The came in for MOT plus major service. This was done promptly and efficiently and I was kept up to date with the progress. On collecting the car I didn’t recognise it first as it had been cleaned so well that it took my breath away. The car was found to have 2 advisories and the cost of these were sent on a separate quote. Every time I leave my cars here I feel the customer service cannot get better, but it does, 10 gold stars

J.Days replaced the front disc and pad replaced on my Audi A3 that I was advisory on the cars MoT in February. They provided me with an estimate for the work that was necessary and carried it out for the price they had quoted. I have use them for the past 9 years to service my current Audi and and a SAAB 93 I previously owned and trusted the advice they have given me. I have found their estimates to be always reliable and the cost of the final bill, so no surprises or hidden extras. I would highly recommends the service they provide and have every confident in the advice they have given over the years. I consider their charges are competitive and they provide value for money when the quality of their servicing is taken into account. I have also uses their tyre replacement and balancing service which was excellent. As I live in a village close to their workshop and they are happy to collect and return my car without charge, which I find convenient.

As always efficient. Could not believe it booked in for Thursday for a full service. And at 11 o clock I received a call to let me know that my car was ready to collect. What I also liked they did an advisories check and pointed out these issues that will need doing. I've spoken to my wife about this company and she has said she wants to take her car there. Thank you so much to this team. They make you feel so good. If the job they are doing does not take long and you can wait while they do it. Offer you a hot drink. Would recommend this company to anyone who wants help.

I have used J Day Engineering for the last 15 years because they have been and are totally professional in their dealings with Customers. Nothing is too much trouble and nothing is left to chance. I live 45 miles away and the journey is always worth it because the job is always done on time. I have just had an MOT and the Parking Sensor system repaired, which is now working to my total satisfaction. They deserve all the awards they win and I am sure they will be going from strength to strength. The Coffee's not bad either.

Work undertaken: MoT, oil change service and health check on my Audi A3. The MoT highlighted three advisories, and I was provided with advice on the urgency and cost of rectifying each repairs. I found particularly useful as it now enables more easily plan and finance my car’s maintenance over the coming year before the car's next MoT. J.Day continues to provide me with excellent customer service and advice at what I consider to be a competitive price. I therefore have no reason to go elsewhere and will continue to use them to maintain my car and am always happy to recommend them.

J Day are simply a wonderful business, and they like to do things properly and to their own very high standard. They're an RAC Approved workshop and a Which? Trusted Trader accredited business too. An amazing front of house, technical and administration team, accurate and detailed quotes and explanations, courtesy cars or a lift home, coffee and a reception area where you can do a bit of "while you wait" work, and then the work itself is to the highest standard. I've used the team for all of my vehicles for the past two years and there's just never a problem with getting the work done with high quality OEM or branded components. The team genuinely care about doing things properly. It's no wonder they win MotorTrader Industry awards. Highly recommend.

I have called on JD Engineering at short notice twice now, once when the car broke down after sucking in water and then yesterday when a drivetrain warning light appeared. Both times they provided immediate assistance and advice at low or no cost - and even offer hot drinks and toilets whilst you wait! I cannot recommend the team highly enough.

For a change there was room to park pre MOT and for turning. My car was not needed for the day as J Day Engineering kept their word and had the car for just over an hour, which was brilliant. They were extremely efficient and that goes for all of the staff from the office to the workshop.

A friend recommended J Day Engineering when I first moved to the area 5 years ago. I have taken my car to them ever since for services, MOTs and repairs. I have found them to be consistently and exceptionally helpful, honest and professional with their advice and the work they have carried out. Most recently I sought their advice after my car was involved in an accident. The garage my insurance company sent me to insisted I needed a new air conditioning unit but J Day Engineering told me it had not been damaged and was working perfectly. Earlier in the week I asked them to take a look at my lights as I was getting inconsistent dashboard alerts and was due to undertake a long journey the next day. They fitted me in within the hour, checked out the lights and the warning system, replaced a bulb and didn't charge me anything.

I was experiencing problems with my car and had taken it to 2 garages but still had the problem. In December I moved back to Sherborne in Dorset. That when I found J Day engineering in Henstridge. They carried out several tests and repairs . Then today 15 January 26 they had to fit a part. This garage is absolutely amazing. I was corresponding with Karl. But having to pop in to see the team. The service I received was absolutely amazing. Went out of their way to help me. And an accommodate me very well. I highly recommend this garage to anyone. And I will definitely be going back to use them again. A very big big thank you to J Day engineering and all the staff and team.

I phoned J Day at 8am 10/11/2025 to report my car Audi Allroad TDi A4 Quattro would not start they arrived at my house at 8.25am jump started it and returnded to their garage. They replaced my old battery with a new battery, also kept me informed regarding the cost and returned my car to my house in Stalbridge at 2.15pm. I think you would agree that is an excellent service. Thats more than half the cost Audi Yeovil wanted and they wanted 2 days to get the battery.

Impressive work yet again from the J Day Engineering Team! I find it so reassuring to take my 2004 Audi TT to J Day - the mechanics spent hours making it roadworthy after I bought it in Autumn 2004 for £1,000. J Day have just completed its second Full Annual Service and they took time to explain what had been done and what may need to be done in the future. Approachable, informative, helpful. They appear to work with passion and it drives like a dream. Thanks for all the hard work!
