We are a local, family run business based in Ashton Under Lyne, Lancashire. All our engineers are Gas Safe registered which means they have been certificated by the official regulatory body to make sure they are competent and qualified to work safely and legally with gas related appliances in your home.
HEH are Level 2 Worcester Accredited Partners. Our engineers have received training by Worcester Bosch to install and maintain their products. Because of this partnership we are able to provide you with their industry leading parts and labor guarantee.

Arrived back from holiday on 15/12/22 to house at 5 deg, heating off and all pipes frozen. Thought there must be fault with Honeywell but thanks to advice got heating on , next day and defrosted pipes. Engineer came on 22/12 and advised on use of Honeywell so that it would work more effectively. Great service. Thanks

Had a new boiler fitted. 2 engineers arrived on time. Friendly, well mannered. Very efficient. Found a leak in original pipe which they resolved with no problem. Checked all pipes, radiators & gas fire. Installed 2 carbon monoxide detectors where I wanted them. Cleaned up very thoroughly leaving no mess at all. Overall they were super efficient. They even considered my nervy dog, making sure she was ok with them.

Andy's crew were back, after 17 years, to replace their previously installed Worcester Bosch boiler with a newer model. I first met Andy in 2006 for the installation and have had the boiler servicing done by HEH since then. Always polite and efficient, with a very detailed estimate and ease of contact for any amendments or clarifications. HEH have been my first port of call for replacement radiators, radiator thermostats and other heating related jobs. The team are always friendly and happy to discuss and explain the work that they are about to do. All of the unwanted materials, appliances and packaging are taken away at the end of the job, without fuss, before cleaning up. When I book in a visit I know that they will attend. Text messages keep me informed. Louise in the office is most helpful too, promptly dealing with any queries. I can certainly recommend this company, and did so in the previous manifestation of Which? Local.

What can I say? I’d give them 10 stars if I could. They rescued my very elderly parents who had no heating. They are professionals who really know their stuff. They are always courteous, clean, and conscientious. The office staff are equally as kind and helpful. They are highly recommended.

My old French boiler broke down on 29 December 2023, after supplying 2 kitchens, two shower rooms, and 7 circuits of underfloor heating for 17 years. A local engineer had struggled for a year to keep it going, but it was now dead. My only hot water was a kettle. My only heating was an electric convector heater. For the whole of January I was in communication with the 12 Trusted Traders near my home, but none gave me confidence that they would be able to replace the entire system of gas boiler, thermostats and underfloor heating controls. In desperation I phoned the 13th nearest Trusted Trader: High Efficiency Heating. The Receptionist was so friendly, and she understood exactly what I needed. She made an appointment for Richard, the Technical Support Manager, to visit me a few days later. By the end of the week, I received a very thorough 9-page report, with exact details and costs of the entire project. I was very happy to pay the deposit, and the work was scheduled for the four days before Easter. Dylan and his apprentices were so friendly and efficient. They finished most of the work in 3 days, then came back after Easter to make some adjustments. The boiler was making an unusual intermittent humming noise, so HEH arranged a visit from Worcester Bosch at no charge, and the boiler was silenced within an hour. Everyone in HEH is genuinely friendly and efficient, and they are quick to respond when anything needs to be adjusted. They are simply the best!

I've used HEH for years, and they've provided my plumbing and heating for 15 plus years. I called them this morning as my 15 year old boiler is leaking again. They sent someone this afternoon, and I've decided to renew my boiler. If I agree the price it can be fitted in a few days. Great service, always use them. Professional and friendly engineers, who know what they're doing, which gives customers confidence in their work.

We started using HEH A few years ago, after problems with the ignition on our gas fire. The issue was sorted out then, and since then we have use them annually for our boiler and gas fire service. Customer service is very efficient and the engineer always arrives on time, usually sending a text to say he’s on his way. All the staff we have dealt with have been very friendly and efficient and the engineers always clean up afterwards.

I had an old boiler and tank and had an upgrade to a combi bolier. I received the quote straight away no chasing, full details of installation, boiler model and payment options. On the day they came on time and finished the job earlier so I was lucky. Excellent job and friendly service, they was mindful as I working from home. They also fixed a tiny leak in my bathroom straight away. I would definitely recommend.

Richard came to design and quote for our new system - our old system was completely broken. The boiler leaked, no control over the underfloor heating and the upstairs radiators were not working. We had asked other engineers to try and fix it but no one appeared to know what to do. Richard explained what the problem was and how it could be solved. The quote was detailed a came quickly. The office staff were friendly, professional and efficient. It was booked in with no drama and all on time. The engineers Ethan and Jack who came to do the work were fantastic - Very professional and extremely tidy. The workmanship was excellent and in a relatively small space. Pipework is a work of art! Richard came to install the controls and spent time going through this as well. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending HEH.

I phoned on Friday whilst away on holiday. The App said we had an issue. The telephonist took control and arranged for an engineer to call around on Saturday morning. Richard and Ethan arrived to correct an ongoing wiring problem. Working together in a restricted access area was an unenviable position but it was done methodically and with a smiley face. It was resolved and is now working perfectly. A radiator problem was explained to me and a further visit in the warmer months to rectify this and to replace an ageing boiler is to be arranged. What great service is offered by Heh UK. Appointments were made and kept and a text to say engineers are on the way on repair day. Would recommend totally.

We were having a new gas smart meter installed and the installer detected a gas leak so would not switch the gas supply back on. This was an unexpected shock and we called high efficiency heating. They were fantastic and an engineer was with us within the hour to detect the leak. Within 48 hours our leak was fixed and our gas back on. Amazing service from the office staff to the engineer who was polite friendly and efficient. We can’t rate our experience highly enough.

Phoned HEH out of hours service got great response. Andy (the boss) came on line to talk through potential fixes. They diagnosed control system failure. Engineer called out even earlier than planned. Friendly, fast and efficient. Had parts in van. All fixed within ½ hour. Excellent coordination and communication from Sharron, Andy and Richard (job engineer).

I have used this company before today I had my boiler serviced they are prompt and all the workers are professional. They arrive on time and are always respectful of my property. The work is completed to a high standard and the worker always keeps me updated whilst completing the work. I would always use this company as I feel I can trust the workmen and the work they are completing

Work completed today very efficiently, great communication by the company to alert us to the arrival of their engineer.
