James inspired confidence from the outset. He listened to our ideas, and his plans were very practical. We spent time in his showroom discussing the computer-generated designs and choosing finishes. The kitchen refit went to plan, taking just over 3 weeks, with James co-ordinating all the required external tradesmen, from the skip to the decorator. He was very punctual, as were the other people he used. The bathroom design was just what we asked for, but he hit a snag when replacing the bath with a walk-in shower - the staircase ceiling encroached into the required space, so he had to raise the shower tray height by a few inches and remodel the ceiling above the staircase. Having identified the problem he worked out an acceptable solution, and didn't charge us extra for the extra work involved. This led to the timescale being extended from 2 weeks to about 4 weeks (which included a couple of bank holidays). They used high-end quality fixtures and fittings, reflected in the price paid. A couple of snagging issues emerged after the work was completed, and James returned to fix them within a few days. We would happily recommend James and Sam. They worked diligently, cleaned up at the end of each day's work, and kept us fully informed of their progress.

From start to finish James's service and attention to detail has been superb. Right from the initial planning stages, through selection of units, appliances and décor James carefully listened to what we wished to achieve and delivered a design plan that exceeded our expectations. Throughout the fitting process, James carefully orchestrated and supervised the plumbers, plasterers, electricians and window fitters so that disruption to our daily lives was minimised as far as possible. He ensured that we knew who to expect and when they would arrive each day and delivered the project on schedule and on Budget. The result is a Kitchen, dining area and informal seating area that we are extremely proud of and space that has drawn high praise from everyone who has seen it. We have absolutely no hesitation in highly recommending J2 Design.

We have used this company on three separate occasions: 1. fitted bedroom, 2. Study/library and just finished 3. Fitted kitchen and utility. They are really picky in the right way - notice tiny things we have missed and correct them. Really good to work with and totally trustworthy. The products are of good quality and have enhanced our rooms. The new design for the kitchen has had everyone who has seen it saying "wow the room is so much bigger now " - we have more floor space and more cupboard space than previously and I am now able to work looking towards the Windows instead of in my own light. Cupboard door openings in the new kitchen are now sensibly planned so that we don't have to reach round the door to access them interior of the cupboard. Workmen are a pleasure to have in the house and they go the extra mile. Our study library is a brilliant space and really well designed. J2 Design went the extra mile from the outset. Managed by James - we chose them to re-design our kitchen & orangery. He provided innovative ideas whilst listening to what was important to us. James came to our house on several occasions, at times to suit us and the attention to detail was excellent. J2 helped us to re-design our tired ensuite bathroom into a thing of beauty. They completely understood our requirements and made intuitive design suggestions which transformed the room making it feel much more spacious, The porcelain and cabinetry are very high quality, yet re-assuringly inexpensive. They even managed to source the particular tap and shower which I had set my heart on! The re-fit itself was completed quickly and with minimal fuss and mess. All of the services, electrical, plumbing, tiling, flooring and decorating were carefully co-ordinated to be on site just when they were needed and J2 were always on hand to answer any questions we had as the work progressed. We're pleased we chose to work with James, Joanne and the team, and are delighted to recommend them.
