On turning on a switch above a work surface to turn the electricity supply to our dishwasher on we heard the sound of short circuiting occurring, so didn't dare use the machine. As I didn't know the name of an electrician, I used the Which Trusted Traders scheme to find an electrician, and top of the list was JJB Electrical Ltd, which after reading reviews, I contacted. I was told that they could see us at 8:30am the next morning. At 8:15am, they arrived - more than prompt, to have a look at the problem. JJB Electrical Ltd are a team of two happy, pleasant gentlemen, who, on entering our property offered to take off their shoes. On disassembling the switch, they found that ants had got into the switch, and so were the cause of the shorting sound that we had heard. The switch therefore had to be replaced. JJB Electrical charge £85 for the first hour, which includes any components which they need to change. So the cost of the new switch was included in their charge. When we phoned them initially, I was told that they usually solve a problem within an hour, and this was certainly the case here; removal of switch, problem detection, installation of new switch took about 30 minutes. I am very pleased with the service we received from them and would certainly have them back again if we ever have another problem.

After years of experiencing workmen who have completed 2nd rate work, charging top prices, then having to pay again to get things put right by someone else, I decided to look on Which Trusted Traders website, as they have a very good reputation for meticulously vetting tradesmen’s work. I needed some electrical work carried out in the home. I came across JJB Electrical, Jamie & Dan, from their excellent 5* reviews. Im quite nervous about having any work done in the home, only because of my previous bad experiences in the past, I think they both picked up on this from when they first met me. They were very quick to respond & their quote was very competitive, they advised on ideas, giving different options if needed. They have extensive knowledge in what they do. On installation day, they were punctual, they were very tidy, kept mess to a minimum, always respecting my home from dust or damage. They were a pleasure to have in my home & are very funny and friendly guys. They stuck to their quote. Jamie & Dan are perfectionists, they work to an excellent standard, are highly professional at what they do. The whole process was hassle free. They are also very honest, I overpaid them on 2 occasions, they came back to my home to repay me. It has been a complete pleasure and a breathe of fresh air to have them in my home. I wouldn’t hesitate to highly recommend them to anyone. I’ve also rebooked them to do my kitchen and garden room.

Excellent professional service. Original consultation very helpful in generating ideas. Quotes were very clear and timely. Quickly responded to some questions I had about changing the job spec. On installation day, punctual, easy to deal with, took their time to deliver an excellent installation. I have no hesitation recommending them.

These guys did a great job advising me on the best ways to make sure my flat was sound to get a new electricity board. They also fitted a number of new heaters in my flat. They did great work and were a pleasure to deal with.

Great service and highly recommended. Jamie and Dan installed a new oven, hobs, cooker hood, light fitting and 2 new sockets. Efficient, cleaned up when done, everything works to perfection. The final cost was completely in line with the quote. Look forward to using you again in the future.

Wiring in our house is about 40yrs old, thought we would need the whole house rewired. JJB Electrical Ltd completed an 'Electrical installation condition report', this report showed what essential Electrical work needed doing and what was ok. They then discussed this report with us, carefully explaining what needed doing, and what they could do to issue an Electrical Installation Certificate. Thankfully the whole house didn't need a complete rewiring. We had a quote upfront which they kept to. They required a 50% deposit and 50% on completion. The work was completed on schedule, and they left the house clean and tidy. I would recommend Jamie and Dan to anybody that requires safe hassle free electrical work done.

Since October 2021, when I moved into this house, I have used JJB for work from a complete wiring check and a new consumer unit, to outside sockets, a car charging point, replacement of downlighters with LEDs to significant extra power sockets and loft and garage lighting. I have always found them to give clear technical advice, and be willing to consider and explain options. Their prices are reasonable and they come when they say they will, and do what they promise, and then clear up afterwards.
