JB7 Plumbing and Heating Ltd previously traded as JB Plumbing and Heating.

We specialise in repairing, servicing and installing central heating systems. We also carry out full bathroom refurbishments and complete other work such as leaks and blockages.

We work throughout Manchester and Greater Manchester.

I used JB Plumbing and Heating to remove a radiator from my basement. The process was smooth and communication was good throughout even when a reschedule needed to be discussed. The treadesperson was prompt and the work was of a high standard, checking at each step what I wanted and leaving things tidy at the end, takiung away the extra pipe. Very happy overall.

Hidden charge for a quote
I am landlord and have used JB Plumbing in the past, had good experience and have left positive reviews here and elsewhere. However, I will not use them again, my latest experience has been very disappointing. We had a broken toilet flush their engineer arrived more than two hours early spent 5 minutes on site said it couldn’t be fixed in one hour and left. JB Plumbing billed us £150 for the 1 hour visit and quoted £468 to fix the problem. I asked if any of the 1 hour payment would be credited against the quote. JB Plumbing refused. Basically I have been charged £150 for a quote. This is not the norm, in my experience with my electrician, appliance engineer & other plumbers, credit is given against the final repair bill in these circumstances. I have now had this repair done by another firm with very similar charges except £100 of their call out charge is taken as a prepayment of the final repair. Be warned, if it is not a simple job you will pay a lot for a quote.

Hi, Thank you for taking the time out of your day to leave us a review. We take all reviews on board, whether it is a positive or negative review. We sent you over the diagnostic statement and you agreed to our price for the diagnostic and from there, we booked you in. Our engineers are highly experienced and as you can imagine, some diagnostics take longer than others. In your case, our engineer was able to diagnose the issue in a short space of time. We couldn't have done the job on the day as we needed to order parts etc, but we did factor some of the diagnostic fee into the quote that we sent. The prices we send are transparent and inclusive of the VAT. The diagnostic fee is always chargeable as this is our engineers time, travel, labour and knowledge. Our customers are never obliged to accept the quote, it is based on our engineers labour, travel and parts. We are happy that you got sorted in the end. Thanks again for leaving your review.

Great service from JB Plumbing and Heating. I had a problem with my bathroom sink which needed fixing. JB Plumbing and Heating responded very quickly to my post. They explained everything and what the cost would be. Arrived on time and was very clean and efficient. Tidied up after the work was carried out. The work was carried out at the price quoted. I would highly recommend JB Plumbing and Heating.

JB Plumbing Heating were quick to respond to my help to solve a problem with my shower unite. A time was set for them to call and iinspect the shower, they arrived on time and carried out a survey and identified the problem. The shower was made operational, JB plumbing worked quick, clean and efficent and the to quoted price. I would recommend them to anyone.

There is a reason that I use JB Plumbing and Heating to replace my gas boiler and to power clean it, is that they are reliable and professional. From their prompt communication by email to their staff arriving on time, their actions greatly reassure me that they take their work seriously. This included cleaning up after themselves and ensuring all paperwork was done and completed. Whilst there, the staff got on with the job without any fuss and were pleasant throughout. They are now my "go-to" company for any work that needs doing in the future.

Install new combi boiler, 3 new radiators & update existing radiators

Initially came to install 3 new radiators for an air heat pump. After a detailed, professional discussion about our current set and the guidelines for air heat pumps, I decided to get a new combi boiler, the 3 new radiators and update our existing current radiators. Also went for the power flush and the filter system. They did a great job of removing our huge water tank, older heating systems. I am thankful they managed to integrate and update most of our current heating system with the new one. There were a few niggles plus a leaking boiler which got sorted out as friendly and as fast as possible the next day. Would have liked to have had an actual 24-hour emergency call-out for the unexpected leaking boiler.

I was able to get an appointment within a few days, and there was no issue with me moving it at short notice due to work commitments. Work was done very quickly and efficiently. Only slight downside is that the work was probably done in about 30 minutes, but you still pay for an hour as that what's the callout fee covers - can't complain too much though, as the pricing is explained clearly in advance.
