job was done. All left neat and tidy. So pleased we are awarding Heat Tech the maintenance contract as well.

I contacted Heat Tech Services in the morning in relation to a fault on my boiler, it wasn't producing hot water. Mark got in touch with me about half an hour later and at 2 pm I had an engineer at the door. He diagnosed the fault immediately and fixed it. The engineer even waited some 10 minutes for access while I returned home. Other companies were going to come the following week and, with 2 small kids at home and an elderly grandmother, I desperately needed hot water in the house. Honestly, I couldn't rate this company highly enough. I was so impressed with their service. I used them for the annual boiler service last year and will certainly continue using them in the future. We were delighted with the speed and quality of the work, removing hot water cylinder and associated plumbing, fitting new thermostatic valves on all my radiators fitting the new boiler and commissioning the system.

Burst pipe late afternoon on Xmas Eve sorted quickly with no fuss. Subsequent boiler breakdown and replacement handled extremely professionally. Detailed explanations at every stage. Prompt arrival every morning, quiet except for instructions, and Covid protection guidelines adhered to by all workmen (and ladies!). Work completed on time and within budget. A small problem with the new boiler (Manufacturers' fault) was remedied quickly at no extra cost. Will be replacing British Gas insurance policy (as the earliest they could send an engineer was a minimum of 2 weeks!) with annual service by Heat Tech. Cannot recommend highly enough.

I'd used HeatTech before (after finding them on TrustedTrader) after they managed to fix two faulty valves then had meant we had no heating in the house so was fairly confident they could address the issue that the underfloor heating has stopped working. After a quick call with Mark we had figured out what the problem was (another faulty valve) he came around and replaced the value. Two of his team came round a couple of days later to make good. Hopefully this valve will last a while but can't fault HeatTech's work. They arrived when they said they would, identified the issue and fixed it and made good. Would use again

HeatTech serviced the boiler they fitted three years ago. The engineer arrived on time and carried out the work agreed. He answered a few questions and was pleasant throughout and paid strict attention to COVID safety procedures.

We had a leak somewhere under the kitchen floor but did not know what it was. We were unable to turn the water off. Mark arrived when he said he would and found the problem. We were delighted that he managed to fix the leak without taking up the floor despite the fact that this meant he had to work in a small and uncomfortable space. He cleaned up thoroughly, including taking out some broken concrete rubble left by a previous contractor. Clearly, we are very pleased!

I had an issue with my boiler/heating system that my UW engineer could fix and he advised an expensive power flush. 5 minutes on the phone to Heat Tech Service and they had the issue pin pointed to a pump. They gave me great confidence if I cant resolve this through my insurance I will willingly use them.

On Thursday we had the power off all day for our electrician to update our control panel. It was the coldest day of the year so we couldn't wait to switch the boiler back on when the work was complete. Unfortunately, the boiler failed to function. Mark responded to our call that evening but couldn't identify the problem over the phone. At 9.00 the next morning his team arrived and got the boiler working again. They were polite and efficient and adhered to the Covid guidelines. We have a warm house again, for which we are extremely grateful.

I was lucky enough to be introduced to Mark when I first moved to Rickmansworth in 2014. He and his team had done work for my son, so I had no hesitation in asking him to do some things that were that needed here. He installed a new Combi boiler, with all that that involved, disposing of the old boiler and enormous tank. He also took away an old radiator and replaced it with a new one on the opposite side of the room. Since then, he and his team have regularly serviced the boiler.
