John goes beyond the definition of good customer service - his meticulous attention to detail and his friendly manner make him a pleasure to deal with. He always does that extra bit - e.g/ talking me stage by stage through temporarily fixing an ancient boiler to fix my hot water problem , for 45mins over the phone - days before Xmas when he was on the way to the theatre with this wife! He is so knowledgable and you know his is selling you the best part/equipment for your needs - not being swayed by particular brand led incentives. He is independent, impartial and an expert. I trusted him whole-heartedly with our total boiler re-fit when we went off on holiday for a week and left our house keys with him. A genuinely lovely bloke who really cares about what he does. Highly recommended to my friends since.

I called John as the pump on my water system wasn't running and I had very little pressure. After some questioning John suggested that this was most likely due to the burst mains water in our area. Thus saving me a call out. I booked up John there and then to service my boiler. He turned up on date and on time, was most informative, fixed a minor problem, explained the future (for my boiler) and charged a reasonable fee. Will use again.

I normally don’t give any review. However John did an excellent job in replacing my old boiler in June that I would like to share this out. He was very dedicated and professional in the job as well as giving me great advice on how to maintain the new boiler. Great Job!

John looked after our old boiler for 20 years or more and has recently installed new radiators and a new boiler. His attention to detail is exceptional, as are his skills and care. John fitted a new combi boiler and radiators for us in November 2013, replacing an old Baxi tank-based system and removing a gas fire in the process. Very competitive quote; top-knotch work, going out of his way to make sure all the pipe-work was neat and tidy; knows his trade inside-out and back-to-front; and is a thoroughly pleasant bloke to have around the house to boot. Thoroughly and whole-heartedly recommended, we will definitely be using his services again.

I asked John to carry out a routine annual inspection of my boiler and gas fireplace. He was very thorough and helpful, and explained things as he went. To my (mis)forutune his thoroughness did lead him to identify a serious problem with the chimney that I suspect other servicemen may well have missed. John demonstrated the problem to me, and explained very clearly and honestly that due to the severity of the fault, the fireplace had to be disconnected by law. Although it is frustrating to be without our fireplace, I appreciate that using it in its current state would put both my family and our neighbours' in danger, so I'm glad that John was indeed able to spot the problem at all. So, yes, I would certainly recommend John and his number is now firmly in my phonebook.

Our boiler started to cut out recently and following an inspection we were advised by another plumber that we needed to replace the boiler. I wrote to John yesterday and invited him to give me a quote to install the new boiler. John immediately called me to discuss the problems I was having as he judged from the information I gave him that our boiler should still have many years of life left in it. During the call John quickly identified a number of potential solutions and proceeded to guide me through the process of trying each one in turn. Fifteen minutes later and the boiler was back up and running. John is an absolute star and a credit to his profession.

I couldn't recommend John Creasey highly enough. Following my successful attempt at bleeding a radiator my boiler quickly began making a strange noise and its lights indicated it was overheated. Referring to Which? Local for the first time I noticed John had more reviews than anyone else, though was concerned there weren't many recent postings (only 3 in 2013) leading me to fear he perhaps wasn't as active as I'd initially expected. I needn't have worried, not only did John answer my call promptly he has been patient and incredibly helpful at resolving my boiler problem, explaining what might have caused the problem (that'll be me, releasing too much air from the pressured system it transpired) and talked me through self diagnoses. Recommending John is easy, he's the most helpful, knowledgeable and enthusiastic tradesman I've ever dealt with. Thanks to Which? Local for listing him - based upon my experience I am surprised there aren't more recent recommendations, and thanks of course to John for getting my boiler up and running again!

John has recently installed a new Valliant combi boiler fo me and I cannot recommend him too highly. Not only is he extremely knowledgable and enthusiastic, but the quality of his workmanship is also of the highest quality. It is clear that John takes a real pride in his work and is prepared to go to a great deal of effort to make sure that his clients are completely satisfied. As well as flushing all the radiators, fitting new thermostatic valves throughout and fitting the new boiler, Jonn also made a wonderful job of tidying up the Heath Robinsonesque arrangement of pipes lurking in a previously hidden corner. He also fitted a very neat little radiator in the kitchen and dealt very diplomatically with my elderly neighbour's concerns about the siting of the ventilation duct on the outside wall. All of this was done for a competitive price, considering the amount of time, care and effort John put into the job at the hottest time of the year I am truly delighted with the quality of John's work and will definitely use him again in the future

Mr. Creasey responded promtly to my first call to inspect a gas oven that was found to unservicable. A new oven was ordered and after delivery the installers sent to carry out the installation could not alter a copper pipe. Mr. Creasey was contacted and he attended within 2 hours to assess the problem and installed the oven the next day. His service in all respects was first class.

I phoned Mr Creasey to ask for a home visit to provide a home energy analysis. Unfortunately I was out of his catchment area, but despite that he then continued to provide plenty of advice over the phone. I have no doubt that he would provide a professional and conscientious service.

My sister decided to use Mr Creasey based on good customers reviews already on Which? Local. She was not disappointed. He replaced an old central heating boiler (condemned by British Gas) with a new condensing one and at the same time replaced the existing radiators plus thermostatic valves , put in a new timer and hall thermostat. Changes to the pipework were also necessary to fit the metric size radiators. This pipework was very neat and tidy. Mr CreaseyÍs work was of the highest quality. He explained exactly what he was going to do and was happy to answer the many questions put to him. He was very knowledgeable and seemed to take a pride in his work. Nothing was too much trouble and he took his time completing the job. He couldn't be faulted and my sister is more than happy to recommend him.

My wife phoned Mr Creasey when we had a problem replacing an oven door which had been removed for cleaning. He arrived within ten minutes as he was in the area and fixed the door back on. His fee was very reasonable and the service he provided was excellent.

John's done several jobs for us over the last ten years and I can't recommend him too highly. He seriously knows his stuff. A circuit board failed on our boiler, but he found an even older circuit board lying around in his stocks and successfully replaced it with that, just charging for the labour. When the gas hob mysteriously stopped working he knuckled down to some detective work and eventually found an insect in a tiny pipe. Nice guy to have around too.

Gas hob burner would not stay lit. I phoned Mr Creasey who was able to identify the fault from my description. While on the phone he suggested a number of simple remedies I could try, they worked. Concerned and at my request in case the fix was not permenant he made a number of calls to source a replacement part. As my hob is still working I have left well alone. Excellent friendly service I have no hesitation in recommending him to others and would like to thank Which Local users for flagging him up.

Phoned John on a bitterly cold Sunday evening when our central heating went after a general power failure..John talked me through the possibilities. Over the phone, I reset the control panel, checked the boiler and the heating system started (phew!). These are no doubt basic checks to make but John was very supportive on the phone and I would recommend him as a decent professional. Thank you again John!

My room heater packed up and I couldn't find anyone who could or would fix it until I came upon John here at Which Local. In spite of being frantically busy and my living outside his normal range, he came and diagnosed a stuck fan, which he sorted in about 15 minutes. The heater is now working perfectly, and I shall certainly ask him to come again if I have any more gas problems. The charge was very reasonable, too.
