JBC is a family firm which can undertake many different kinds of home improvement. In our case they upgraded a timber conservatory door. Where several other tradesmen could only propose replacing it with a PVC door, which would have been unsightly in contrast to the rest of the conservatory, JBC were enthusiastic about keeping the traditional material and making necessary improvements which would enhance it. Their work was meticulous and highly professional and extremely good value for money. This is a firm (a father and two sons)that makes quality of workmanship and first rate service its highest priorities. Their website has a lot of photographs showing different kinds of jobs they have undertaken, all of them impressive.

They did some internal modification work for us which made our attic space more accessible. It was the first time we'd used them and they were recommended to us by our neighbours who had similar work done. They were professional, well mannered and well presented. I have used J.B.C Ltd for various jobs over the years, including the redesign and build of the loft, the expansion and merging of the kitchen and dining room area and new decking and patio doors. They also painted and decorated the whole of the house, fitted our windows and built and installed a bespoke front door on the property. I have asked them back for so many jobs, as their work and service is consistently excellent. They communicated with me very well throughout the projects, and took on board any suggestions that I made. They are the most polite workmen that I have ever used and I was extremely impressed with everything they did. Where there have been slight remedial issues, no matter how small, they came back to fix this for me with no problems. Their service was exemplary and I would recommend them to anyone.

Needed a fix to a very large single glazed window on half landing that was both losing heat and letting in sound from neighbouring lorries. The JBC Secondary glazing was perfect for our Listed building - massive improvement in both draughts and noise and you would not know it was there! Excellent and efficient throughout - Roland and assistant were quick, tidy and friendly. Could maybe have got done cheaper but would certainly have been at expense of quality and probably on effectiveness.

We have a rented flat in the New Town area of Edinburgh and needed a new handrail installed quickly to meet the requirements of a tenant who was just moving in. JBC contacted the agent, gained entry and measured up/costed the work. We were happy with the quote and they agreed to bring the job forward. All work was completed 100% on time and to agreed cost. JBC workmanship and attention to detail were excellent and we are delighted with the final result. They were truly "trusted traders" and we will use them again on other jobs that need to be done. We are renovating a flat in Edinburgh that required a new set of sash and case windows. JBC was recommend by my mum who had a bathroom and staircase installed by them. The windows look fantastic, they fit in with the style of the building and are great quality. Russell and Roland take great care in their work and seem genuinely enthusiastic about what they do, their attention to detail is something you don't get with all tradesmen. I would definitely recommend them.

JBC are fantastic! I can't recommend them highly enough. My staircase was dark with lots of very dark wood panelling and now it's bright with the white and glass staircase. They removed my pine clad ceiling and replaced with new plaster and coving. They also laid a new wooden floor and skirtings. Their attention to detail is a credit to them. They are a professional family business and take great pride in their work. Thank you so much JBC you were amazing! Will definitely call upon your services again for my next project and will not hesitate to recommend you

Roland and Russell covered all access areas, removed the old window, installed the new window and finishings and did a very neat job indeed. It was very competitively priced, the guys were very friendly and polite, and they cleared up after themselves. Far better dealing with a local business which is highly thought of than a national company with subcontracted work and non existent after sales service. I highly recommend the business - they inspire confidence from first contact to completion.
