John kept to the agreed timetable, and always carried suitable materials and replacement items (e.g. a new shaver socket to replace a now prohibited type.) He inspected the installation's condition briskly but thoroughly. He devised, without fuss, a neat solution to the immediate problem (a misplaced hall light, and a dark area at the other end of the hall). He cleared up after the work, and was cheerful and positive throughout. He gave value for money. We would certainly employ him again.

John and his team rewired our modern townhouse (many levels so quite complex) and relocated existing circuits into a new fuse box. John gave realistic time frames for the work and a detailed quote. The work was undertaken with care and consideration, the property left tidy and safe at the end of each day whilst work was ongoing. I would not hesitate to recommend John and would certainly use again for any electrical work.

I can totally recommend John. I read his reviews before booking him to complete an EICR. He explained the work required to approve the certification and provided a quote promptly. I'm very happy with the work completed and at all times John was friendly and worked under safe procedures.

Job was not considered urgent so had no issue having to wait 2 weeks. Once there, I was informed that after the electrician established what was required, left shortly afterwards only to return 2 hours later and spent 30-45 minutes changing 2 downlight transformers & a bulk light in a cupboard. The invoice inclusive of vat - breakdown was £66 for parts (too much) and £84 first hour then subsequently £60ph for 2 further hours (also too much - equates to £564 per day). I requested a breakdown of the costs and was ignored four times until today, and that is because I asked 'Which' to investigate, this is why I now have the costs above. His emails always courteous but lacking any empathy or resolute customer service & neglecting any specific detail. I would not recommend on the basis that it has come to this and easily could have been sorted much earlier with a little more understanding & cooperative care for his customers. I certainly won't be using this company again for any of my properties in London.

John and the team completed a great re-wire and fire alarm installation in a five storey Victorian house which is a maze of rooms, staircases and annexes. He is very calm, positive and quick - the work was of an excellent standard and he met his budget and the timetable. John and the team were the lynch-pins of the wider renovation project and their hard work meant I was able to keep the other tradesman on course too. He set the standard. We have been really pleased with the job and would recommend him for a large-scale project like this where you need an electrician who can manage a lot of complexity and detail whilst sticking to a budget. Highly recommended.

I could not recommend John more highly. I have called him a couple of times to mend broken spotlights, replace transformers and fix broken dimmer switches etc. He and his colleague are charming and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. I would definitely use him again.

John recently did work on my mother's house in Beckenham which involved outside lighting and also did work at my rental property in Anerley which has issues and errors identified as part of a ECIR report. He visited both properties and provided a quote promptly even suggesting to my mother cheaper ways to deal with the issue of outside lighting and she was very pleased with the work and how it was conducted. The work at my flat was undertaken professionally and promptly with minimal disruption to tenants. Always polite, professional and dependable I would recommend him to others.

We did some work to our property recently and asked John to install some light fixtures throughout and mend our door buzzer which had stopped working. We had a mishap with a tub that overflowed on the top floor, which ultimately knocked out most of our overhead lighting. Having checked the obvious things without success, we needed help. John was able to come within hours of my call, and sorted the problem very quickly. I really appreciated the fact that he was able to accommodate us so quickly. He's a lovely guy and was very careful with his work. Will definitely keep his details for future. Very happy to recommend him to Which? users!
