Established in the 1970's by John Mccartney, J Mccartney Plumbing & Heating are proud to be one of the oldest family run plumbing business in Glasgow. To this day, the father and son business continues with John's son Jamie now at the helm.
We have extensive experience in installing and maintaining gas boilers and bathroom suites.
We are Worcester Bosch Accredited Installers and can offer extended warranties on all their products.

Given my layman status, Mr McCartney broke everything down in his quotation. On appointment, he came when he said he would, dud what he said he would ( dealing with a few complexities along the way), explained what was to be done ongoing, and charged what he said he would charge. A tidy, professional job, with minimal disruption. Mr McCartney comes with my recommendation.

Jamie fitted a new Bosch boiler for us and did a brilliant job. He was clear in what he was doing, made it really simple and explained everything. Was very attentive to anything you said and any queries he was able to answer. Would highly recommend for anyone seeking to get a new boiler installed.

We had our old combi boiler replaced with a Worcester Bosch combi and two new radiators fitted by J McCartney. Jamie provided a very competitive quotation and installation was done to a very professional standard on the date and to the price agreed. Jamie responded quickly to our request to quote for a boiler and system upgrade. The price was competitive with no hidden extras. Dates were set for the install and the guys rolled up at the appointed time, completing a little ahead of schedule. Budget was met. Everything was explained and questions answered in a straightforward manner. Jamie and his team were easy to have around, cleared up afterwards and left us feeling confident we were in safe hands. I'd highly recommend them and have already suggested to a family member that she make use of the McCartney team. Trusted traders indeed.

I contacted Jamie to install a new boiler for me after my old one packed in. He was professional in all aspects of the service, from sticking to the appointments he made with me, doing what he said he would do when he said he would do it, giving me a lot of confidence that things would go smoothly and in fact they did, which significantly reduced my anxiety levels! The boiler is fabulous, the new HIVE smart thermostat is wonderful and I could not be happier with the work done. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone.

I used J McCartney (Plumbing & Heating Limited) to replace our old and inefficient boiler. Jamie was fantastic at talking us through available options and recommending correct size of boiler to suit our needs. He answered all our questions honestly and in full and even took time to explain the controls. Fitting was completed as agreed with minimal mess and disruption and all rubbish was taken away. A genuine business I would have no hesitation in recommending to others.

I used J McCartney (Plumbing & Heating Limited) to install a top of the range boiler and a new radiator for our kitchen which was being redone. Jamie was very efficient. He turned up on time and worked quickly and efficiently and explained throughout the progress he was making. Jamie also put new valves on our older radiators throughout the house which were broken. A year later we have had no issues with the boiler or radiators and we intend to use Jamie in the future. He came highly recommended through word of mouth and lived up to all our expectations.
