Household Removals

JamVans offer a full professional removal service whether you are moving to a new home in London, nationally or internationally. From the experience of the surveyor, to the professionally trained staff and the well-equipped vehicles you are ensured to receive our high quality service.

Storage

We are able to offer short or long term storage in purpose built 240 cubic feet containers. Storage facilities are temperature controlled and have constant 24/7 CCTV in operation. All items in our containerised storage fully insured.

Commercial Removals

Here at JamVans we understand the difficulties with moving office. Therefore with our careful planning, flexibility and knowledge we ensure that disruption is kept to a minimum. We work with the company to ensure that the removal goes smoothly and down time is kept to a minimum.

Packing Service

Our packing service is available for either a whole house or simply if you want a few items packed, we have all the materials required

Matt was a star in helping to organise a last minute move. JamVans went above and beyond to help with the move for my grandparents, from the start of the initial phone call, to the survey, to the move, they ensured everything is a smooth process taking the stress off from the move. Shane was very friendly and clearly explained how to do the survey and Josh was excellent at helping to do any heavy lifting and assembling furniture. They packaged up all their belongings and safely moved them into the new property. Everyone was very friendly and helpful, highly recommend using.

JamVans were brilliant in a complex and delicate situation. Only 75% of the house contents were being moved so this entailed care and patience when doing the full pre-move packing, and then to only take the correct items on the days of the move. JV's customer service was absolutely excellent. Every office member was responsive and attentive, and the 3 guys (Nick, Alex & Brad) doing the packing and move were cheerful, helpful and went out of their way to ensure a successful move with minimal stress, including an unexpected late finish. Thank you!

Jamvans moved me from London to North West Derbyshire recently, including packing and storage for a week. Shane the surveyor, Annette in the office& the removal guys that I met (Ben, Dan x2 & James) were all so friendly and helpful. They made the move feel as relaxed as it could be. Everything went according to plan and to the times scheduled. The removal guys worked so hard & were just lovely. Thank you to everyone and I’d definitely recommend Jamvans!

Used JamVans recently for the second time. Super experience both times. This latest move we decided to use the full packing service - very glad that we did, it saved us a lot of hassle... everything was packed professionally and carefully and arrived in tact. Any small issues were taken care of immediately and satisfactorily by the moving team as well as the office team. Highly recommend and would use again.

Don't believe the online quotation
I can't comment on how well this company can carry out the work, but their approach to securing work is really objectionable. I initially obtained a quotation from their website that was very reasonable and competitive. But to take this forward I then had to schedule a Zoom call with them (for which I had to wait a week), after which they sent me a revised quotation that was more than 50% higher. I did not provide any additional information during the Zoom call, except to confirm that the volume needed for the move was less than that allowed for in the online quotation - so I had to conclude that they never intended to provide the service for the price quoted online. Also just to note that they recorded the Zoom call inside my house without (as far as I remember) asking my permission for this.

The team made what can be a stressful experience really great and somewhat fun, though still tiring. They were fast and efficient and friendly at all stages. We got a brilliant price and because we were moving to the company's hometown, the crew they sent us was from Lock, Stock and Two smoking barrels. Only points for improvement would be giving extra crew and tools for furniture dismantling and re-assembly and more carpet coverings. Apart from that was excellent and would be very happy to use them again.

This is the ultimate storage and removal company. Allow me to explain how they absolutely saved me from true disaster: We were packing up and storing all our stuff to go abroad on an extended trip abroad for a few months. The team comes on Friday and without fuss quickly gathers our stuff. So smooth, and worthy of a stellar review itself. The next afternoon, a day before we were fixing to leave I realized to My horror that I had left my passport in one of the drawers I stored with Jamvans. Panicked and feeling like an idiot, and aware they were closing soon I frantically Facebooked Jam Vans explaining the situation. Matt answered calmly and reassured me it would be Ok. He personally located the “pod” recovering my passports. He then arranged to meet me personally to give me the passports. We had a complex nonrefundable itinerary booked for the next day and I would’ve been out thousands of pounds, not to mention without a place to stay as I was ending my lease! I later learned that Matt was the CEO of Jamvans - amazing! Some companies truly strive towards more than just profit, but truly have empathy for others. This is one of them. The reviews are real. Don’t look elsewhere for transporting, moving or storing your stuff. Thanks again!

An excellent experience with one tiny (but important) blip

JamVans helped us make our big move from London to Scotland. Things then got postponed due to Covid-19. Nine weeks of lockdown later, we finally got underway. Communications with Gemma and Annette were clear throughout. Dean and Alex were brilliant during the 2 days of our pack up and move. Positive, polite and helpful, they got to work in a speedy and efficient manner. Professional at all times, they helpfully suggested we might need extra guys to complete everything and get us packed up in time (at additional cost, which was our fault and we had no problem with) Unloading at the other end in Scotland the next day was quickly and methodical, we couldn't have been happier. Now for the blip - we originally paid approx 3K (in full) back in March and as mentioned required extra help to finish packing and loading which represented about 10% extra on our bill. Having never questioned the amount or refusing to pay, we were phoned 3 times on the actual move day to settle the account. Once whilst travelling in the car up to Scotland, and twice more not long after we'd arrived and were still unloading the vans. The insistence by members of staff that we settle the account before the rest of the unload was completed seemed unnecessary and high-handed. It put us in a difficult position with stuff left to be unloaded and soured what was otherwise an excellent experience. Lack of empathy at a stressful and busy time, could have been handled in a totally different way. It's not all about the money!
