HomeTechWare is a London based service company that works with everything from changing a bulb to installing a new power socket to working with sophisticated smart home automation and security solutions and much more.

Certain works will be offered at fixed cost by quote/estimate. For all other works, standard domestic charges (please enquire for commercial) - single engineer labour on-site or remote assist (subsidised rates may be offered where additional engineers attend).:

Home Tech Ware wall mounted my Tv. I am very satisfied with the result. All cables are hidden. They cut through a wallpaper without leaving any damage. I originally wanted to use Hometechware just prior to the pandemic and unfortunately needed to use someone else. Thankfully they were happy to come and sort out the sins of another company and Pshemek and horatio took a great deal of pride in their work - quite rare these days! HomeTechWare recently installed a full intruder alarm, including several extras (motion sensors, spotlights, panic alarms, asset alarms). The whole installation was quick and efficiently carried out and reasonably priced. The aftercare is great - there is always someone at the end of the phone for follow up help and queries. HomeTechWare recently installed an alarm system in our house. It is simple (as requested) and has proved very easy to use either manually or via their app. Very impressed with both service and system; I was able to turn the alarm on and off from a hotel room in Japan! We’ve never had a house alarm before so were rather unsure. Sam and the team were very helpful and efficient throughout.

I called out Sam to fix an intercom in a tenanted property. It's the first time I have used this company. He gave a really competitive price for the repair and advised that the system is taking in water. I asked for quotes for replacing like for like (audio) and also for a video system. The quotes came really quickly and he explained the differences and answered all my questions on a follow up call. I think that is excellent customer service. Very happy. I would highly recommend.

Brilliant rescue after computer crashes

Home TechWare saved me after two technical crashes in a short space of time. First, I mistakenly wiped most of the data off my smartphone in February 2023, and then (separately) soon afterwards my pc crashed and I lost most files and data there too. In each case, Sam worked closely with me to restore what I needed for my job, working remotely on my mobile, but intensive work over several days was needed on the computer. Sam came down to south London to pick the pc up from my house, and he drove down to return it several days later. Basically his firm fixed everything I needed, and they've arranged for my files to be backed up in future. Throughout they kept me calm as they worked to restore capacity. The financial cost has been reasonable too considering the work they've put in. I'm very satisfied with the results, and highly recommend this firm.

When my computer crashed and wouldn't start again, Sam and his team were amazingly efficient - and fast - in restoring it back to health. It was collected within a couple of hours and returned the end of the next day. Their communication was also terrific throughout the time. Highly recommend.

I had a bathroom fan that needed repair and a light I thought was faulty (but was not). And then, shortly afterwards, my old washing machine shorted out my electrics. Sam and his team were incredibly efficient and helpful not only in sorting out the fan (a simple job for them, swiftly done) and then when I didn't know at first that the washing machine was causing the problem with my electrics they helped me figure that out: Sam took time to talk to me on the phone and find the solution. They have also advised me on which new washing machine to buy (I have also of course looked at Which, but then consulted with Sam). In the course of checking out my light, one of Sam's team accidentally broke part of the fitting — not at all his fault, it was ceramic and easily done — and HomeTechWare replaced the fitting incredibly quickly at no cost to me, it was done without question. I absolutely recommend this firm.

We contacted HomeTechWare after seeing their great reviews on Which Trusted Trader. We were not disappointed. Sam and his team were friendly, knowledgeable and extremely helpful. They bent over backwards to make sure we got what we wanted. We needed to relocate our modem and switch equipment and install networking sockets around the house. They made an initial site visit, working with us to find good solutions, then provided a fully itemised quote. They didn't try to aggressively up-sell and completed the work on time and to the agreed quote. They were also very reasonable and accommodating with the additional work we asked for on the day. They were extremely pleasant at all times and I would recommend them highly.

Needed a bathroom fan and outside duct/vent installed in our house. Sam and his team were one of the few electricians we called who were willing both to do electrical work and minor building work to cut holes and a vent fan through the ceiling and outside to the nearby wall. Sam called back quickly following my initial call, spent a lot of time explaining the different options and communicated well in between getting a quote and fixing a date for installation. Unfortunately, the extractor unit failed several months following but Sam’s team came round to replace free of charge. Excellent service from this firm, and we have recommended this company to our friends living nearby.

Sam and his team (especially Pshemek) were from start to finish professional, reliable, open and brilliant. They not only fitted us a new alarm system but they fitted us new lights, new sockets and gave our new house the once over to confirm our EICR was done correctly. Sam is a great communicator and made the whole process understandable to us. Pshemek is also very professional and explained everything he was doing throughout. Overall, I would never hesitate to recommend Home TechWare to anyone and it gives us great relief that we have a trusted company we can call on if we have any issues in the future (although fingers crossed not!).

HomeTechWare installed a Ring video doorbell and indoor camera at my elderly mother's home. The installation was partially completed in March before the coronavirus lockdown, but had to be halted when it became apparent that the broadband connection in my mother's house would need to be upgraded. Once this was done, the installation was eventually completed in August. I was impressed with HomeTechWare's service throughout. The two men who worked on the initial stage of the installation clearly knew what they were doing and, despite the antiquated electrical wiring and low speed of the existing broadband connection, made every effort to get the video doorbell working. They worked tidily and thoroughly, and took care to explain what they were doing. Once the lockdown started HomeTechWare understood the need to safeguard my mother's health and put no pressure on us to finish the job. After my mother stopped shielding, at my request Pshemek from HomeTechWare came to complete the installation. He made quick work of setting up the video doorbell, talked me through the different settings for the doorbell and made sure everything was working properly before leaving. I would happily recommend HomeTechWare, especially if the work needs to be done in the home of a vulnerable person who needs to be protected at this time.

Great service, great outcome Firstly, Sam was very aware that we are shielding and came himself instead of a colleague who may have been in contact with someone who in turn may have been in contact with someone who had suspected Covid-19 Secondly, he kept us informed as to when he was coming and spent most of the day installing a stand for a TV. We bought TVs from him which were excellent and reasonably priced. He stuck to the agreed price. Thirdly, Sam is knowledgeable, pleasant and we have no hesitation in recommending him to others.

I needed an existing wired burglar alarm system to be removed completely and a new wireless home alarm system to be installed. Sam sent one of his technicians round for a site visit at which he explained in detail how the new alarm system would work. Together we planned what I would need in the way of sensors and where they should go. I was able to ask numerous questions so I felt very well informed and understood the rationale behind the decisions made. When the quote came through I knew exactly what I was ordering rather than it being a list of product numbers and jargon. Removal and installation took 1 1/2 days for 2 technicians which included setting up smart access to the burglar alarm via an app. They overcame any difficulties that they encountered quickly and efficiently and were meticulous in their attention to detail, particularly in testing the system and taking me through the many features. I was really impressed by Home Techware's commitment to ongoing support; as yet I haven't needed to call on them but I know that the alarm system's settings may well need tweaking after we have used it for a couple of weeks and they are happy to do this in order to get things working optimally. Home Techware are not 'cheap' but neither are they expensive. I feel that I got a lot of time and expertise for my money.

I hired Home TechWare to rewire my place as part of a refurbishment project. I was impressed with the care that Sam and his guys took in understanding the project, actively contributing to its shape as well as the execution. The project was not standard and required a good deal of communication to get to the desired result and I'm pleased to say that as well as showing flexibility in accommodating an evolving brief, Sam's guys actively engaged with it contributing their own ideas. They could improve on organisation, but overall very please with the passion and delivery. Recommended.

Happy with overall service and installation. Sam and team were very professional and did a neat and tidy job. They were honest and upfront with any issues or challenge they saw before they started. I am pleased with the install, which included flush fitting of the Ring Elite into a rendered brick wall, connecting it to an external Honeywell Chime using a 8v transformer and connect the Elite to PoE switch. Professionally done. Would highly recommend them.

I had an issue with my home wiring due to a bird that find the way to reach them. I contacted Sam and on the following day they come to check the work to do. They arrange to come back in a couple of days and completed the all work in less than a day (it was quite a messy job to get on top of everything). Both workers were keen to do a proper good job without waste any time, and they are been professional and tidy. We had our lock replaced by Bahnams and following that our Intercom went faulty. We had an electrician come and investigate the fault on our Intercom system and solution was to replace the power supply. Unfortunately the Intercom is very old and the power supply was no longer available. Hence the suggested route was to replace the entire system which we had Banhams around to give us a quote. This was very expensive and my wife suggested to look at Which rated. We got in touch with Sam from HomeTechWare. A few days later two engineers turned up and investigated the system and within an hour the intercom system was working in all flats bar one where the handset was faulty. They were very nice engineers explaining where the fault had occurred and how old systems can be temperamental. We will definitely get our new Intercom system installed by them. They left the property in the same condition they found it, very tidy and highly recommend this company they are so willing to help. The lock was jammed and Sam arrived within 10mins to release the mechanism. Amazing workmanship!

Had security at home updated. Once we had spoken to the company they came round and suggested some products, their service was excellent. We were sent estimates for the products etc. and once agreed, were informed of dates and times for the installation. The installers were very friendly and worked quickly. They left the rooms clean and tidy. We had some wi-fi issues and they came round again to sort those out for us. We have received a couple of calls since to check that we were happy and everything was working.

In mid-November, half my flat was plunged into darkness, repeated efforts to operate tripswitch only lasted a few mins or even seconds. Sam came over to suss out the situation, the next day his team came and meticulously checked for the possible cause, and by lunch-time they had found it (not where anyone had thought) and fixed it, also fixing a couple of other un-ideal features of my electrics on the way. I followed the proceedings, and was very impressed : honest, well-skilled and friendly with gormless client. The cost was very fair for such good service. I will certainly call on them again for anything electrical / electronic (they understand that too), and am happy to recommend them.

I spoke to Sam about having my ring video doorbell hardwired. It was a absolutely pleasant experience. Pleased from start to finish. Paid close attention to requirements and devised a solution for security (CCTV with analytics and a Smart Alarm including some electrical modification work) that exceeded expectations.
