Complete removal and replacement of an old kitchen, which included dealing with electrics, ceiling and floor replacement and coordination of boiler renewal. This was done efficiently and very effectively. Communication was excellent throughout. Our needs were considered carefully and any issues arising from working on an older building were managed through skilled problem solving. Decision-making was well supported through discussion with Gerry that reflected his experience and skill. Gerry and his friendly team do a great job. They were skillful, tidy and punctual.

Gerry and his team spent two weeks working on our kitchen and it was a pleasure to have them onboard. Despite opting for a cheaper kitchen model that required additional work to fit, Gerry possesses excellent carpentry skills and was able to manipulate the materials to provide us with even more space than the kitchen planners had accounted for. Every finish was done to a high standard and they made sure to clean the site at the end of each day which makes a real difference when living in a flat. I would absolutely employ Heron Carpentry again and have recommended them to family and friends.

Gerry fitted a new kitchen in my flat in Crystal Palace in the weeks leading up to Christmas. I am delighted with the end result. From my initial dealings with him, he was consistently very professional & diligent. He was also flexible and very helpful as I don't live full time at the flat so needed him to look after keys and sometimes be available to let other tradespeople into the flat. He also worked around a new window installation in the kitchen which required the kitchen fitting to be done to specific dates. I'd have no hesitation in recommending him and his quote was competitive and accurate.

Gerry did a fantastic job fitting our kitchen. From his first visit to provide the quote he understood what we were trying to achieve in terms of finish and cost and made suggestions accordingly. He worked with Howdens, who supplied the kitchen, to make sure everything was in order and delivered on schedule. He started the work on time and finished both ahead of schedule and on budget. He was incredibly easy to deal with throughout, including coordinating other tradespeople. Friends commented on how relaxed we were despite the building work which was largely down to Gerry! I would very happily work with him again and would highly recommend him.

I found Gerry Heron through Trustedtraders as I needed a door replaced that had fallen off a worn door jam. It was a challenging job, but Gerry came up with a great solution. At the same time I discussed with him the idea of installing a kitchen island to add storage and an extra worktop. No problem, he said, and came up with a plan, reasonable estimate and work schedule. Bottom line — he did a great job on both, and I love the island. He works to schedule, no faffing about, and bonus - he has a wonderful sense of humour. He is definitely top of the list for doing more jobs in future.

Gerry completed a set of built-in wardrobes in 2 of our bedrooms. The end results were great - very pleased with the design and carpentry work. Gerry is very friendly, trustworthy and professional. Would not hesitate to use him again or recommend to others.

Gerry installed some understairs storage for me, on budget and on time. He made helpful suggestions as to the design so I now have functional and practical storage that is also attractive to look at. He also fixed some broken door handles free of charge which is most appreciated. He left my home neat and tidy. I am very happy with the result and definitely would use him again.

Gerry fitted our kitchen - effectively project managing a team to strip out an old kitchen, replaster the room, then fit the new one - and he made us built in wardrobes from scratch for our bedroom. Communication was excellent throughout, the work was done on time and to a very high standard, and Gerry was good company and 100% reliable to have in the house. I would recommend very highly for any carpentry or related work required in the south-east London area.

I am a keen climber, and asked Gerry if he could build a small bouldering wall in my garden so I can practice at home. He did a great job which included planning the build to ensure that the wall fitted well in the available space, which was quite limited as I do not have a large garden. In addition, his planning ensured that the wall was robust and safe and fell within planning permission requirements. Gerry was punctual, hard working and very pleasant, and - most importantly - his work was excellent. Whereas other home bouldering walls often feel a bit unstable, mine feels completely secure. For climbers who are interested , the wall itself is a bit bigger than a "mini moonboard": the main board (made from marine ply) is 10ft long and 8ft wide, with a small kickboard underneath. The board is at an angle of 40 degrees (from the vertical). This was the size that fits best in my garden, but Gerry could do something bespoke for others, depending on how much space is available. I appreciate that this was a really unusual job and it was only really possible with Gerry's considerable expertise.

Gerry built two wardrobes for us as we change a teenager's bedroom into an adult guest room. He helped us decide what would work best. We are very pleased with the work. Gerry was a pleasure to have around. He was flexible and tidy. Would have no hesitation in recommending him.

Gerry renovated my kitchen. He was very reliable and there was excellant communication throughout the project. His work was to a very high standard, reasonable price and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Gerry to anyone.

Gerry and Dan completed a full kitchen refurbishment, re-laid flooring throughout the downstairs and built a bespoke cupboard for us. Workmanship was fantastic and nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend.

Gerry has done two jobs for us - both completed above our expectations. The first job was renovating a section of waney wooden cladding on the front of our house which had rotted over time. Gerry sourced and fitted the replacement cladding which now blends in perfectly with the original cladding. Gerry also designed and fitted a new corner walk-in corner pantry cupboard which looks as though it was always a part of our existing shaker style kitchen. Gerry is friendly, tidy, punctual and works hard to get things done in the time he has planned. Gerry is clearly an expert carpenter and I highly recommend him.

Gerry built beutiful fitted wardrobes for my new bedroom and completed other building works, including insulating an external wall. Initially, I chose Gerry for his good communication skills and his competitive quote. On first impression, I thought he was someone I could trust and talk with. He gave me valualbe advice but also listened to my needs. Adjustments made along the way did not pose problems. The work was completed according to schedule. Gerry is clearly an experienced and skilled craftsman. Most importantly, he was a pleasure to have working in my home. I will be using his services again and I would heartily recommend him to others.

Heron Carpentry was recommended by a close friend. All communication was with ease and very straightforward, nothing was complicated. I had experienced water damage in my property from a flat above. Heron Carpentry repaired damage to my bathroom and kitchen. This included replacing grout, sealant, plasterboard, all making good including painting. I felt very comfortable and confident with Heron Carpentry and in safe hands. A quotation was provided and the invoice followed. The finished result was very satisfactory and I would strongly recommend them. Having experienced a stressful time, previously with workmen and the stress of water ingress into my property, it was much appreciated relying on a company who understood my concerns, knew my requirements and followed through with a professional job.

Gerry was recommended to me by a neighbour, I had been to her house and was very impressed by his carpentry work. I contacted him about doing my bathroom. He was very friendly, polite, approachable and professional. He was very realistic about his availability and what was involved in a new bathroom. I called him several times for advice and questions and he always took my calls, was very helpful and patient with me. Once the installation date was agreed, Gerry was very clear on what happened on each day and who was involved in the project. I was very impressed with his timekeeping, quality of his work and his work ethos. All the workers he brought in ie tiler, electrician, plasterer etc arrived on time and completed their jobs on time and to a high standard. I observed that Gerry had a very personable with all other traders that he brought in and they all really respected him. He was also very flexible when I brought in my own floor fitter. He flexed and adjusted the quote accordingly. When the job was completed, I was over the moon and very happy with my new bathroom. The job was finished on time. I was so happy with my new bathroom, that I got Gerry to do the bathroom in my mum's maisonette as he had a window in his busy calendar and I grabbed it. Thank you to Gerry for making my dream come true and making me a beautiful new bathroom, and a extra special thank you from my mum (fellow Scot) for her beautiful bathroom too!
