At James Rae Plumbing and Heating, we take pride in the service we provide for our customers in Glasgow and the surrounding area. Our experienced team, competitive prices and trusted advice will help guide you through any heating project no matter what size.
We can offer you the whole package, from advice on what boiler suits your home and needs best, a quality installation, and great aftercare that includes at least a five-year warranty. Working only within Glasgow and the surrounding areas also means that we can be there if you need further help with your installation.
Glow-worm boilers suplied and fitted with a 10-year warranty.
Vaillant boilers supplied and fitted with a 10-year warranty.
Worcester boilers with up to 12 years guarantee.
We can fit any other boiler if you have a preference for another brand.
All our boilers come with a system flush, central heating filter, a programmable thermostat and a carbon monoxide alarm as standard.

My boiler finally died. James fitted a boiler for my elderly father who was very pleased with the service. I phoned James who got back to me the following morning, came out same day for a quote. James installed a new gas boiler for me and I could not fault his work in any way. He also does yearly checks on the boiler and my gas fire. He is totally professional, meticulous in his work and an extremely nice and reliable tradesman. I would not use anyone else. You will not find a better tradesman. Highly recommended.

This was the first time I had used James Rae Plumbing. They carried out a boiler service at my daughter's house. They turned up at the agreed time (even texted to let me know they were on their way), carried out the service with no fuss or mess and the invoice was exactly what they had quoted. Although this was not a major job I was impressed with the efficient and polite service and will certainly be using them again.

James has been doing the annual gas checks on my house for several years, and also regular boiler repairs. The old boiler finally gave up last week though, but James was able to respond quickly both to the initial call out and then with quoting for and installing a new boiler. I highly recommend James and trust him to provide a high-quality friendly service at a great price. If I could give him more than 5 stars I would!

I contacted James to service my boiler as he had good reviews here and he arranged to come a couple of days later, at a time that was convenient for me. He was really friendly and efficient, I was very impressed that he even had a step stool with him- no need for me to get my stepladder out! I was really pleased, and will definitely get him to service the boiler next year.

James was recommended by my neighbour that has used him for years. I asked James if he would change all our radiators and heating control system (Hive). He also serviced our boiler at the same time. The work James did was outstanding and unlike other tradesman I have used he ploughed on through the day just taking a short break so he could complete the job. James responded immediately to my request (via the Worcester-Bosch website) to fit a new boiler and visited soon after to quote for the work. He understood what I was looking for and provided the best value quote. The installation was carried out on the scheduled date without any issues. James was very helpful in using some of the previously installed and concealed wiring to mount the new boiler controller - providing a clean and professional finish. James was professional, helpful and cheerful - and I would have no hesitation in going back to him for any heating work in the future.

James completed a service on our Worcester Bosch boiler, checked our radiators and gave us advice about how to make our heating system work better for us. A thorough and professional job. James Rae has supplied and fitted two new boilers for me in different properties over the past couple years and I am extremely happy with the quality of the work undertaken and the overall professionalism. Initial quotes were provided in a timely fashion after discussing the best available options and the work commenced soon after agreement. James is reliable and accommodating when carrying out the work with good communication and a drive to make sure the customer is satisfied before the work is considered complete.
